The First Mythical Dragon: Harem System

Chapter 211: 360 Change!

"I'm Max Ashwell," Max replied as he twirled his wrist and immediately, the flames surrounding the bed in the room rose up and flew toward him, hovering behind him like a miniature sun. "The First Mythical Dragon. Nice to meet you." He coldly whispered the last part out.

"Im…Impossible." Ava croaked out, her lips quivering and trembling as she stared at Max. Even her hands shook uncontrollably in shock as the lightning crackling around her suddenly died down in an instant, leaving the room eerily silent except for the faint sizzle of residual electricity.

"You're a dragon and not a hybrid? Impossible!" She muttered aloud, her eyes wide as she watched Max's wings beat softly, the flames behind him pulsing in a steady, hypnotic rhythm while his crimson eyes stared down at her like twin infernos.

'No! It all makes sense now. The scales, the claws, the speed, the skills, the abilities, and now this? So does that mean that other one is a dragon too? Now I understand why he was so annoyed about the demon vessels being here. Everything fits. If he really is a dragon, then…' Ava thought, suddenly sinking to her knees.

Her tense shoulders slumped as she looked at Max, her heart pounding rapidly. She stayed there, frozen on her knees, her gaze fixed upward as if her entire body had been drained of strength.

Before she could say anything, footsteps echoed through the room, and in walked Jim. The corner of his mouth was stained with blood, yet he didn't seem to care, sauntering in with the confidence of someone who owned the place.

He glanced up and froze for a moment as he saw Max floating in the air with two pairs of blood-red wings beating rhythmically, flames rising behind him, and an aura of sheer dominance radiating from his body.

'Woah! Those wings are incredible. This is the first time I'm seeing his transformation, since I wasn't present when he transformed in front of the others and S-rank hunter, Drey. Wait! Does that mean the situation is now under control? Considering she's on her knees…' Jim thought, narrowing his eyes as he glanced at Ava.

'That settles it. He is also a dragon. Even a hybrid wouldn't recover so easily from my lightning barrage and the special effects it carries,' Ava thought, still staring at Max while then glancing warily at Jim.

"What have I done?" Ava whispered to herself as she looked up at Max, her eyes glistening with moisture. She trembled violently before lowering her face to the ground in a bowing position, sobbing silently as if she could vanish into the floor.

"Huh?" Max muttered, raising a brow as he stared down at her, confusion etched across his sharp features.

"I made a grave mistake. I attacked dragons. I have gone against the code of conduct. I deserve to be punished!" Ava pleaded, tears streaming down her face as she pressed her head deeper to the floor.

"It's obvious that she doesn't have the will to attack again. Why are you still hovering in the air?" Pix asked, shimmering into view beside Max. "Aura farming?"

"Aura farming? What does that even mean?" Max asked silently, letting out a soft sigh as he slowly descended, his wings retracting back into his body with a loud snap. He groaned softly, leaving his claws, scales, fangs, horns, tail, and other draconic features on display, just in case.

"What are you doing? Why are you bowing down to me? Don't you want to attack us again?" Max asked, furrowing his brows as he studied her intently.

"Attack the saviors of the world? Attack those who bestowed blessings on humanity? Who am I to do that? I was truly a fool to charge in without thinking," Ava replied, her head still kept low, her voice shaking slightly with shame.

"Wow! The bitch suddenly turned respectful. Who knew she had this side to her?" Jim clicked his tongue, crossing his arms as he watched the scene unfold.

'Like for real though, which dragon did I even inherit its powers from that it didn't think to give me its memories so I could actually understand what's going on in this world better,' Max thought, feeling like facepalming himself at that very moment.

"What are you talking about? Code of conduct? What's all this? And you mentioned that you were from a clan—what does that even mean? Why haven't I heard of that before?" Max questioned, the flood of questions bouncing in his mind like a storm.

"It's obvious you wouldn't know about this. After all, the clans were established a year or two after the great war, when most dragons and demons perished," Ava replied, which caused Max to raise an eyebrow.

"Huh?" He muttered, shaking his head slowly. "Kindly tell me all you know, and will you please stand upright? I don't really enjoy this kind of display; it makes me feel weird."

"As you command," Ava replied respectfully, slowly rising back up while still keeping her head bowed slightly.

'Woah! She just did a complete 360-degree change all of a sudden. I wonder what's wrong with her,' Max thought as he continued staring at her.

"You're the first human from this newer generation that I've seen with knowledge about dragons. Is that connected to your clan thingy?" Max asked.

"Yes," Ava nodded her head. "It's because the clans were created in respect to the dragons and their wishes. We had just one mission."

"Wait! Clans? As in there are more of you all with special powers?" Jim quickly cut in, raising a brow in disbelief.

"Yeah. Three clans, to be specific, each controlling a different elemental power. Our clan happens to control the lightning element," Ava replied with a slight nod, lifting her head to glare at Jim.

"You mentioned that all of you have one purpose and mission. What is it?" Max asked, noticing the young woman gulp audibly, her hands tightly clenched.

"That is another reason why I seek punishment. I not only broke one code of conduct, but two. I made a mistake because I was blinded by revenge," Ava admitted, as a single tear slipped down her cheek and fell to the ground.

"I'm sure you aren't heard of hearing," Jim interjected, clearly running low on patience. "He asked what your mission was, not about your code of conduct."

"Chill out, Jim. Why are you suddenly hyper today?" Max asked, raising a slight frown.

"I'm sorry, I got sidetracked," Ava chuckled softly, lifting her head to stare at the duo. "The clans' sole mission and purpose is to slay all demons."

"Huh?!" the duo muttered in unison, frowns instantly crossing their faces as shock settled in.
