Alith is leaning against the wall on the other side of the corridor when I step out from the bathroom, smiling with a flashlight on her belt, so I throw my clothes in the laundry basket, and guide Alith upstairs to show her the secret passage from Iselin's room. Alith's questioning face is pleasing as we walk towards the bodyguards' door, but into Iselin's room. I close the door behind us and open Iselin's wardrobe. Her expression change when I push the dresses out of the way and show how to use a master key in the narrow slot to unlock the back of the wardrobe, grab her flashlight and I step through the door that opens. I use the flashlight to show the security door and lock handle that must be operated to open the door onto my workshop attic, and the peephole. Her face tells me all I need to know about how much she loves this and get it. The passage is narrow, but Alith clearly and seductively press her body against me, and a kiss is just confirmation. And that kiss intensify as I feel her hands slip under my shirt. But even with the carpenters making noises from the attic, this is a stupid place to have sex, besides feeling wrong, so I separate us and let Alith try the doors herself. Although Alith doesn't love secret passages and storage spaces and such the way Iselin and I do, she likes it, and she understand why Iselin loves her secret passage.
When we're standing in the attic of the workshop, Alith finally gets how Iselin, who she thought was upstairs in the main building, can suddenly come walking from the wing, and they weren't inattentive when she or others thought I was alone in the workshop, and then notice Iselin sitting in there with me or coming out of the workshop.
Alith sighs, and say: "I should apologise to Raneigh because I have accused her of not being attentive enough."
"Well, you can pretend it was a joke at Raneigh's expense when she might find out sometime in the future. Or say that Raneigh should expect sejd and secrets in this mansion and service, and that Iselin is sneaky." Alith growing smile is answer enough. "Alith, when any of the bodyguards get too inquisitive, you can let them in on the secret, although you don't have to show it in use from Iselin's room. You can show this exit in my workshop's attic. As you can see, it is quite easy to see something is here, which is why I've attached this board with these old paper sketches to cover the seam."
We return to the main building and head for the dining room. As we pass the day room, we hear Bodil get surprised and say that she just directed Haera up to the second floor or attic because she thought we were there. Alith is quick to respond in a serious tone that Bodil needs to pay more attention, and it's hard to keep a straight face. Haera has heard us and is looking down from the balcony, so I just say I'll talk to her later. I need to talk more with Alith first, and we move on to the dining room, which turns out to be empty as hoped, and I lock the door behind us. I saw that Gisela and Frida are sitting in the library with books and talking, and Gunhild was on the exercise bike, so we need to be a little more careful noise-wise.
I signal Alith to be quiet, and show how the epic painting can be unlocked and swung aside. I close and Alith gets to try. The inner door with its silencing bags is pushed open and I enter, beckoning Alith to follow me and point and show her the locking mechanism and peepholes. Two makes it very crowded inside the secret passage, and slightly hard to close after us because the passage is not made for two people to stand there, so I switch on the small LED light, lift the hatch door and go down to the secret room while I let Alith take her time to inspect the mechanism using the flashlight and try using the peepholes.
Alith comes walking down, closes the hatch door and just shakes her head and smiles as she sits next to me on the bench. I've already lit the oil lamp hanging on the wall, and I'm entertain Alith as I tell her that there's been a problem with people in the library, and that Kari and I have had trouble leaving sometimes, and had to go up using the semi-secret basement, etc. So I made the epic painting door so there is an alternative, and improved the door to the secret basement room underneath the mezzanine, so that the secret door is easier to open, better soundproofed, and that the door also self-locks. There is no opening mechanism from the mezzanine side. Alith suggests that I should have put a signal wire to the guards' day room so that they could ask people to leave the library if necessary, and she or one of the other bodyguards could then go in and close the door so we could get out. We didn't think of that, and worth doing with a more discreet buzzer solution, and there should already be a wire that can be used. But an extra door is practical too, especially if we combine with a signalling solution in the future. Alith also likes my idea of a special key to unlock the painting and bookshelf.
While we've been talking, Alith have started walking around and looking at the wall that has the hidden door into the b-room. She is obviously trying to find its latch, and when after a while she hasn't succeeded, I show her and push in the wooden peg that operates the latch, and we go in and light the room up. As requested, the bodyguards don't come down here, and it's been two months since she herself was last here, and she's very curious about what Kari and I, and now Jane, are doing down here. It's a bit uncomfortable to explain, especially as Alith walks around and looks at what is in the cupboard and on the shelves. Alith is getting more and more ... curious, so after I convince myself that she really wants to experience it and we have gone through the distress signal and rules, we block the ventilation channels with the silencing plugs, and I let Alith experience a simpler session.
As I lie exhausted under Alith's sweaty body, Alith says she understands why Kari wanted this room specialised for this, but it's not really to her taste. It's so obvious that Alith really wants to try and control me instead, so maybe she'll get to do that at some point in the future, but not today. First Ciara and then Alith have exhausted my stamina and drained my sex drive for today. It doesn't help that Alith smiles oh so sexily, seductively press her breasts against my body and kiss me on the neck and chest while she slowly grinds her wet crotch against my leg. Her hand wander over my manhood which is slowly responding, but I remove her hand anyway. She can be very seductive and naughty when she's in the mood, and she do have a sexy body. The session was more intense than I intended, as she just droolingly nodded to continue, and it was a kind of fun to be able to utilise her nipple rings in a way she never thought of. We look through the photos and video clips we recorded, as Alith is really curious about how she looked.
We continue talking while we wash off, and clean the equipment and accessories.
We agree that Raneigh needs to be shown the secret room under the mezzanine and the secret vault and stuff, and Alith says she'll take care of that when they get back from Borgarsandr. Maybe even show the secret library and the doors down there, but not show this room with its contents. Alith won't show Iselin's secret path to the others, and she thinks I should install an alarm on the security door leading out to the attic, which is a good idea. I can make it so that Iselin can disarm the alarm on the inside before she goes out into the attic, and it will reactivate when she closes the door. The problem is using a separate signal as there are no more unused signal wires in that end of the building, but Alith suggests I just use the same one as Iselin's room as any intrusion will be to her room, not from her room, and they will then rush in there and meet any threat. False alarm might be problematic to trace, but is a good idea so we will do that, as well as that signal to the bodyguards so we can more easily return up from b-room or secret library. And the locks on the library shelf door and on the painting door.
Ryla and Agnes will move in today or tomorrow, but they will not be told about the secrets for now, but that might change in the future. They may also wish to live somewhere else.
When we come out of the dining room, Bodil is looking at us, giving Alith an obviously but resigned 'I know what you just did' look, and Alith responds by rolling her eyes. Oh yes, Bodil knows.
I find Haera embroidering on the sofa by the mezzanine, so I sit down next to her without disturbing her work. I'm so glad I designed a larger space here, where a sofa and a small table can fit. It has become a much appreciated natural focal point in the house, central with good views and lots of light but not in the way, and the view out over trees, meadows, sea and mountains is not bad. It was definitely a good idea to change the windows and glass so the view is less distorted. I'm also glad I got the furniture maker to make sofas, which are so much nicer and more practical than wooden benches with too straight backs, and generally without cushions against the back and sides, or even to sit on. The sofas are appreciated and seen as luxury, when the sofas were not really that expensive or advanced. Mostly more ergonomic design and lots of padding. Myrun said she had a sofa made after the Tosra Gathering, and Haera has said there are two in the castle since a few months back, where one is in the solarium, which is a castle room that serves a bit as the castle lord's family's living room-office.

We have casual small talk, but when Haera meaningfully puts a hand on her stomach and taps her stomach with her fingers, I realise that it's better if we talk more privately so I bring her up to the sofa group in my bedroom. I ask Haera to sit down while I check that the curtains to the bed area or the attic don't hide Caecilia, or anyone else. Haera finds it amusing that I just let Caecilia do as she pleases, and instead of forbidding her to come in here without permission, as I need to check that she's not waiting for me when I want a private moment. There's something to that, but apart from when Caecilia has learnt more than she should, it's mostly just been sexy and nice when she's waiting or ninja her way into my bed, and now I trust her to keep secrets, but Caecilia doesn't need to know everything.
Haera tells me she is undoubtedly pregnant. It's been five weeks since the stag night and she has started to notice her belly growing and her breasts feeling different along with several obvious signs of pregnancy, so she has to start being careful about how she dresses, sits, etc, so it won't be noticeable for another two or three weeks. It's a bit more dangerous from a timing point of view as Jalida is someone to compare with, but Jalida's body shape makes her belly more obvious, and Jalida wants the pregnancy to be visible unlike Haera. But within a week, it's time to tell others that she thinks she is pregnant, because she would have noticed. It's been two weeks since she came here and we had sex, so we will tell when the others return from Borgarsandr. She will officially visit Unn tomorrow, as she 'missed her bleeding and has seen other signs'.
Haera smiles as she looks down at her belly and gently caresses it. Over the weeks since Haera's arrived, it has become clear that Haera is genuinely excited about the benefits of her new life and being with child, although most people don't know about the baby yet. Haera is looking forward to having a small child again, but she surprises me when she comments that she is happier that I am the father than if she had had another child with Asbjörn. Or someone else. I don't really understand why, as we will never be a couple or a family, but Haera just rest one hand on her stomach, smiles and says that this child is a beloved gift from Freya and me.
Both of us hope that the child will be healthy and without deformities. The child will have a good upbringing, especially with a mother who is one of the richest women in the northern countries, and has no relatives who will interfere with Haera or the child's future. But the child will be a half-sibling to the future King Hagthorn, even though the child is of course outside the royal family as Asbjörn is not its father. But the child is also a half-sibling to hopefully my future lineage and children. Holy crap, how many half-siblings there might be, because the words of Liv, Unn and other sejd women pop up in my mind whenever I think of children.
I'm not really looking forward to being a dad, and never had that as a goal in life, but I am looking forward to hopefully being able to make those of my sambos who want to be mothers become so, and I want to be a good father to our children. Every child deserves a good family where they are loved and have a good upbringing, and I believe that it is the parents' responsibility to give the child this. I have to make sure our children don't become spoiled and obnoxious, and also hope that any future daughters won't inherit my bodyhair, because I don't want them to have to wax like Jane does, just to be accepted. On the other hand, future sons won't have a problem with female companionship if they inherit my hairiness and given that they are my sons, which I assume will mean great prestige. I have to make sure they don't take advantage of that, and that they treat women right.
But I don't like the idea of being father to children with sejd women outside the islands, because I won't be able to be a proper father. But that is also sort of good. The women obviously see the child to be theirs first and foremost; a gift to them from Freya via me, and they want to raise any children themselves without my interference or financial support, although most will probably want their children to study at the Academy, if my sambos and I allow it. I respect their attitude and I don't have to like it, but I dislike the fact that many see me as a divine sperm donor rather than a father to their children. However, it is incredibly important that I have sex with them voluntarily, but at the same time they expect me to be honoured to act as Freya's medium, so in reality I don't have much choice.
Regardless of what I told Alith, I find myself lying in bed with Haera naked and happy beside me, caressing her body and belly. I am going to be a father. There is no kissing, but I go down on her - one last time. I'm going to be a father, and this is a child I can at least partly be a father for. I hope the child will be healthy.
Radio is so damn nice. The others have apparently been shopping all over Borgarsandr. Bruinn is happy about the offer, and has accepted. He'll be heading to Ackerek Islands in a week or two.
There is quite a lot of learning going on, especially in radio handling and Norse exercises because we have a radio in each place and the women learning are distributed here, in Borgheim and Asta on the ship. So everyone gets to have their own conversation from the beginning, after they've waited a few minutes since the last one and especially with norse, both via headphones and lights-buzzer so they get to practice both. The last thing during a transmission is what frequency the next contact should be on, so they also get to practice changing for that and tuning in. I kind of enjoyed seeing how they've reacted, and I think Iselin feels the same. Everyone knows where the others are and they have a conversation over that distance and send messages. Saying it can be done, and we've done it before within the house, is not the same as being so far from the others and doing and experiencing that. Frida, Birna and Gisela were among the last to speak from here and after the fantastic experience they are once again so excited that it is obvious that they will not be able to focus on anything else for the rest of the evening, and the bodyguards are not much more focused. I can imagine how Raneigh feels.
It was inevitable that Haera and Skirlaug learn a lot and will be aware of more with ongoing training in radios, electricity and other things around them. It was inevitable that Haera in particular will see and hear things I would prefered her not to, and locking her in her room most of the time is not something I will do, so I just have to accept reality. But Haera and Skirlaug have sworn to never reveal anything about the electric light, radio and other important things without my permission, and I have no doubt that Haera's main loyalty now is to the child, me and the islands where she will spend the rest of her life, as long as it doesn't hurt Hagthorn, Sefa or Ulfarna.
It was especially funny when Haera realised we can actually talk to each other over that distance, and not just send a message in some sejdish way. Kari clearly enjoyed saying a few words to her over the radio and the look of shock on Haera's face was absolutely wonderful, and Kari will love to see that video. The shock when Haera realised that the voice actually reached her directly as opposed to a shout or sound that takes time to travel over distance, was also nice. Absolutely powerful sejd, so it's no wonder I won't be able to spread it much. But just being able to send and receive a message is incredibly powerful.
Haera needs something to do, and she has accepted a secret project, and that is to try to compile an Aesir belief bible. Haera took part in that discussion about a nation, and she and Asbjörn have talked a lot about it, so Haera understands the scope and how incredibly important it could be. So she's not surprised that I during the Northmen's Ting will officially declare my Furstdom is its own nation with its own flag and name, over which I just rule. As for the Aesir belief bible, Haera also understands why I prefer to subtly change the way certain stories are told or small details to make the stories more inspiring and connected to reality and 'future proof'. We now know that both Alfheimr and Midgård are real worlds, so we basically have to assume there are more. Haera has a long and interesting job ahead of her.
Haera will also help with the project to write down and compile everything we know and learn about this world. About countries, cultures, cities and important people or families. Asta and my merchant ships crew and Merchants knows a lot, but I need better and organised information. Right now, it will just be making a lot of notes and snippets of information, and making indexes with page references. Then compile and organise. Eventually make a small encyclopaedia or several about different countries, regions, religions and cultures. From what I've learnt, it seems slightly more technologically advanced in the south than here, but not much.
To be frank, it's a pretty good idea to make Skirlaug more loyal or grateful by giving her a better future too. She's educated and literate, and has practised maths a lot, so I could offer her a place at the Academy as a teacher or just Administrator. There will probably be a lot of prestige in it eventually, and her close connection to Haera will be broken. Maybe not the future Skirlaug wanted, but it's a good future, and better than she's currently projected to get.
When Caecilia joins me in bed, she gets annoyed that I'm not in the mood for sex, but I promise we'll have a sexy morning instead. We both know that she likes me to hold her while we listen to some music, and that she can sleep in my bed next to me or against me. My sex bunny is not hard to make happy. However, she gets happier when I caress her body, and eventually lick and savour her breasts and lips while our hands masturbate and give her orgasms.
