A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 584 - Magnetite Star Core

Chapter 584: Magnetite Star Core

Two months later.

Elland Garden Stigmata Sorcerer, White Glazed Tile Stigmata Sorceress, Thunder Razor Stigmata Sorcerer, Big Ben Stigmata Sorcerer and lastly, Grimm, were sitting in a circle of five elemental chairs.

“Hmph hmph, Demon-Hunter Sorcerer Grimm, thank your lucky stars that I was able to stop Grand Peak Starlight in the nick of time. Its advances have successfully been halted but this was only because we have taken your potential in the Sorcerers World’s Principal Will into serious consideration! If your justifications are deemed unsatisfactory, although you won’t face judgement by the Sorcerer Coalition back in the Sorcerers World, the tasks and responsibilities the Holy Tower of Seven Rings will put on your shoulders shall see no end.”

From the way he spoke, it seemed that Elland Garden Stigmata Sorcerer was still infuriated but was actively suppressing the emotions from boiling over.

This was enough face saved for Grimm.

Tender flower petals floated and wound around the Stigmata Sorcerer’s body. His snow-white skin was delicate and porcelain-like. Normal young human girls would kill to get skin as precious as his. Elland Garden’s gaze alone said a lot about his personality. Focused, assertive, serious but more than anything else, there was a sense of compassion radiating from deep within him. This was an experienced Stigmata Sorcerer.

“Muahhahaha, it seems that Sorcerer Grimm has already come to understand the history of this world before we could. I did have doubts upon perceiving the signals from the Evil Blood’s body, which hinted about this world’s past. I thought our expedition was conducted in the name of justice to help the native creatures of this world to fend against foreign invaders, but lo and behold, we were bamboozled by the group of liars that were the Magnetite people. Oh right, we should really start an investigation on where these Magnetite people came from, and why they crossed the Infinite Void into this world.”

Crack!

A pillar of lightning appeared and the speaking Stigmata Sorcerer was now holding a thunder scepter, just like how a thunderstorm would burst out of nowhere on a bright and sunny day. The Stigmata Sorcerer’s violent signal was the polar opposite of the stable lightning energy stored within Grimm’s body.

A red streak was painted across his high cheekbones, and his shoulder sockets sunk into his body like potholes on a road. Thunder Razor Stigmata Sorcerer brought with him a near-suffocating aura. After all, the Stigmata Sorcerer was raised in an environment where corpses piled into mountains and blood pooled into seas. Wrapped in the Despair Energy of the different races who had faced their impending doom, even now, Grimm could feel a deadly signal washing over him from the Stigmata Sorcerer.

Big Ben Stigmata Sorcerer remained silent. He took a sip of a liquid from an emerald-green glass. From the stains on the corner of his mouth, it seemed that the mysterious liquid was of a pale golden color.

Last but not least, there was White Glazed Tile Stigmata Sorceress. Among the four, this Stigmata Sorcerer was the only one who was female.

Like Elland Garden, this Stigmata Sorceress had pure-white skin that radiated light, just like a shimmering diamond. Her crimson eyes looked like a pair of whirlpools, sucking in anyone who dared to make direct eye contact with her.

This was a pair of eyes with unknown powers.

“Hmph! Sorcerer Grimm, while suppressing Grand Peak Starlight, his counter-attacks resulted in me sustaining quite a significant damage. If you don’t give me a valid reason now, I will give you the chance to feel the almighty wrath of a Stigmata Sorcerer before I send you off to receive punishment under the Holy Tower of Seven Rings’ laws!”

Despite having such a prestigious reputation, White Glazed Tile Stigmata Sorceress possessed quite the temper. Her unfriendly gaze was so vicious that it almost seemed to have shot through his body.

“Why are you being so grumpy! My Young Master has already promised a satisfactory answer. After all, it’s just the downfall of the Magnetite people. God knows how many races like them perish everyday in the Endless World!”

Little Myna rebutted, which earned him a disdainful glare by White Glazed Tile Stigmata Sorceress.

Grimm restrained Little Myna before sitting down on the elemental chair with a calm look on his face. Opening up the Dimensional Gap with his right hand, he retrieved a soft ball of white light from within that seemed to weigh almost tens of thousands of kilograms, contrary to its relatively small size.

“Dear Grandmasters, take a look at what I have here. Is this compensation satisfactory?”

In a matter of seconds, all four of the Stigmata Sorcerers rose from their seats, all with the same look of disbelief on their faces as they stared at the Awakening Ray in Grimm’s palms.

“This… this is the Domination Energy!? What a formidable signal it has!”

White Glazed Tile Stigmata Sorceress muttered to herself unconsciously as her eyes were locked onto the pure, comforting ball of light Grimm had produced. Silently, she confirmed that what she felt emanating from it was an ancient yet eternal signal.

Elland Garden Stigmata Sorcerer too, was much calmer than he was mere moments ago.

“It indeed is the Domination Energy, however, this was collected by an unconventional method from a Dominator’s random act. It’s not the type of Domination Energy that the Eternal Dominator would grow and condense over eons.”

Little Myna explained proudly as it perched on Grimm’s shoulder.

“This is the fruit of my young master’s shedding of blood, sweat and tears. Against all odds, he managed to retrieve it from the hands of an Eternal Dominator from the Spectral World. With mystical laws encapsulated within, I believe that you all too, have felt the anti-spectral signal coming from this beam of Awakening Ray. Caw caw caw caw, this amount of Domination Power should be a relatively fair trade for the downfall of a single Magnetite Star would it not? Considering that the Sorcerers World will soon be declaring its third civilization war and all.”

“Your aim has something to do with Grand Peak Starlight’s Star Core, something beyond our plan it seems?”

Big Ben Stigmata Sorcerer asked as he squinted his eyes.

The Magnetite World had in total eight separate Magnetite Star Cores. During the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers’ descent into the Magnetite World, they did not deploy all their forces to save the Dagutha Magnetite Star from its downfall and one reason for this was to grab hold of one more Magnetite Star Core form the Evil Blood Dreadlord.

Little Myna’s speech was not part of Grimm’s original plan. After all, he had been plenty satisfied having obtained the legacy of the Sevenfold Rainbows. However, the unexpected bonus regarding the Magnetite Star Core at this moment shook the already satiated Grimm.

To come to think of it, the situation was not entirely unforeseeable!

Even if these four Stigmata Sorcerers knew about the ancient Seven-Color Seal, the will of the Sevenfold Rainbows’ legacy was still unknown to them.

For foreign creatures to be able to reach the World Core, with the exception of the Evil Blood Dreadlord of ancient times, they would have to do so partly through the Magnetite Ray.

In the lengthy period as the seal gradually weakened, the Evil Blood Dreadlord remained the strongest guardian of this seal and no other foreign creatures dared to venture near it. From the Stigmata Sorcerers’ standpoint, Grimm’s order to attack the Grand Peak Magnetite Star had to have some kind of conspiracy behind it. After hearing what Little Myna had to say, what naturally came to the Stigmata Sorcerers’ minds was the most precious item to be found in this world, the Star Core of the Grand Peak Magnetite Star, the most powerful Magnetite Star amongst all other stars!

Once upon a time, the First Acraepoid King used a small world to trade in exchange for an Eternal Dominator’s condensed powers.

As for now, although this Awakening Ray was just something produced casually by an Eternal Dominator, the Magnetite Star on the other hand, was not exactly a “small world”. Not to mention that this world had eight Magnetite Stars, though it was the most essential portion out of the eight precious stars.

Seven hourglasses had passed.

With a loud creak, the door swung open and Grimm exited the gigantic doorway with a tranquil expression. And yet, underneath the facade, his heart was beating against his ribcage furiously like a war drum.

Great success!

However, it was not the highest valued Grand Peak Magnetite Star Core but instead a surviving piece of a random fallen star’s core spit out from the mouth of the Blood-Coral creature. Even so, its powers within were enough to make Grimm feel ecstatic.

The Magnetite Star Core had little to no value in the eyes of non-Magnetite creatures. However, this did not mean that the Star Core was not one of the most precious items one could stumble upon throughout the Endless World.

With this Magnetite Star Core, Grimm could store energy reserves within it continuously over a period of ten years before unleashing it in one single blast that could deal 15,000 offense points, and its energy reserves could be overlayed three times!

15,000 offense points!

Was this not the equivalent of a single attack using the Black Isotta Essence?

No wonder..

No wonder back then, with just a single blow from the Blood-Coral creature, Grimm was almost vaporized. Only through resorting to the Immortal Body that Grimm was able to escape with his life barely hanging onto a thread.

“Caw caw, Young Master, how about we go out to celebrate this victory?”

Having felt an immeasurable weight being lifted off his shoulders, Grimm flashed a smile at Little Myna and replied, “I guess it’s time to celebrate then.”
