Unrivaled in another world

Chapter 122: The Hunt for Zero Organization Part 2

[: 3rd POV :]

But even then, Daniel chose to ignore the series of notifications flooding his vision, for that was not his main focus.

His purpose was far from over; one destroyed facility was but a single drop in an ocean of sins.

The Zero Organisation had spread like a plague across the continents, poisoning the world with their abominations.

And Daniel would be their cure — swift, merciless, and absolute.

Without wasting a moment, he stepped through the folds of space once more.

Reality cracked open as Void Step activated, and in an instant, the frozen wasteland vanished from sight.

He reappeared several hundred miles away, at the next target, another facility buried deep within the tundra of the northern continent.

This one, unlike Silent Cold, was hidden within a canyon filled with crystalline frost and whispering winds that sounded eerily like screams.

As Daniel descended from the sky, his eyes flickered with killing intent.

Just like before, he unleashed Eyes of Calamity, instantly mapping the entire underground structure and identifying every living presence within.

Hundreds of enslaved innocents and thousands of Zero members.

No hesitation.

No mercy.

"Return to safety," he commanded.

In a flash of blinding light, every enslaved soul vanished from their cages, teleported to the sanctuary of Velaria Nexus.

A gentle pulse of Life Rejuvenation (SS) followed, healing their scars and freeing them from the brink of death.

Then, Daniel turned his gaze toward the remaining filth. T

he Zero members, scientists, guards, and the vile overseers all froze as an incomprehensible presence washed over them.

Before a single one could scream, before fear could even register, Daniel raised his hand.

"Die."

He invoked Void Erasure once again.

A silent implosion tore through the canyon, erasing everything within a thousand miles.

The ground disintegrated, the ice turned to nothingness, and the sky dimmed as if mourning the fallen, but Daniel felt no satisfaction, only the quiet hum of vengeance burning in his chest.

Then, as he stood amidst the vanishing frost, he extended his left hand and whispered, [: Ring of Devourer, Essence Reclamation :]

The void responded.

Their HP, MP, and Soul Energy were devoured completely, absorbed into his being, strengthening him beyond mortal limits.

His muscles thrummed with power, his mana surged like an unending ocean, and his aura distorted the world around him.

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :

[: You have absorbed 13,456 Souls :]

[: HP, MP, and Soul permanently increased :]

[: All stats increased by 100,000,000 :]

[: What a devious method to increase your strength, congratulations, you have acquired the title of Devourer of the Lost :]

Daniel's eyes burned crimson beneath his hood as the notifications disappeared one by one.

His body radiated divine, destructive energy, yet his face remained emotionless.

He glanced toward the horizon, where snow met the void of sky.

"Another nest cleansed,"

And without hesitation, he vanished once more, leaving behind nothing but silence, frost, and the faint echo of vengeance carried by the wind.

The moment the last fragment of frost dissolved into nothingness, Daniel vanished, the space around him folded, collapsed, and then bled into darkness.

Void Step carried him through the seams of reality once more, pulling him toward the next coordinates recorded in the System's mission data.

His expression didn't waver, his purpose burned with chilling precision, every step forward was another blow against the Zero Organisation, another reckoning for the innocent blood they had spilt.

The next facility was located beneath the Ashen Spire, a volcanic region constantly cloaked in molten smoke and crimson storms.

The ground trembled under each eruption, but even nature's fury dimmed in comparison to the storm that Daniel brought with him.

Descending from the sky, Daniel raised his palm, [: Element of Destruction :] bloomed.

The very air fractured, the sky turned black, molten clouds splitting apart as if reality itself recoiled.

The energy that gathered in his hand was not flame, lightning, or darkness; it was pure, undiluted destruction, a force that rejected creation, a power that rejected existence itself.

He extended his hand, and a whisper escaped his lips,

"Erase."

The entire volcano convulsed, waves of red magma froze mid-eruption before collapsing inward, crushed by invisible gravity.

Within seconds, the entire mountain and everything beneath it, the Zero facility, the screaming overseers, and the twisted machines, disintegrated.

No ashes remained.

No echoes.

Only silence.

[: Element of Destruction has annihilated 10,203 targets :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: You have absorbed 10,203 Souls :]

[: All stats permanently increased by 50,000,000 :]

Daniel's expression didn't change; his violet eyes flickered with distant exhaustion, not physical, but spiritual.

His hatred was cold now, sharpened to a blade that no longer burned but cut through everything it touched.

Without hesitation, he vanished again.

The second facility lay within the Ironvale Gorge, a region filled with black metallic cliffs and acid mist.

Thousands of slaves were forced to mine forbidden minerals here, essence stones infused with living souls.

The screams of the tortured echoed faintly through the mist.

Daniel's voice echoed in their hearts as he arrived.

"You are free."

[: Eyes of Calamity: Death Effect :]

His pupils expanded into endless void rings, and everything within his gaze, the overseers, the guards, even the monstrous sentinels forged from metal and flesh, simply stopped.

Their bodies didn't burn.

They didn't explode.

They just ceased to exist, erased from all planes of reality.

[: Eyes of Calamity: Death Effect has executed 13,872 lives :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: You have absorbed 13,872 Souls :]

[: All stats increased by 100,000,000 :]

Daniel blinked once, and the bodies of the slaves vanished in motes of light, teleported to safety.

The mist cleared as the corrupted air evaporated from the overwhelming purity of his power.

The next target was in the Marrowed Depths, an underground labyrinth beneath the frozen seas, guarded by SSS monsters mutated by the Zero Organisation's experiments.

As Daniel appeared within the darkness, the monsters screeched, distorted creatures of scales and bone, their flesh infused with stolen mana and artificial souls.

Daniel drew a blade, one that appeared not from steel but from divine decree itself.

[: Sword of Final Rule :]

The blade shone with an authority that transcended law, shimmering with endless runes and symbols of judgment.

Daniel raised it silently, and the entire labyrinth trembled.

He swung once. The light of the blade didn't cut through space; it rewrote it.

Every abomination fell in unison, not from wounds, but from divine negation.

The Zero Organisation's facility crumbled next, its structure rewritten into nonexistence.

[: Sword of Final Rule has executed 8,112 enemies :]

[: Title Earned: Arbiter of Annihilation :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: You have absorbed 18,112 Souls :]

[: All stats increased by 150,000,000 :]

As the silence settled, Daniel whispered under his breath, "For every life you destroyed, I'll take a thousand more from you."

His voice was calm, but the fury beneath it quaked through the void.

The fourth facility awaited within the Blightwood Grove, a once-sacred forest corrupted into a nightmare of black roots and red sap.

The air reeked of blood and decay. Here, Zero scientists performed rituals that fused demons with humans, creating abominations to harvest as living energy sources.

Daniel's eyes narrowed as the images of children in cages flickered through his mind.

Erina's tear-streaked face resurfaced, her trembling voice calling his name.

His rage broke.

[: Decay of Nothingness :]

The world screamed.

Everything within miles began to rot, not in seconds, but in moments.

Trees, flesh, metal, mana, even sound, everything crumbled into black dust.

The corrupted forest turned into a wasteland of ash before collapsing inward into oblivion.

[: Decay of Nothingness has annihilated 21,003 entities :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: You have absorbed 21,003 Souls :]

[: All stats increased by 300,000,000 :]

[: Title Earned: Harbinger of Silence :]

Daniel stood in the wasteland, his black coat fluttering amidst the void wind.

His aura had reached the point where even reality seemed hesitant to touch him.

He no longer felt the cold, nor the weight of gravity, only the silent pull of duty that urged him forward.

One more location remained.

The fifth was the largest of them all, a sprawling fortress known as Haven's End, built upon the northern ice cliffs.

It was the command base for the Zero Organisation's northern division, a place so fortified that even Sovereigns would avoid approaching.

Daniel appeared in the skies above it, silent, spectral, divine.

Alarms blared immediately. Cannons charged.

SSS monsters roared from their pens.

Armoured guards raised their weapons toward the heavens, but what they saw froze them in despair.

High above, Daniel hovered with calm serenity, his aura spreading like the onset of an apocalypse.

The temperature dropped, the skies darkened, and the world itself seemed to stop breathing.

"Your time ends here," Daniel murmured.

He raised his hand, destruction and divinity intertwining within his palm.

[: Element of Destruction :] and [: Sword of Final Rule :] merged, creating a vortex of lawless annihilation.

He swung once, and a pillar of light descended from the heavens, striking the fortress.

There was no explosion.

No flame.

No echo.

The entire fortress was unmade, removed from existence as if it had never been built.

[: Congratulations, you have annihilated the Northern Command Base :]

[: 13,441 enemies eliminated :]

[: Ring of Devourer: Essence Reclamation Activated :]

[: You have absorbed 93,441 Souls :]

[: All stats increased by 1,000,000,000 :]

[: Title Earned: Void Reclaimer :]

As the final notification faded, Daniel descended slowly.

His boots touched the lifeless ground, and the wind carried nothing but silence.

His aura pulsed, calm, vast, yet suffocating.

The sky itself trembled around him.

With each soul absorbed, with every fallen abomination erased, his existence grew heavier, more absolute.

And yet, amidst that boundless power, his expression remained void of satisfaction.

His eyes glowed faintly, not with triumph, but with sorrow.

He whispered to himself, almost inaudibly,

"This is only the beginning… Zero Organisation, I'll hunt you to the ends of creation."

Then, without another word, Daniel vanished, a flicker of darkness in a trembling world, leaving behind only silence, ruin, and the faint echo of the apocalypse he carried within his soul.
