Infinite wealth In A New World

Chapter 270: Jinx's Deception And Discovery

"Mr. Senator. I'm just a villager who deals with winemaking... Can I—"

"—Sorry, the Senator requires absolute privacy now." A huge, muscular bodyguard cut the man off, stepping in front of him. The guard stood three feet taller than the villager, his arms crossed, his gaze cold and unwavering.

The frightened man swallowed, taking in the five Peak Heavenly Rank bodyguards surrounding the Senator. He quickly nodded. "Yes. Yes. Next time." He hurried away from the group.

"So annoying... If not for Voco's arrangement, I would have wiped out this entire wretched village," the Senator muttered, oblivious to the fact Voco was already dead. He walked toward his heavily armored transport ship, the five guards falling into formation behind him.

"Come on, let's leave this place. The air is foul."

"Leaving so soon? Why don't we play for a moment?"

The six men turned in unison to the voice, seeing a breathtakingly beautiful Elf walking toward them, delicately holding a glass of red wine. It was Jinx, utilizing the flawless Elven disguise she had adopted earlier.

"I am sorry, you must stop here," the muscular bodyguard said, planting himself firmly in her path.

"Hmm... Let her through," the old Senator commanded with a delighted smile, gesturing for the Elf to approach. The prospect of an unexpected conquest was too tempting.

The guard moved aside, allowing Jinx to walk past.

"Come with me on my ship, beauty," the Senator purred, his eyes full of lust.

"Mr. Senator, what are we going to do on your ship? I hope there won't be any audience," Jinx cooed, hooking her arm with the Senator's, playing the role of the eager, seductive prize.

"Hahaha! We are going to have fun, my dear. And don't worry, no one will bother us," he promised, completely distracted. The group entered the ship, and the heavy ramp closed behind them.

"So sweet. I can't wait."

The moment the door sealed, Jinx's expression hardened. She flicked her wrist; her lethal dagger materialized in her palm. With a swift, silent, and deadly move, she cut the throats of two of the guards before they could register the change.

"....?!?"

The sudden, brutal efficiency stunned the remaining three men and the Senator. In that crucial moment of shock, Jinx lunged toward the remaining three guards before they could draw their weapons or activate their Skills.

[Some Minutes Later.]

"You! You! You are a monster!!" The Senator screamed, tears of genuine terror rolling down his cheeks. He was on the couch, his clothes ripped, his body covered in bruises and deep cuts.

Jinx sat on the opposite couch, placing both her blood-splattered boots on the small center table.

"I will give you one option. Only one, and you have five minutes to decide. Tell me where your remaining slaves are kept, and you are free to." She spun her dagger casually on her palm.

"In my hideout!! At the west side of the city!! There is a restaurant under my name, 'The Gold Star Eatery'! Below the restaurant is where they're kept!" he quickly revealed, fear shredding his body.

"Oh? How many are there?"

"Only twenty!! Twenty special individuals!" he pleaded.

"Twenty... You are already old, but still after pleasure," Jinx noted, her disgust evident.

"Pleasure? No... I have prostitutes for that, willing individuals who sign contracts..."

"Then why the slaves?!" Jinx demanded, raising a sculpted eyebrow.

"I only pick special slaves... They possess unique spiritual properties. They're good for cultivation..."

"Good for cultivation? You're losing me, old man. How is that possible?" Jinx asked, genuine confusion replacing her anger.

"The Fearless Family showed us the way," the Senator quickly explained, his breath ragged. "By using the blood and core of very special people, we can drain their essence, extract their unique spiritual properties, and get exponentially stronger through absorbing it."

'Fearless Family? That is Matilda's family?! She is also doing this?' Jinx thought, a deep-seated coldness settling in her heart. This was far worse than common trafficking; this was a fundamental violation of life and power balance.

"Is the Star Nation Queen also doing this?" she pressed.

"I... I can't tell you that! I don't know!" The Senator stammered, sweat pouring down his face, crossing the one line he knew would mean absolute, immediate death.

Jinx stood up, carefully navigating the blood stains. "Okay then... I will get going." She walked out of the ship, never looking back.

The Senator, seeing his chance, scrambled to the window, watching Jinx stop some distance from the ship and raise a small remote device.

"....?!"

He turned back to the couch, seeing a small, circular explosive device stuck to the fabric.

"No!! No!!"

BOOOOOOOM!!!!

Jinx crushed the remote. The Senator's transport ship instantly exploded into a massive fireball, the debris raining down onto the coast. The Senator and his secrets were utterly destroyed.

"Fearless Family," Jinx muttered, watching the pieces of the destroyed ship fall. "Although you are gone, your remnant still remains. It seems we will have to wipe out everything, including the Queen, even if isn't involved in this."

RING!!

Jinx answered the comm link. "Yes, Star... Done with your side?"

__

[Mistress' Motel Room.]

"Yes. It seems there is someone powerful behind all this, Jinx," Star said, staring down at the still, lifeless body of the Mistress on the floor.

"It is the Fearless Family," Jinx's voice echoed through the Cosmic Brain link.

"The Fearless Family? But they're all dead... How can it be them?" Star asked in mild confusion.

"I also don't know... I am lost here. But I suspect Viper. He must know something—he might be the God Rank the Senator was afraid of, rather than Matilda." Jinx speculated:

"Even Voco is scared of him."

Star nodded at Jinx's word, walking toward the window, looking out at the bodies of all Mistress's men—all dead.

"We'll have to leave it all to Sunny," Star said, knowing only the King could deal with a God Rank like Viper and the systemic rot of the Fearless Family.

"Let's get going. We need to catch up to him." Star disconnected the call, turning her head back to the Mistress's body.

"It's a good thing you bought the whole motel." She opened the window, spreading her wings, and quietly flew away to rendezvous with the ship.
