Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 469: The Reason (Part 2)

"He left without saying a word," Galcan shrugged, "Honestly, his leaving doesn't affect me much. Even if he didn't leave, he wouldn't talk to me.

Well, at least he wouldn't fight with me over the TV, haha."

Jackson and Jenny weren't in the mood for his jokes.

Jenny's intuition told her something might be wrong, "Jackson, check the cabinet, I'll call the captain to report."

Half an hour later.

Luke led the team to Theodore Hospital.

Galcan saw the many people entering the ward, and instead of being angry, he looked a bit excited.

He pointed at Luke and said, "Hey, man, I know you.

I've seen your news, you were in charge of that supermarket shooting. You're impressive, catching that perverted white gunman. Can you sign an autograph for me?"

Luke "..."

Jenny whispered, "Captain, just ignore him."

Luke nodded, "Did Little William Moses escape by himself, or was he taken away?"

Jackson said, "His clothes and personal items are still in the cabinet, none of them were taken.

He left the ward on his own, and no one came to look for him.

As for what happened after he left the ward, we are currently unsure."

Jenny added, "We found the hospital administrator and applied to view the surveillance footage, but they haven't responded yet."

Luke said, "Go and communicate with them again, tell them Little William Moses is missing.

If he went missing in the hospital, they are also responsible, and if they refuse to provide the surveillance videos, we'll have to contact his family."

Jenny said, "I understand, I'll handle it appropriately."

"Very good." Luke carefully examined the ward; indeed Little William Moses left behind many personal items, but these things aren't valuable, so whether he really wanted to escape could be questionable.

It's difficult to determine whether he escaped by himself or was kidnapped.

Using the word 'kidnap' is because he and the female suspect Danielle Winters should be familiar with each other, and under unguarded circumstances, it's easy to be deceived by her and taken away.

"Ring..." Luke's phone rang, showing David's number on the screen.

Luke left the ward and went to a quieter stairwell, pressed the answer key, "Hello, it's me."

"Where are you?" David's voice came from the phone.

"In the hospital looking for Little William Moses."

"You're really hands-on, just send someone to bring him back, that guy's leg isn't injured."

"Little William Moses is missing."

David was surprised, "When did this happen?"

"Just this morning, we're still investigating the specifics. What's up?"

"We've tracked down the hideout of that gang selling new drugs, preparing to close the net. Do you want to join?"

This gang may very well be the murderers of the informant Harry Sabo, Luke needs to conduct the interrogation immediately.

He glanced towards the ward's direction, "Send the address over."

David reminded, "Remember to bring equipment."

"Got it." Luke answered, then returned to the ward and said to Raymond, "You'll be responsible for this area, I have something to handle."

"Go ahead, I've got this."

Luke said, "If you're short on people, contact the nearby patrol officers and have them inquire around the hospital to see if anyone has seen Little William Moses."

"Okay."

Afterward, Luke met up with Port and David.

...

Near Monka Community.

Luke and David drove to the agreed location to meet up.

After getting out of the car, Luke asked, "David, what's the situation?"

David said, "Based on information provided by an informant, there's a gang selling new drugs, we've questioned the arrested drug Lord Adel Owen, he didn't sell drugs to this gang.

So we suspect the source of this gang's drugs may be that batch of stolen drugs."

Luke asked, "How many of them are there, what's the firepower like?"

"Two to three people. The specific firepower situation is unclear, but it won't be weak." After finishing, David asked, "Can you confirm the ones who killed Harry are the same gang who stole the drugs?"

Harry Sabo was David's informant, and David had him investigating new drugs.

"Yes."

David nodded, "Capturing this gang gives some closure for Harry."

Luke asked, "Did Harry Sabo mention anything to you while trading drugs?"

"No."

"Then don't blame yourself, you just asked him to gather information, didn't ask him to do a two hundred thousand US dollar drug trade. I suspect this guy wanted to earn some extra money using his informant identity.

Otherwise, such a big move would definitely be notified to you in advance.

He couldn't have been unaware of the risks involved in the trade."

"Maybe." David tilted his head, "Let's get moving."

Luke asked, "Captain Jones didn't come?"

David laughed and didn't care, "Just a few small fries."

Luke also laughed, "Okay, you take charge."

David took out the house's layout, "My plan is simple, I'll lead the people for a frontal assault, and you'll block the back door. Any questions?"

Luke shrugged, "Fits your style."

David said, "Buddy, be careful."

"Worry about yourself."

The two bumped fists.

David scanned everyone, "Check the equipment, five minutes until action!"
