North America Gunman Detective

Chapter 656: All Is Well

Jimmy confirmed Julia's safety, stood up, and yelled for Agent Lars to come aboard, there are two unconscious girls here, he was also worried about the others.

The cargo ship had already been helped to be controlled by the New York and New Jersey Port Authority people. Jimmy looked over through the hull, confirmed that several people were crouched under gunpoint on one side, so he could be sure there were no issues.

There weren't any other hidden people found here either, it seemed like there weren't many people, this ship should be a transfer ship; this broken ship couldn't handle ocean voyages, but those things could be handled later in the investigation, the focus now was ensuring Julia and the other girl were okay.

Jimmy had already checked the wooden crates, there were ventilation holes on the top and sides, ensuring they wouldn't suffocate, also judging by their condition, they were likely drugged into a coma, and needed to go to the hospital for a thorough check.

Jimmy took out his phone and called Ruiz, though it was already nighttime, he still answered immediately as the phone rang: "Ruiz, Julia has been found, and there's another girl with her, she should be Kelly."

Ruiz: "That's great, how is she? Is she injured?"

Jimmy: "I don't know, they're still unconscious, I'm notifying you first, now need to contact an ambulance."

Ruiz: "No need, just tell me your location, I'll notify a helicopter to go over."

Jimmy: "On a cargo ship at Little Nate Bay, with assistance from the New York and New Jersey Port Authority people, we've taken down this ship, captured several people, killed four."

Ruiz: "Find an open area, I'll have the helicopter take off to find you."

Jimmy: "Alright, we'll notify you of the location from the shore."

Jimmy hung up the phone, asked for help from the New York and New Jersey Port Authority people to lower the small platform from earlier, moved Julia and Kelly onto the yacht, then transferred them to the Port Authority's speedboat. Jimmy had them impound both the yacht and the cargo ship, then he and Lars took the speedboat to shore, while the remaining two agents assisted with guarding on the yacht and the freighter, waiting for follow-up support to arrive.

Ruiz called again, "Jimmy, did you say earlier that you've controlled a cargo ship?"

Jimmy: "Yes, after being kidnapped Julia and the others were sent on a yacht to the cargo ship. According to the statements from the people we caught before, they should have departed early tomorrow morning to be sent to Colombia. This ship should be a transfer ship, but it certainly won't involve just this one issue, it needs thorough investigation."

Ruiz: "This isn't within the jurisdiction of the New York and New Jersey Port Authority, handling these cases from here isn't very convenient, it may be necessary to notify the Coast Guard."

Jimmy: "Hold on, earlier I contacted someone from the Coast Guard to determine the yacht's location, and we tracked them from there, he was arranged by Dave. Do you want me to contact him or for you to do it from an official level?"

Ruiz: "You handle it then, that ship is likely involved with smuggling, I'll notify others to take over this part."

Jimmy: "That's fine, but we need to leave the yacht behind, arrange forensic examination inside and outside, I suspect they're not just human traffickers, occasionally doing other business, there might be other findings. Also, the receivers of Julia were called the Heisen brothers, I need to find them."

Ruiz: "Okay, we'll discuss this in detail later, the helicopter has been notified, they're doing pre-flight checks, estimated to arrive in over ten minutes."

Jimmy: "OK."

Lars, standing next to Jimmy, listened intently, and once Jimmy hung up, she asked, "Jimmy, do you want to keep digging?"

Jimmy nodded: "This is no simple matter, they have specialized bait, find targets, capture people, transport; the whole pipeline is too mature, there's definitely been many of these types of operations done in the past, this kind of cancer must be hit with a heavy fist."

Lars looked at Jimmy's expression, somewhat speechless, he was clearly venting anger at the people behind this, to be honest, in sweeping away cancer, New York has a lot of criminals, previous cases didn't see him pursue everything to the end, but it's understandable, given this time our own people were kidnapped. Jimmy, as Julia's superior, having such an incident, his anger is normal.

Once at the shore, Jimmy and the others waited for the helicopter to arrive, meanwhile notifying the Coast Guard's Landon Blake by phone, he was introduced by Dave, but this time he's really helped a lot, letting him arrange people to shine and earn some credit is rightly so.

The helicopter arrived onsite fifteen minutes later, its pre-flight checks wasted quite a bit of time, otherwise, these few kilometers in New York City could have been completed quickly.

Agent Lars accompanied them on the helicopter and left, currently manpower is tight, it's already inconvenient to transfer people from the bureau at night, plus Julia and the others are women, it's more convenient.

Jimmy wouldn't stay too long either, boarded the speedboat to return to the cargo ship, waiting for the Coast Guard and support agents to arrive, together they returned to the Coast Guard station. Jimmy and the agents with Lars took the New York and New Jersey Port Authority's speedboat back to the previous base, then drove to the hospital.

Jimmy brought two officers to the hospital, found Agent Lars outside the ward, "Agent Lars, how are Julia and the others?"

Lars: "The doctors still can't determine what kind of drug is affecting them, causing them to remain unconscious, but their physiological signs are relatively stable. The doctors suggest waiting for them to wake up naturally. They just collected a bit of blood for analysis; if they don't wake up eventually, it may be necessary to use the components in the blood to decide whether to use the corresponding drugs for neutralization."
