North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 605: The Third Shooting Incident (Part 4)

Jimmy let go of the passerby, drew his gun, and ran through the fleeing crowd, pressing the headset's remote control switch. "Mark, Julia, there's a shooting incident here, hurry over, it's near the children's park."

Jimmy picked up the walkie-talkie, adjusted the channel, "This is Senior Agent Jimmy Yang, there's been a shooting near the children's park by the zoo, we're heading there now. You can come too. Switch to channel three now."

Jimmy didn't wait for the SRT to respond, he directly switched back to their channel and continued running towards the children's park.

Mark and Julia weren't far away; upon hearing the message from the walkie-talkie, they immediately turned and ran towards Jimmy's location.

While Jimmy was running, he spotted two people carrying long bags and sprinting, one of them was Will Scott. He immediately raised his gun, shouting while running: "Will Scott, FBI, stop."

Will turned his head towards Jimmy, while running he reached and drew a handgun, firing in Jimmy's direction and simultaneously taking cover behind a big tree. His companion, upon hearing the gunfire from Will, swiftly took evasive action, positioning the long bag in front, and retrieved guns from it.

Will and his companion took out rifles after taking cover; seeing their movements, Jimmy immediately found shelter. His position wasn't great, with limited spots to hide, and for rifles, the tree he was behind was somewhat thin.

Jimmy fired two suppressive shots towards Will's location and quickly dove towards a nearby wall, which should offer some protection from rifle bullets here.

Jimmy pressed the walkie-talkie: "Be advised, I've spotted Will and his companion, both armed with rifles, located on the road outside the children's park. We've engaged in a firefight. SRT, how long until you arrive?"

A man's voice came from the SRT's side: "Within five minutes, hang on."

Jimmy muttered a curse under his breath, five minutes, anything could happen; forget it, can't wait for them.

Jimmy switched the Glock to his left hand, drawing the 1875 revolver from the shoulder holster with his right.

Under usual circumstances, he wouldn't use the 1875 against humans—the .44 Magnum is quite destructive, if hitting someone, the scene could be rather grim. After all, he's an FBI agent, he needs to maintain a bit of personal image.

But the situation now is he's being aimed at by two rifles, he can't eliminate them quickly during their shooting pauses with the Glock alone, only Heart Eye paired with the revolver can achieve such seemingly impossible shots.

Since he last met with Bishop Anderson alongside Dave, he changed his loadout, temporarily leaving behind his Colt Python, and now in the shoulder holster are two 1875s. Although the end result might look unpleasant, there's no other choice.

Jimmy fired several shots with the Glock towards their position, all hitting the tree trunks. Hearing the gunfire, Will and his companion showed part of themselves from the side, aiming rifles to suppress Jimmy's position.

Jimmy used Heart Eye to focus on them, pinpointing their positions, he aimed at the right hands holding the guns and shoulders, emerging from behind the wall, "Bang bang bang bang," he swiftly fired four shots, and Will and his accomplice almost simultaneously fell silent, screaming loudly, with their rifles dropping to the ground.

"Don't move, FBI."

Jimmy rose to aim at them. As he was about to approach, Will picked up his handgun with his left hand and pointed at Jimmy, "Bang," Jimmy did not hesitate, firing a shot into his chest, the bullet's momentum spun his body, flinging his left hand out, and the gun dropped to the ground.

The other accomplice was also reaching for his handgun at the same time, though he was slightly slower than Will. After Jimmy shot Will, he aimed at Jimmy, he was just able to shout "No," when Jimmy sent the last Magnum bullet into his left chest, "Bang," the entire scene fell instantly silent.
