Chapter 152- A Scion (2)

Immediately the man said those words, Grey felt as if his mind suddenly became heavier, then it became lighter. This sudden changes were quite shocking for him, but before he could understand what was happening, he felt as if his mind was being pulled somewhere far away, yet very close.

When he opened his eyes, Grey saw himself facing the sky. The clouds were soft and slowly floating through the sky.

The breeze was chilly, but it didn't make him to feel cold. As Grey took some moments to gaze at the sky, he noticed something weird. There was no giant, looming hand in the sky with the oppressive aura. Neither did he feel any corrosive substance in the atmosphere.

In fact, Grey couldn't feel any energy at all. More than that, his mind actually felt hazy and muddled, as if his brain was reacting very slowly to the things around him. In fact, he also noticed that he couldn't control his body. It was as if he was just a spectator in his own body.

'That's... Not right! Did I transmigrate again? No, that's not possible, I did not die... But how the hell am I staring at the sky, and why can't I move my body?' Grey was still saying inwardly when his body rose up from the ground without his control.

Grey started panicking until he noticed that it wasn't a body he recognized. He noticed that this body was thin, wore some familiar, yet strange looking clothes, and was not as pale as he was.

Also, from the height in which he was looking at the ground, he deduced that this body was shorter than his normal body.

In shock, Grey watched as his body moved without any commands from him. No matter how he tried to control it, it was like he was in no control of his body, as if it was on autopilot.

But just as Grey was beginning to think of to do, he heard a sound come from the mouth of the body.

"*Sigh* Let's see if I can catch anything for the family before I get home." From the voice, Grey could tell that this body was a rather young one. But the tone in which he spoke, Grey was not sure if he was naturally gloomy, or had a bad day.

'What is happening?' Grey said inwardly, but no mater what he did, nothing came out of his efforts.

Soon, the body his mind was inhabiting began to move. Despite it's thin appearance and short height, this body was very agile. Almost as agile as Grey was when he first transmigrated. And that was shocking because this body did not emit any spirit energy fluctuations at all.

Yet, it moved as if it was gliding on air, and cutting through the wind like hot knife cutting through butter.

Grey watched in slight shock and silence as the young body zipped through the trees like a monkey.

It easily grabbed unto the arm thick vine and swung through the forest like it was born here. Grey watched as it continued its fluid movement for a while before he started to hear a slight panting sound.

After two minutes of gliding, the young body suddenly stopped as it grabbed unto a thick branch.

Because he was sharing the same eyes with the body, Grey could see what he had been looking at. It was a small rodent, a hare.

This hare was wary and also peeking it's head out of its burrow while eating some leaves. After some time, it's ears would suddenly perk up and it would hurriedly run back in the burrow.

Grey and the young body watched in silence. From the heavy pantings that Grey could hear, he could tell that the owner of this body was very hungry and was imagining a scrunchous meal of the rabbit.

But instead of charging to hunt it, it stayed silent on the tree branch. Their gaze never left for one second. Seeing this, Grey couldn't help but nod subconsciously. 'He is a patient hunter.'

As the rabbit ducked it head to eat the leaves again, the body suddenly moved. Grey was not surprised, because he could tell from the tense muscles and subtle movements that the body will soon attack.

The moment the body leapt from the tree branch, the hare ears instantly perked up. Without hesitation, it quickly dashed towards the burrow at lightning quick speed.

But Grey saw with his own eyes that the young body was fast and the distance from the tree branch to the ground was not very far.

So in less than an instant, the young body had already touched down on the floor and dashed towards the escaping rabbit with his superior speed.

All the while, the young body had not made a single sound. But the sound of feet quickly crunching the undergrowth was enough to tell Grey that this young man was very decisive.

In an instant, the rabbit had already reached the burrow and was about to slip in when a thin hand rapidly reached out and grabbed it by the ears.

What followed next was a muffled bang as a stone was suddenly slapped unto the side of the rabbit's head. The rabbit was soon dead.

Grey felt the body panting slightly as he held his kill in his hand. After gazing at it for some time, he nodded his head in gratitude and soon left.

All the while, Grey was still confused as to what was happening. But he did not make a single noise and continued to watch the slightly hazy scene through the blurry eyes of the body.

Several hours later, Grey saw through the eyes of the body that they had reached a settlement. But this settlement was not familiar in Grey's eyes. In fact, it looked completely shocking and almost primitive.

And when he saw the clothing of the natives, his curiosity about the strange yet familiar clothes in which the thin body was wearing was satisfied.
