Hero or Villain, Both

Chapter 290: Strange plant (3)

"You want us to do what?" Morgan asked in a confused voice.

Though she didn't say anything, it was clear that Yena was feeling the same confusion that Morgan was feeling.

Though this really couldn't be blamed on them since the request that I had made was a bit strange.

I had asked them to attack me all of a sudden.

"It'll be fine, there's just something that I want to test."

Morgan and Yena narrowed their eyes to look at me as if they were trying to figure out if I was being serious or not, but I looked right into their eyes with a calm look on my face.

In the end, they really couldn't do anything other than follow my orders.

After all, I didn't seem to be backing down on this matter.

Morgan was the one that acted first in the end as he said, "Then don't blame me for what happens."

As soon as he said this, he suddenly came forward and burst into blood. The moment that he burst into blood, the beads of blood that his body had turned into spread out in different directions.

But in the end, they came together to take his form again and he appeared behind me. The moment that he appeared, there were several blood spears that appeared behind him that were all aimed at me.

Only he didn't get to send them out in the end.

"What is going on? Why can't I move my body?"

Though he tried to force his arm down to send the blood spears at me, it seemed like there was something that was stopping him. His arm was even shaking uncontrollably as he tried to attack.

But in the end, he just couldn't move at all.

I didn't show any mercy as I turned around and punched him to send him flying.

However, it wasn't as if he was actually injured because of this.

The control that a pureblood vampire had over blood was far greater than the control that a normal vampire had. That was why he was able to break his body down into blood to avoid the force of the strike that I made.

I didn't stop him from doing so since it wasn't as if I was planning on hurting him.

Though I did punch him like this to take a bit of revenge against him.

I had seen the look on his face when he suddenly decided to attack.

It wasn't as if the vampires didn't hold a grudge for what happened in the past, but it wasn't as if he could actually take revenge on me. After all, the vampires had already submitted to me and there wasn't anything that they could actually do.

Though to take this kind of petty revenge was something that he could still do.

I was naturally annoyed seeing his expression, which was why I chose to punish him a bit.

After Morgan reformed, he found that he could move again. But there was also a bit of stiffness that filled his body still as if there was something that was still affecting him.

He didn't make another move as he looked at me with a wary look. At the same time, it seemed like he was trying to find just what it was that was affecting him like this.

Yena seized this chance to come behind me.

Since Yena was a succubus, the way that she fought was different from how other demons fought.

The moment that she came behind me, there was this strange glow that came from her eyes.

She was already a beautiful succubus, but the moment that the glow came from her eyes, it seemed to make her even more beautiful. This was the seduction and illusion magic of the succubus race that she was using against me.

But it didn't have an effect on me.

Instead, it seemed like the glow soon disappeared from her eyes as she looked like she had fallen in a daze. After being silent for a few seconds, she suddenly started smiling before saying, "It's your first time being this forward, but we should do things properly."

Of course, I stopped when she was about to take off her clothes.

When Yena came back to her senses, she couldn't help revealing a strange look.

After all, this was something that she had never experienced before.

As a succubus, she naturally had resistance to illusions and such since it would be ironic if a succubus were to fall to the thing that they used to seduce others. But she hadn't been able to stop herself from falling into that illusion.

She looked at me with a very strange look as if she was asking what I had done just now, but I didn't say anything as I turned back to Morgan.

He had recovered and was attacking me once more.

However, the moment that he approached…he suddenly spat out blood.

It was strange seeing a vampire spit out blood like this, but it happened.

"What did you do?" Morgan just couldn't hide his shock this time as he said this, but I didn't give him an answer.

Just seeing the effects was already enough of a test for me.

This was the power of the demon ginseng that I had bribed with food to come back with me.

It had been hiding in my sleeve and had been releasing its pollen that caused different status effects whenever Morgan and Yena approached.

I had used the two of them because they were the leaders among their tribes that were considered among the top demon tribes. By making sure that the pollen worked on them, it meant that the pollen would work on the other top demon tribes.

That was why there was no need to continue this experiment.

Instead, I said to Morgan, "Get me a group of people that work with poison. I want them to create something for me."

Morgan looked at me with another strange look, but eventually he shook his head and was about to say something. Only before he could say anything, he suddenly spat out another mouthful of blood.

"Oh right, let me take care of that." I said as I remembered that I had poisoned him.

A bitter look appeared on Morgan's face when he heard this.
