Monster Chronicles: My Daoist Skill Comes from Mythology

Chapter 563: Wutian Demon Realm Great Thousand World_2

Once touched by these fragments, it may affect oneself.

These are all distorted concepts. After touching them, one might turn into a monster covered in heads, a ghost, or some kind of indescribable entity.

One piece of fragment is already like this, so countless fragments, each wielding different powers, would be beyond salvation, even for an immortal.

Some of the fragments also seem to contain fragmented and broken images, resembling events that occurred in some segment of time in some world.

Could this be the mystery of the Monster Chronicles traveling through the void?

"No."

It was clearly not like this. Song Lin scrutinized the fragments carefully.

These were merely records of the past and could not be entered. Even if it were possible to enter, it would only amount to an illusion realm. The Monster Chronicles, however, truly traverses into the past and influences the future.

Song Lin had been wandering through the void for countless years.

This place gave him an eerie feeling.

But he couldn't pinpoint what was strange about it. This space, besides having length, width, and height, seemed to possess an unknown dimension.

Could it be time?

Being here, one couldn't help but feel that the flow of time was abnormal.

With a thought, Song Lin brought out a crimson fruit.

Within less than half a second, the fruit turned to ashes. Another half second passed, and the fruit reverted to its unripe state.

In a matter of mere seconds, it transformed back and forth across various states.

"I see now."

In the small thousand world, time is a one-way linear trajectory, but here, it's completely disordered.

At times, it shows a weathered appearance after ten thousand years; other times, it reverts to an even earlier state. Time here behaves like a mischievous child, playful and unpredictable.

No wonder only heavenly immortals can transcend the small thousand world.

If it were anyone below the level of a heavenly immortal, just the nature of time in this place alone would ensure their demise with no burial ground.

The dharma body of a heavenly immortal is comparatively stable, capable of withstanding the pressure of time.

"Despite the chaos of these void currents, there are still many treasures to be found. If we could establish a Middle Thousand Heavenly Court here, even non-heavenly immortals could benefit."

The challenge lies in connecting the small thousand worlds and deciding on what foundation the Middle Thousand Heavenly Court should stand in the void.

The West Zhou World has a solution for this, and that is using breath soil, which should exist within Emperor Yi's Heavenly Court.

This time, Song Lin planned to exchange for some breath soil.

Suddenly, a large bubble emerged from the void currents.

"Is this a small thousand world?"

Unexpectedly, he had stumbled upon a wild world. He wondered if it had any heavenly court forces.

Song Lin wanted to enter but reconsidered.

If he went in and came out again, he might lose track of which world he was in.

After waiting an indeterminate amount of time, Song Lin suddenly felt a call from somewhere in the unknown depths.

This should be the formation of the heavenly court summoning him.

Following the direction of the call, Song Lin smoothly returned to the Palace of the Polestar.

On the upper level of the Donghua World, within the Kunlun Heavenly Realm, the heart of the Immortal Palace is the Palace of the Polestar.

At this moment, the Palace of the Polestar was considerably more crowded.

Two Bodhisattvas, Bodhi and Azure Dragon (both Harmonized), eight Mahayana Arhats, more than sixty Small Mahayana Arhats, various monks, and a million heavenly humans were present.

In the Palace of the Polestar, there was no concept of space being too small. It could accommodate as many beings as necessary.

The Azure Dragon Bodhisattva brought people from the Buddha Realm, who exchanged uncertain glances with the original members of the heavenly court.

Shi Yinhua, not knowing their identities, could only engage in awkward conversation.

This was their first time seeing so many foreign monks.

Had it not been for Guu Yuchan's timely intervention, a fight might have broken out.

"Hmph, your physical body is not bad," Chiyou snorted coldly, a dangerous glint in his eyes.

A unicorn leapt out from the void; it was none other than Xiezhi, the Demon Emperor of the Demon Clan.

"Evil qi…" Xiezhi's voice was low, filled with righteousness. Being the embodiment of justice, he found it hard to restrain himself when facing such blatant evil.

What he hadn't expected was the arrival of an even more sinister being.

High above the main seat, a pitch-black lotus bloomed. Song Lin, clad in a black robe, stood atop the lotus.

The overwhelming malevolence emanating from him even suppressed Xiezhi's righteous aura.

"Heavenly Emperor? Why permit such a demonic presence in this sacred land?" Xiezhi braced himself, his will to fight burning bright in his eyes.

He could not coexist with such evil. If the Heavenly Emperor's intent aligned with this, then he would rather forsake his role as Demon Emperor.

Upon hearing Xiezhi's words, the Azure Dragon Bodhisattva rolled his eyes, unwilling to argue with this stubborn beast.

Song Lin spoke:

"Light and darkness are two sides of the same coin. You are the light; he is the darkness. The virtuous have their haven, and the wicked have their place of return. This is the fairness of the Great Dao."

As he spoke, half of Song Lin transformed into radiance, while the other half became shadow.

Two profound Heavenly Immortal Daos manifested, unfathomable and mysterious.

The black lotus exuded an ominous energy, transforming into a black Bodhi Tree.

Before long, the Bodhi Tree had completely succumbed to the black lotus's influence.

Its roots stretched into the void, revealing to everyone a mysterious space enshrouded within the darkness.

This was a small world, filled with all forms of eerie evil qi. A single glance was enough to flood one's heart with countless negative emotions.

This realm endured perpetual darkness, with each region containing various perilous conditions.

Sword trees, fire ponds, toxic mists, boiling oil…

This place was utterly inhospitable. Any sentient being in this realm would be hard-pressed to survive even three seconds.

At this moment, everyone understood the meaning behind Song Lin's earlier words.

The wicked have their place of return.

Since evildoers relish committing evil, their final resting place should not be the Pure Land but one of ceaseless suffering, until the heavenly court crumbles and all things fade into oblivion.

To the Pure Land's assembly, there were no objections.

Indeed, this was where such beings belonged.

Soon, the devils entered one by one.

Beyond the devils, there remained monks who had returned to their true nature and stayed outside.

Among them was none other than Bodhi himself.

This individual, after enduring a fierce battle, had awakened to inner kindness, transforming from devil to Buddha.

"From now on, the Azure Dragon shall be known as the Black Dragon Bodhisattva, tasked with overseeing the Demon World. As for Bodhi..."

"Buddha, wait," Bodhi interrupted Song Lin's proclamation.

"This humble monk wishes to enter the Demon World and deliver salvation to the devils. Until the Demon World is empty, I will not achieve Buddhahood."

This was Bodhi's atonement.

The Black Lotus had awakened his inclination toward evil, but with the return of his virtuous side, he could not move on from the deeds of his past.

"Very well."

This provided the beings of the Demon World with a small chance for redemption.

Before long, Song Lin planted the Bodhi Tree in the back garden.

The Black Dragon Bodhisattva led the devils into the Demon World.

Song Lin gazed indifferently at their departure into torment.

Though he had once fought side by side with them, devils ultimately remained devils and were best kept separate from ordinary sentient beings.

Of course, he was no exception to this rule.

In the back garden, Song Lin opened his palm, revealing the floating Black Lotus, atop which stood a figure identical to himself.

This was Wutian.

From now on, Wutian's dharma image would also enter the Demon World to endure suffering.

As two sides of the same existence, Song Lin would also feel this pain—it was the price of perfecting the Black Lotus Golden Core.

"With two Tao Golden Pills in hand, it's time to bring an end to the small thousand world."

Even Emperor Yi had not reached such profound levels of cultivation.

After centuries of effort, Song Lin had finally gained the power to reshape the heavens and earth.

Once this battle concluded, and after surviving the Upper Pure Demon Tribulation, preparations for the Middle Thousand Heavenly Court could begin.

Less than two years remained until the Upper Pure Demon Tribulation commenced.

Seizing the moment, the plan was to achieve swift resolution and transcend the West Zhou World.

Having made up his mind, Song Lin entered the story world.
