"Are you sure that you don't need us?" Ashe asked in a concerned voice when I asked her to leave.

But this wasn't something that I could do in the presence of others, so they had to leave for me to do this.

In the end, Ashe led the other demons away, but I could hear them stopping once they reached a certain distance. It seemed like they were determined to stay here and keep watch over me.

I couldn't stop them even if I wanted to since I knew how devoted Ashe was to her job, so I just let them be.

Once I was alone, I took a few steps more and moved through the brush before finally stopping.

So there really wasn't much that could be used for normal farming in this place.

After walking around for a bit, it seemed like the demon ginseng finally found something that it was satisfied with. This was a plant that didn't seem like it was that powerful as it was just a single flower that was growing out of the ground, but this was the one that the demon ginseng chose.

After making its choice, the demon ginseng raised one of its hands and grew roots from it.

These were the giant roots that I had encountered previously, but the demon ginseng had drawn them in after coming with me. It had been reluctant to get rid of those large roots since it needed them for nutrients previously.

But after receiving those special feed items that were filled with nutrients from me, the demon ginseng wasn't afraid of losing its roots anymore. It even cut off the root that it had drawn out.

Once the root was cut off, the demon ginseng offered it to the flower that was in front of it.

The flower couldn't really take this since it was just a flower that hadn't developed intelligence, but it seemed like the natural instincts of the flower made it want to seize this piece of the demon ginseng's root.

That was why the flower leaned towards the demon ginseng's root when it was presented with it.

However, it wasn't able to take it.

The demon ginseng saw this and didn't hesitate to crush its own root before sprinkling the powder onto it.

The moment that the powder was sprinkled onto the flower, there was a change that occurred.

It was as if the flower was evolving with the way that it changed, but I knew that this wasn't the case. What was happening was that the flower was gaining intelligence because of the nutrients from the demon ginseng.

The demon ginseng in the end was a ginseng plant, which meant that it was filled with nutrients. Anyone that swallowed it would without a doubt gain a large amount of power from all of the nutrients that it provided.

This was one of the reasons why it was so sought after.

But if these nutrients were given to a plant, it would gain a different kind of power.

It would unlock the intelligence of that plant and would create a living plant that would be able to serve the demon ginseng. Since the demon ginseng was a demonic creature, it meant that this new living plant would be a demonic plant as well.

This was how the demon ginseng actually created servants for itself.

It was also one of the reasons that the ancestor of this demon ginseng was considered a terrifying demon king.

After sprinkling that root on the flower, the demon ginseng wandered off while it was still transforming to look at the other plants.

I didn't stop the demon ginseng as I just observed the transformation of the flower.

It really did seem like it was evolving into a new species with how it changed.

In the end, the demon ginseng found ten subordinates that it was satisfied with before coming back to my side.

To create these subordinates, the demon ginseng had to sacrifice a part of itself. That was why it had to choose the best plants that it could to turn into living plants.

Or else, the demon ginseng would have created far more subordinates.

Though in the future, the demon ginseng would surely be able to create an army once it became stronger. For now, all it could do was create these few subordinates to serve it.

But since they were subordinates that were created by the demon ginseng, there was no doubting the power that they possessed.
