Jimmy confirmed the phone number he had investigated with Old Eagle. Old Eagle hesitated for a moment, then took out his own phone and found a phone number to give to Jimmy.
Old Eagle: "I've given you all the information I know, nothing else. I hope you understand, it's inconvenient for me to entertain you here, it would interfere with my business. In view of my cooperation, let's end it here, OK?"
Jimmy smiled and patted Old Eagle on the shoulder, "Thank you, thank you for your cooperation."
Jimmy is not the kind of person who's impervious to reason and persuasion, he himself still has connections with hotels, so people like Old Eagle are not on his must-kill list. Their existence is also created by this bad society, as long as it's not a vicious crime, the presence of a middleman benefits everyone.
Jimmy drove away from the Eagle Bar, parked on a more secluded roadside, and called Julia, "Julia, this is the number from Old Eagle Ruiz, you get the tech department to check it out, this should be Will's commonly used number, or the number he uses when handling affairs."
Julia: "OK, I'll go find the tech department."
Jimmy: "I'm waiting for news here in Brooklyn, notify me immediately once you're sure."
Julia: "Alright, by the way, Mark is back."
Jimmy was a bit speechless. He had arranged for Mark to take a rest, so why was he back at the office? Thinking it over, Jimmy had Julia handle her tasks and then called Mark, "Mark, how are you?"
Mark: "Hey, Yang, sorry, I couldn't stay at home, I want to join the case investigation as soon as possible."
Jimmy: "Are you sure you're okay?"
Mark: "Yes, the doctor has confirmed, I don't have a concussion, it doesn't affect me."
Jimmy: "OK, assist Julia in investigating information on Will Scott. Once you have his location confirmed, both of you come over. Also, ask Julia if she hasn't gone to the administration department, you go find Tim Dunn, I've arranged a company car for both of you."
Mark: "Thanks, Yang."
Jimmy hung up, still deciding to hand over this case to Mark and Julia. Previously, he had just made a mistake by sending Mark alone to the field investigation. This time, after confirming Will's address, having both Mark and Julia should be fine.
Jimmy drove to a café, bought a cup of coffee, and stood by the car drinking his coffee and smoking while waiting. Soon, Julia's call came through, "Yang, it's been located, among the two phone numbers you provided, one is in Queens Zoo, while the number from Old George is switched off, untraceable. Mark and I are heading to Queens now."
Jimmy: "Move out."
Jimmy got back in the car with his coffee and started heading towards Queens. Trouble, if they really take action there, there definitely won't be few victims, plus there's the Queens Art Museum and several other parks nearby, the crowd is always sizable.
Shortly after starting, he decided to call for backup, "Ruiz, I need a batch of support agents, and also an SRT team to head to Queens Zoo and Art Museum vicinity. Notify the Brooklyn-Queens Field Office, get idle personnel over here too, release Will Scott's photo to everyone, have them look for him near the zoo."
Ruiz: "Have you identified the shooter?"
Jimmy: "There's a good chance the second shooter we're looking for is him. The key is, his phone location is in parks and zoo areas, making me suspect he might pull something like the previous two major shooting incidents at the park."
Ruiz: "The reason isn't strong enough."
Jimmy: "Then arrange people nearby first, no action, our team will go in first to investigate. Once we're sure, we'll need them for support and crowd evacuation any time, I don't trust the NYPD to handle it, they could easily provoke Will into doing something radical."
Ruiz thought for a moment: "I'll give you an SRT team, they'll wait for orders near Flushing."
Jimmy: "OK."
Jimmy headed from Brooklyn Bass Beach to Queens, while Mark and Julia set off from Manhattan, the distances were about the same. When Jimmy arrived near the zoo, Mark and Julia had also arrived.
Mark had his hair shaved off, bandages wrapped around his head, "Hey, Yang."
Jimmy: "Put on your radio and headset, we'll go separate ways. Start investigating the zoo side first, also an SRT team is on their way, they'll wait for our orders near Flushing. If you notice any anomalies, immediately call for support.
Will Scott might not be alone. In previous cases, both operated together, so there might be others assisting him, make sure you two don't split up.
Wear your bullet-proof vest, don't alert the visitors. Switch to channel three."
Mark, Julia: "Got it." The two went back to the car to get their bullet-proof vests, took off their jackets to wear them inside, and only then locked the car and left.
Jimmy set off early to start searching. They had Will Scott's photo, but there was no information on potential accomplices, so now they not only had to find Will Scott, but also be on guard against being ambushed by others.
He hadn't gone far when he suddenly saw a crowd running in the distance. Jimmy ran a few steps over, grabbed a passerby and shouted loudly, "FBI, what happened?"
The passerby was about to shake off Jimmy and keep running, but upon hearing his words and seeing the FBI badge hanging on Jimmy's belt, finally stopped struggling, "There was a shooting up ahead, several gunshots were fired. A few people went down, I don't know anything else."
