Infernal Apocalypse [ LitRPG , Non-Human Lead, Lots and lots of Fire ]

207. Video Chat (Book Three)

Ding!

Multiverse Integration is now complete.

All Planetary Communication will be handled through your personal system unless otherwise directed.

That was all it said before a series of dings could be heard as new notifications popped up in front of me, but before I could get to them I heard a knock at my door.

"Patriarch. Elder Zal is requesting an audience."

The knock was followed by Vrusha's voice.

"Please let her in."

No matter how many times I interact with this new Elder Zal, it still feels weird to have her treat me with such respect.

As I watched her enter the room, and offered me a small bow of her head, it only felt even weirder.

Whatever.

"It's been a while Elder Zal, the boys told me their training went well."

"This period of distance is vital for your development as the Patriarch of a Clan. It is now where you will shape and firm the foundation of what is sure to be a large and powerful Clan.

"I've ensured that both Lirian and Frian have the abilities, and knowledge ensure that my previous statement remains true Patriarch Raizen."

I was just trying to say hi, but Elder Zal is going to be Elder Zal I guess.

"Thank you Elder Zal. Were you just visiting?"

"No Patriarch Raizen. I believe you have just completed the Multiversal Integration correct?"

"Yep, perfect timing."

"Then it is time we discussed a few more things. Firstly, the System should have asked you to verify the location for receiving visitors. That is because the System can facilitate teleportation between Planets.

"It is not something that those without sufficient power and wealth can afford regularly. It is also not a function typically used for teleportation beyond the same Galaxy, though some may be willing to pay the price for such things.

"Keep in mind, that as the Lord of this Planet, you have the ability to reject all System sanctioned teleportation services, but that is not the case if someone where to physically travel here.

"Finally, it is regarding my presence here. You are now full fledged Patriarch with thousands of Infernals in your Clan. You have successfully passed down your Eternal Flames to another, officially creating a new Lineage of Flames.

"You have advanced within your cultivation, you have fought in your first war, and you have claimed this Planet as your own.

"There are many things left for you to learn, and many things left for you to experience, but it is not my place to walk that path for you.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

"I will spend exactly 10 more Earthly years here. To your current self that may seem like a significant amount of time, but as an Infernal Patriarch, reaching the realms of Immortality are well within your reach.

"How far you climb beyond that point is your prerogative but remember. There are no weak Patriarchs.

"To that end, the next 10 years will no longer be dedicated to helping you become a Patriarch and understanding your role in the Multiverse. It will be focused on training your ability to fight and improving your Cultivation.

"Though, this is not something that will be forced upon you. I will be here for 10 years. When you are ready, I will be here. That is all Patriarch Raizen."

After dropping that bomb of a declaration on me, Elder Zal delivered one final bow before departing.

I mean I knew she would leave eventually, but having a final date seemed to make it more final.

10 years of training and cultivation huh.

Fine. Get my spear, fight some ants, and then it is time for another seclusion period.

After Elder Zal left, I looked towards notifications waiting for my attention.

Ding!

The Ironcrest Consortium is requesting an audience!

Ding!

The Grainpath Merchant Group is requesting an audience!

Ding!

The Xaiyan Planet is requesting an audience!

There were at least 10 more notification just like the first three. With a majority of them being different companies I think, while a small few looked to be entire Planets.

So this is what the System meant by communication huh.

Interesting.

Well let's just jump right into it then.

I clicked on the first one, and then a message about connecting came up on the screen, and after a few seconds another window opened up.

Only this is quite literally a video chat.

Like real life video chat.

There was even someone sitting there…and he had the same metal skin that uh what was his name again…Yam something….oh yeah Yamaal, and there was also Idar and I believe Raeyon I think.

Oh look he's about to talk.

"Greetings, my name is Yen. I am a representative for the Ironcrest Consortium and I would like to discuss setting up a trade agreement with the Planet you Lord over."

"Oh I see. My name is Patriarch Raizen. How does this trade agreement work?"

The metal man looked at me and raised an eyebrow. Is he questioning why I don't know how this works?

"Did you say Patriarch? Not Planetary Lord? Are you perhaps the steward?"

"No. I am both Patriarch Raizen and the Planetary Lord of this Planet."

He then seemed to chuckle wryly.

"Let me give you some advice Patriarch…Raizen. When conducting business, it is best to introduce yourself with the most prominent title or affiliation you hold.

"For you, being the Patriarch of whatever family or clan you made on your planet would not hold the same weight as the actual Planetary Lord position."

Hm…the sarcastic way in which he said Patriarch, and the rest of his little speech is kind of pissing me off.

I know the metal people know who I am to an extent and there were plenty of factions on the planet who should have knowledge of who I am. But I guess it is arrogant and foolish to assume that every single group out there will know about little Patriarch Raizen.

I immediately caused black flames to dance wildly around my body before responding.

"I did use my most prominent title."

His eyes widened to an extent that I didn't think metal was capable of stretching, and like the very first metal person I met way back when, he started to sweat.

It's still odd to me that metal can sweat, but the world is a wide place.

"Please forgive me and excuse me for a moment!"

He practically spit out that line as if his life depended on it before disappearing from the behind the screen. All I could see now was a blank white wall.

Honestly I kind of wanted to hang up now but it only took a few seconds later for someone else to show up. This time it wasn't a metal man.

Instead it looked like an Elf of sorts, just not the ones I saw here. His skin was a greyish color and his long hair looked like metallic shards.

Yep. The world is a wide place.

The man then bowed as he offered his greeting.

"My name is Lashom, and I am the Branch Manager responsible for the Ironcrest branch located in this Universe. It was with my utmost sincerity that I apologize for the actions of a former member of the Ironcrest Consortium.

"We are prepare to offer whatever concessions you may require to peacefully resolve this issue."

Former member huh.

Let's not dwell on it too much.

"It's fine. Now this former member of yours mentioned a trade agreement. What is that?"
