The First Mythical Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 210: Nice to meet you!

"And now, it's your freaking turn!" She roared, appearing in the air directly above Max with a glowing orb of lightning surrounding her palms.

The dragon's eyes widened and then…

BAM!

BOOOM!

A huge shockwave blasted out as Ava crashed into the spot where Max had stood. The orb of lightning smashed into the ground with immense force, causing the floor to cave in almost instantly.

Chunks of rocks and broken flooring were kicked up into the air, Ava's hair floating wildly above her shoulders, the lightning crackling violently all around her as she crouched, her eyes darting across the room, trying to spot where Max had vanished to.

The reason was clear—the dragon had moved so blisteringly fast it looked like he had teleported, avoiding her attack by just a fraction of a second. Ava's strike had hit nothing but the ground, leaving the area she had targeted in ruin.

Currently, Max could be seen sitting casually on the bed where Ava had been moments ago. One leg crossed over the other, he leaned forward, grinning widely as if the entire attack had been nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

'How fast is he? He seems faster than the other guy,' Ava thought, rising to her full height. Her mouth was still dripping with blood, and half her face was smeared with it, but she ignored it.

'But damn! That reckless fool actually managed to scratch me with his claws earlier. Avoiding lethal strikes from him isn't easy. I wonder just how strong this one is, and whether this is going to be a close fight.'

"You're fast and all," Max began, stretching his body while yawning, his eyes gleaming sharply. "But honestly, you're just messing with the wrong person."

"I should be the one saying that to you!" Ava shot back, lifting her hand as lightning crackled around it with terrifying intensity.

"Honestly, I don't think I have ever hit a woman before… or have I?" Max mumbled, stroking his chin in deep thought. Then he shook his head. "No, I haven't. And now, you're forcing my hand."

"Then do your worst!" Ava thundered, hurling her hand forward as an orb of lightning shot forth at an astonishing speed. Max still sat on the bed, a smile so wide it looked like his lips were stretching to his ears, completely unfazed as the attack rapidly approached him.

"Okay then." Max muttered as the attack neared. In a blink, he tilted his head and twisted his entire body to the side, so fast it appeared as a blur to anyone watching.

The orb passed by him at immense speed, crashing into the bed frame with a deafening crack, shattering it into splinters. The fire behind the bed immediately erupted brighter, licking the walls and burning fiercely.

The curtains surrounding the bed caught fire and flared up while Max calmly stood in front, one hand tucked in his pocket, his eyes fixed on Ava.

"Someone as powerful as I am shouldn't be wasting time exchanging words with you, so here, let me speak the language you understand best!" Max thundered, his eyes glowing a fierce yellow as his untucked hand moved behind his back. In one fluid motion, he hurled it forward, sending a blazing ball of fire shooting forth from the flames behind him.

The fireball flew at incredible speed—not as fast as Ava's lightning, but still fast enough to scorch the room.

"Tch! Too slow." Ava scoffed, dodging to the side just in time. The flames crashed into the wooden flooring where she had stood, igniting it instantly.

"But I'm not done," a cold voice wafted into her ears. She looked up to see a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring down at her. "Now, kiss the wall."

Max swung the back of his palm with controlled force and precision. The hand struck her cheek with immense impact, sending her body flying sideways. Blood spurted from her mouth as her whole body was lifted and smashed violently into a wall, leaving a deep dent and cracking the structure beneath.

And this wasn't even denting it. Her whole body crashed through the wall, creating a gaping hole as she was about to fly out of the room and building. She glanced behind her, seeing the night sky, the moon shining bright, street lights flickering below, and people moving in and out of the building.

The wind hit her face, whipping her hair wildly as her eyes scanned rapidly across the cityscape until…

[Ruler's Hand Activated]

Her entire body began glowing a bright, intense blue. In the next second, she was yanked back inside so forcefully that her eyes nearly rolled back. In a blur, Max's grip locked around her neck as a sudden gust of wind erupted, rattling the debris around her.

"Can you see the difference between us? You're beneath me." Max coldly muttered, his fierce yellow eyes piercing into hers. Fear struck her for a moment. Her hands, once clamped tightly around Max, suddenly went limp as she stared helplessly into his gaze.

She felt like giving up, but then a memory slammed into her mind—a fifteen-year-old kid standing before her, while she was held back by a dozen people, pinned to the ground. In the next heartbeat, the boy's head was crushed to the floor, followed by his body. A scream tore from her throat as the memory replayed.

"No, I must take revenge! ARGHHHH!" Ava roared in pure agony, swinging her hands with all her might and smashing them into Max's.

The unexpected hostility startled him, causing him to momentarily lose his grip on her neck. Ava fell to her knees but she was far from done.

With a furious hurl of her hands, dozens upon dozens of lightning orbs streaked forward, screaming at full speed. The air sizzled with electricity as the orbs blazed toward Max.

Max only had time to take a single step back before the attacks collided with him in full force. The detonations were deafening, sending smoke curling thickly through the room, obscuring everything from view.

Drawing a sharp, hoarse breath, Ava staggered to her feet, rubbing her reddened neck and glaring into the smoke.

"He's not coming out. I knew it… there's no way he could survive that amount of attack…" she whispered, her voice trembling with disbelief.

"Pathetic." The cold voice suddenly echoed all around the room. Bursting from the smoke, Max appeared, his clothes untouched, hands tucked neatly into his pockets. He stepped forward slowly, deliberately, his eyes still glowing with power.

Ava's eyes widened, her heart skipping a dozen beats. She tried to retreat but tripped, her backside crashing to the floor with a loud thud, mouth agape.

"Wh… who are you really? What… What are you? There's no way a normal hybrid can survive that! Who the fuck are you?!" Ava screamed, her voice trembling with terror.

Max halted his steps, pausing as his hands slowly untucked from his pockets. He stared down at her, a small, cold smile crossing his face.

"I'm glad you asked," he muttered, holding his arms wide apart. His eyes flared a fierce crimson as he shifted…

[Draconic Form Activated]

Before Ava, a living nightmare unfolded. Two blood-red wings burst from Max's back with unstoppable force. Two pairs of short, curved horns emerged from his hair. His fangs jutted sharply from his mouth, and his hands transformed into razor-sharp claws.

[Flight.]

Max flapped his wings, the powerful motion dispelling the flames that had engulfed the floor. He hovered effortlessly in the air, his body lined with shimmering scales along his arms, torso, and face. Ava could only stare, her mouth dry, her heart hammering wildly in her chest.

"I'm Max Ashwell," he said, twirling his wrist. Instantly, the flames surrounding the bed rose, orbiting him like a miniature sun. "The First Mythical Dragon. Nice to meet you." He coldly whispered the last part, his voice carrying an edge of pure menace that froze Ava in place.
