[: 3rd POV :]
After Daniel had understood the truth behind the sealing of the world and gained his overwhelming surge of new powers, a cold silence enveloped him.
His gaze had shifted to something far more mundane, a docket filled with information gathered by Walter and his network.
He scrolled through it slowly, eyes sharpening at every vague line of text, every report and rumour that hinted at the same foul name, ZeroOrganisation.
The data was messy and incomplete.
Some reports contradicted each other, others were nothing but whispers gathered from survivors too traumatised to speak coherently.
Yet Daniel didn't need accuracy.
The faintest clue was enough for him.
He could track them.
He would track them.
His instincts alone could tear through their veils of secrecy like paper.
His gaze dropped to the mission displayed by the System, the one that had appeared when he rescued Erina.
[: Elimination of Zero Organisation and Abomination Facilities :]
- Zero Organisation total members
- 11,988 / 1,872,728,820,900
- Abomination Facilities
- 1 / 758
- Time Limit: 1 Year
- Reward: 1 Million Points
Daniel's eyes lingered on those numbers.
One year.
The same time limit that the System had given him before the universe turned its eyes upon this world.
He let out a slow, controlled breath, though his aura flickered dangerously, dark, suffocating, and restless.
It wasn't a coincidence.
It was fate.
A final reckoning that demanded him to act before the world collapsed under the weight of both external and internal rot.
The name Zero Organisation echoed in his head like poison.
The same group is responsible for countless lives lost.
The same twisted cult that had experimented on children, turning them into monsters for amusement and research.
The same filth that had chained Erina.
His eyes darkened, void-like and emotionless on the surface, yet inside, a storm brewed.
"Eleven thousand…" he muttered quietly, reading the number of confirmed members. "…out of over a trillion."
A whisper of cold laughter escaped his lips—low, empty, venomous.
"So that's all that's been confirmed, huh? The rest hiding behind nations, thrones, and shadows."
His aura pulsed again, distorting the space around him.
The darkness behind him rippled like the surface of a black ocean.
"They think they can hide," he whispered, his tone calm but terrifyingly hollow.
"They think their gods, their wealth, their walls, can protect them from me…"
He closed the docket and leaned back in his chair, the dim light casting half his face in shadow.
For a moment, he saw Erina's trembling form flash through his mind, the chains, the blood, the terror in her eyes when she first met him.
His jaw tightened until it cracked audibly.
"Zero Organisation…" he murmured again, voice thick with restrained fury.
"You've buried your sins under gold and power. You've treated lives like resources to harvest. You've painted the world with pain just to amuse yourselves."
The air in the room grew heavier, colder.
The mana around him began to distort violently, reacting to the hatred leaking from him.
"You took children," he hissed, his tone dark and venomous.
"You broke them. You enjoyed it."
The shadows behind him writhed.
Void energy slithered through the room like serpents.
He rose slowly, his movements calm but deliberate, and the ground beneath his feet fractured under invisible pressure.
"They thought no one would find them. They thought they could buy silence with fear. But their screams will echo through the abyss before I'm done."
His aura surged like a storm unleashed, the same power that had terrified kings and made sovereigns tremble.
But this time, it wasn't for conquest or defence. It was pure, unfiltered hatred.
He clenched his hand, and the Void pulsed violently around his fingers.
"One year… that's how long this world has before the universe turns its eyes here." His voice was cold, methodical, filled with murderous intent.
"Then I'll make sure that before those eyes arrive, Zero is nothing but ash."
He turned his gaze back to the System interface.
He could already imagine the countless screams, the burning laboratories, the shattered chains.
Daniel's aura dimmed slightly, focusing into an eerie stillness, like a predator locking onto its prey.
"Time limit or not," he said softly, "I'll erase every trace of them. Not one will remain. Not their name, not their memory."
"For Erina," he whispered.
"For every soul they destroyed."
The darkness surged around him like a living tide, responding to his will.
"Zero Organisation… your end begins now."
The void behind him rumbled faintly, as if the universe itself trembled at his words.
And when Daniel stepped forward, it was as though death itself had taken a shape, ready to hunt.
Since there were over a hundred reported locations tied to the Zero Organisation, Daniel didn't waste a single moment.
Time was not on his side, one year before the universe noticed this world's presence, and one year before everything descended into chaos.
His first destination was the northern edge of the Human Continent, a forsaken place where even the bravest refused to tread.
It was a frozen wasteland known as Silent Cold, a land of perpetual blizzards and deathly stillness where SSS-class monsters roamed freely, and even the air itself seemed hostile to life.
[: Void Step :]
The command slipped past his lips like a whisper, and the world folded.
In the blink of an eye, Daniel emerged within the icy expanse, his presence warping the surrounding mana.
A gust of frost-laden wind howled against him, but his body remained untouched, his new powers rendering the cold meaningless.
The land stretched endlessly, a vast ocean of white and shattered peaks, where corpses of titanic beasts lay half-buried beneath ancient glaciers.
He scanned the area, eyes glowing faintly with otherworldly light as his senses reached across the blizzard.
The traces of human activity were faint but present: distorted mana signatures, remnants of machinery buried under layers of ice, and the twisted essence of abominations.
A facility lay hidden beneath the surface.
Daniel's gaze hardened.
The memory of Erina's broken body, her trembling voice and hollow eyes replayed in his mind like a wound that refused to heal.
His hatred simmered, silent but absolute.
"Zero Organisation…" he muttered coldly.
"Let's see how long your filth can hide."
The air trembled.
With another step, Daniel vanished once more into the blizzard, his hunt for vengeance beginning.
The moment Daniel arrived in the frozen wasteland known as Silent Cold, the air itself trembled beneath the weight of his presence.
The land was a desolate expanse of white and death, jagged glaciers stretched toward the heavens like the claws of a dead god, and the wind screamed endlessly across the plains, carrying whispers of long-forgotten battles.
The temperature plummeted to the point where even mana would freeze mid-flow, but Daniel paid it no mind.
His expression was calm, eyes narrowed with lethal intent.
Without wasting a breath, his voice echoed softly, yet it carried the force of command that bent reality itself.
[: Eyes of Calamity: Far Sight, Target Locked, Status View :]
His irises shifted, the once-normal pupils slit into draconic void sigils that pulsed with crimson and black.
In that instant, his vision expanded beyond mortal comprehension.
His sight fragmented into billions of threads, racing through the continent like streaks of light, bypassing ice, stone, and distance alike.
Every fluctuation of mana, every faint vibration beneath the snow, every heartbeat within the frozen miles, all of it became clear to him.
Through Status View, the information is processed at godlike speed.
Symbols, names, energy readings, and movement patterns flooded his consciousness, weaving together a perfect map of the land.
And then, there it was. Deep beneath a glacier, hidden under layered barriers and artificial mana fields, lay one of the Zero Organisation's Abomination Facilities.
Daniel's expression turned sharp, and cold fury simmered in his gaze.
"Found you."
In the blink of an eye, Void Step.
Space folded.
Reality cracked.
He appeared high above the facility, his shadow stretching across the frozen valley.
Below him, dark metallic structures pulsed faintly under the ice, massive cages, experimentation halls, tubes filled with screaming souls.
His anger burned cold, restrained only by purpose.
With a thought, Target Locked is activated.
Threads of void energy shot from his eyes, connecting to every imprisoned life form within the base.
Dozens... hundreds... thousands of them, all kidnapped, tortured, stripped of hope.
Daniel extended his hand toward the horizon.
"Return."
In a cascade of light, every enslaved soul vanished.
Teleported safely to the sanctuary he had established, the same place where Erina and the others once found refuge, at the entrance of Velaria Nexus.
But Daniel wasn't done. With a flick of his wrist, he invoked Life Rejuvenation (SS).
Golden essence flared around him, radiating warmth that defied the cold of this hellish tundra.
Across the dimensional distance, the rescued victims glowed faintly, their wounds closing, their frostbitten flesh restored, their broken bones reknit by divine grace.
"Sleep in peace," he murmured.
"Your nightmare ends here."
Then, his gaze turned downward, to the monsters who made it happen.
To the architects of torment.
His fury finally ignited.
The world darkened.
Reality warped.
A single command left his lips, dripping with divine malice.
"Void Erasure."
The sky tore open.
From the heavens descended a colossal meteor, a sphere of condensed void matter, silent and perfect.
It carried no sound, no heat, no warning, only absolute annihilation.
As it fell, the very blizzard halted, the winds died, and the stars flickered in fear.
Then, without so much as a tremor, it descended.
There were no screams.
No blood.
No explosion.
The facility, the land beneath it, every being within, vanished.
Erased from existence, as though they had never been born.
The snow that once rested on the ice drifted into the empty void where a mountain once stood.
A moment later, silence returned.
[: Congratulations, you have killed... :]
[: Congratulations, you have killed... :]
[: What an absolute kill, Daniel Valenhardt :]
[: You have killed over 10,000 lives with a single move, and you have obtained the Title: "Butcher of the Ten Thousand." :]
Several notifications flooded his vision, both from the System and the Will of the Universe itself. The cosmos acknowledged the massacre, not with judgment, but with awe.
Daniel hovered above the void left behind, wind tearing through his coat, his expression unreadable.
His voice came low, cold, and absolute.
"Ten thousand less monsters in this world… and still, it's not enough."
The hunt had only just begun.
