Void Cultivation

Chapter 137- Whistling Fields (2) BONUS CHAPTER!!!

Despite this being the Dead of the night with hardly any source of light except the moonlight, Grey could clearly see the sand storm that was kicking up in the distance and was rapidly approaching him.

Everything within the sandstorm was hazy and Grey could hardly see what was inside despite using Dragon eyes, but the sound of eerie and sinister whistling was enough to make him grow wary and run in the opposite distance.

He noticed that the Sand storm came from the direction which be just came from, but how could that be possible. He just entered the whistling fields right now.

Not hoping for the sands that was as sharp as glass to meet him, he made a break for it at his fastest speed.

Grey's body soon became a blur as he disappeared into the distance. The distance to the city was over twenty thousand kilometers and he doubted he could make it there before the sand storm reaches him, so his only hope was to pray to make it to a cave or hiding place before that happens.

But when Grey looked around, all he saw was endless sharp sand. There was nothing that looked like a hiding place. Neither was there any solid rock formations or caves.

This continued for hours. As Grey ran into the night, he noticed that the clouds kept shifting, as if trying to avoid the approaching sandstorm as well.

He also noticed that the sky did not get brighter even though it was closely approaching dawn. The looming sand storm completely covered the sky and made everywhere look dark.

If not for the fact that Grey could see at night, he doubted he would even be able to see his two feets at this moment.

'What kind of coincidence is this? How can I encounter the sandstorms just when I enter the Whistling Fields!' Grey lamented Inwardly, but there was nothing he could do. He could only hope to eventually find a hiding place before the sandstorms came and drowned him in sharp sand.

And like this, Grey continued to run for two more days before he saw a weird rock depression far in the distance, over three hundred kilometers away.

Seeing this as hope, Grey renewed his determination and ran with even more fervor. The sand storm was already at his heels and he could feel some pain in his body as if his skin was being pierced by very sharp pieces of glass which was being rubbed against his skin.

Grey ran and ran until he covered the three hundred kilometers in over four hours. By then, he was already starting to feel out of breath. His back and sides were already dyed red with his blood.

The sand storm was literally behind him right now. But just as he was about to be swallowed by the taunting and looming sandstorm that whistled a eerie and sinister tune, he entered the rock formation that turned out to be a cave.

As soon as he entered, Grey did hesitate to punch out with his fists to the large Boulder that blocked him from going deeper inside.

But just as his fist was about to connect with the boulder, he heard a cold snort which made him turn dizzy.

'Hmmph!'

The snort was loud and seemed to reverberate in only his ears. The snort also stopped him from breaking the boulder and entering inside.

It was at this moment, that Grey realized that there were also people inside. But because he had turned dizzy thanks to the cold snort, he had failed to break open the boulder and enter inside.

Just as the sandstorm was about to overwhelm him, Grey's eyes suddenly turned clear and full of decisiveness. He punched out with his fist again and managed on pushing the boulder to the side.

The person who snorted coldly was probably shocked, because it took him several moments do react, by that time, Grey had already pushed the boulder completely to the side.

But a strong force suddenly opposed him and started pushing the boulder back to close the gap.

But Grey was faster and slipped in before the boulder could be slammed back in place. Immediately after, there was a loud booming sound along with eerie whistling that filled the cave.

As Grey shook his clothes, he casually took a glance at everyone that was in the cave with him. Grey quickly calculated that the cave was over ten meters in length, and housed six cultivators excluding Grey.

Two of them were Qi Accumulation cultivators, Three were Foundation Establishment and the last person was an old man whose appearance Grey couldn't see.

His cultivation base was absurd as it surpassed the Foundation Establishment realm and seemed higher than the Spirit Core Formation realm.

'Nascent Soul Realm!?' Grey said inwardly. From the body structure of the Nascent Soul Transformation cultivator, Grey could tell he was probably a middle-aged man or an old man.

He was sitting down cross-legged with his eyes closed tightly. He did not even seem to be disturbed by Grey's sudden appearance and continued to cultivate in silence.

Everyone in the cave could feel the looming threat of a Nascent Soul Transformation expert in their midst. Although he tried to hide it, anyone in the lower stages would obviously be able to tell.

After patting his clothes, Grey did not say anything. He kept to the silence and also sat down to cultivate. But before he could close his eyes, he saw one of the Foundation Establishment cultivators look at him with disdain before silently snorting.

From his dignified bearing and demeanor, Grey could tell that be was the one who had tried to stop his entry earlier. Grey guessed that he was probably afraid of what would happen if the boulder blocking the cave was suddenly opened. So he hastened to block it. But seeing as the Nascent Soul Transformation cultivator did not make a fuss about the new arrival, he decided to calm down and leave Grey, who was only in the Qi Accumulation realm, alone for now.

Seeing the Nascent Soul Transformation cultivator's filled with disdain, Grey, who was currently in the disguise of a middle-aged man, could guess his train of thoughts and decided to be quiet. After all, he was only a Qi Accumulation cultivator. He could not directly fight against a Foundation Establishment cultivator and expect to win.

But as he closed his eyes to enter deep meditation and cultivate, he left his perception covering five meters and sprinkled some Poison also within the raduis of five meters. He then closed his eyes and entered a semi-conscious state.
