Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System

Chapter 70: Ravana village.

Seated on a small stone chair in the training ground, Jared watched as one of the soldiers pushed a trolley toward him.

Since Kiara was really adamant about wanting to be the one in charge of the military group, Jared ended up giving her the position.

Of course, he knew he would have to create a hierarchy later on. Having just one person ruling could be tasking.

That was something he could handle later.

He had already asked one of the soldiers to gather up all the weapons they owned and present them to him.

Strong or not, a warrior's tools were just as important as their combat capabilities.

"Everything is inside this small wagon?" Jared questioned.

The wagon before him was so small that he doubted he could fit inside.

"Upsie daisy," he said as he stood up.

Walking closer to the wagon, Jared peered inside.

Not even a single hint of excitement or acknowledgment played on his face.

"Is this all?" Jared decided to ask before jumping to conclusions.

Kiara was standing beside him, and even she could see his disappointment slipping out.

She looked away, acting as if the matter didn't concern her.

The soldier to whom the question was aimed answered without a second thought.

"Yes, Dragon Lord, some of our weapons broke during training; these are the ones still functional."

Jared didn't say a word.

He reached into the wagon and pulled out one of the weapons.

It was a short battle axe, with only one side of the axe's blade present; the second half was no different.

Taking a deep breath, Jared took another look inside the wagon, in hopes of finding something good.

He was wrong.

[The god of information shakes his head in disgust.]

Without any warning, Jared pointed his finger at the box.

Fire.

He lit the entire wagon of weapons in flames.

Everyone was shocked, but no one dared question him.

"Throw them away, and any other weapon you might have been using beforehand."

Jared walked away right after.

All four of them remained there, watching each other in confusion.

Later that afternoon, Jared was in his room with Rai lying on his lap while painting.

Hovering in front of him was his system template.

[Silver Blade (1300 SP): This is a versatile weapon used by knights and many skilled swordsmen.]

[Golden Bow (50,490 SP): A bow crafted by a skilled dwarf, it has enhanced magic that increases accuracy by 99%.] etc.

Looking at the list of weapons, Jared knew he could afford to buy quite a large number of them.

[Current SP: 340,000 SP.]

The only reason he had so much SP to begin with was because the god of dragons donates in large amounts, unlike the rest.

So even if he were to spend all his SP in one sitting, he would still get a huge amount before nightfall.

But would that really be worth it?

People tend to misprize things if they are easily obtained.

If everyone could mine gold bars in their backyards, it wouldn't hold the same value as it did for years.

The same applied to his current situation.

Sure, he could hand out whatever weapon he buys to a soldier, and since they have deep respect for him, they would probably keep it close.

But that was about it.

The value wouldn't be based on their effort or hard work; it would just be a gift from their Dragon Lord, a present everybody got. With time, it would begin to lose its value.

That said, if he only gave the people who earned it, like he did with the character upgrade hack, no doubt everyone would try to work as hard as possible just to get a special weapon.

A leer formed on Jared's face as an idea popped up in his head.

He now turned his attention to his sister.

"Ria, of everyone in the village, you have the most knowledge of the outside villages, correct?"

Ria paused, her focus now on him.

"I guess. I only know that because I walked a lot back when the curse was still active on me," she spoke.

"How far did you walk?"

"Not too far. Just explored a few villages here and there. Why so many questions? Are you planning to go somewhere?"

"Seems like it," Jared continued. "Did you by any chance notice any village with an unusual amount of weapons?"

Ria raised a brow, as if about to interrogate Jared, but then she suddenly remembered something.

"Ravana village. I heard from someone that they make some of the best weapons in the northern region. Well, it's what I heard, so don't take it at face value."

Too late; Jared was already considering it.

If he could somehow strike a business deal with Ravana village, not only would he make a good relationship with them, he could also use them as a means to improve Sikone's influence.

There was one small problem… Jared had no idea what Ravana looked like or where it was located.

Then again, he knew someone who might.

[You are currently using the Will of a Dragon.]

[Dragon Telepathy has been activated.]

[You can communicate with any dragon through mind transmission.]

"Paimon, do you read me?"

{Master?! W-w… I swear I didn't mean to sniff your underwear! My body just moved by itself!}

Jared wore a blank expression.

It was obvious he caught Paimon doing something, but he wasn't sure he wanted to know what.

"You came to Sikone from the west, right?"

{Yes, Master.}

"Did you run into a village called Ravana?"

{Ravana? Yeah, I do remember walking into somewhere like that when I was searching for my soldiers. It kinda looks like a small kingdom, Master, but their security was way too tight, so I couldn't walk around freely to explore.}

"Do you remember the place?"

{Of course, we dragons have excellent memories.}

"Good, get ready tomorrow; we are heading to Ravana."

{Eh? Wait, we—}

[The skill Dragon Telepathy has been deactivated.]

"Browerrr?!"

By the time Jared came to, Rai was sitting on his lap, her arm around his neck while she carefully nibbled on his cheeks.

"What are you doing?" Jared asked out loud.

Pulling away, Ria replied, "I have been calling out your name, but you didn't reply."

She immediately went back to sucking his cheeks.

"…That doesn't exactly answer my question."

Ria only mumbled; she didn't seem to care about what Jared was asking.

So, in good faith, Jared collapsed to the ground and gave up, allowing her to do as she pleased.

The next day…

Jared, Lucy, and Paimon were ready to head out.

Luckily for Jared, Olsen had already gifted him three horses and a carriage as a way of appreciation for their partnership.

It wasn't the best carriage in the world; the body had begun to peel, and the tires were a tad bit unstable.

Although Jared didn't expect to use it so soon, he would have done some remodeling.

With everyone in the carriage, Lucy drove at the front with Jared, and they headed out.

Thinking about it, Jared was probably the only person to have explored outside the village, other than his sister.

The only difference was, he headed south, which was leading toward the outer world, as they would call it—the kingdom's capital.

"Lord Jared, is that it?" Lucy pointed at a small village at the side.

"No," Jared kept riding.

A few moments later, the instant she spotted another village…

"Lord Jared, is that it?" she once again pointed.

Jared could only sigh as he replied, "No."

…And that kept going on for a while; every village they passed, Lucy would ask the same question.

Jared fully understood why she was like that.

Excitement.

Lucy, who had never been anywhere outside the village, was suddenly exploring with her village's chief.

All the joy and enthusiasm were clouding her thoughts. She didn't know how to process them and thus was trying to cover it up by helping Jared, which only led to her asking useless questions.

Quite frankly, Jared didn't find anything about the outside impressive.

It was like a mix of forestry and rocky terrains.

Grasses and trees took over almost everywhere; the only water source Jared saw was so small, it could very well just be a pond.

Rocks, rocks, more rocks, then grasses.

That was all there was in the northern region.

Jared never knew how sad the northern region was, not until that very moment.

He was so disgusted that he felt like covering the whole ground with cement. There were barely any roads; Jared had to ride his carriage underneath broken bridges in order to take a new path.

It was nothing but a sad joke.

After hours of journey, and the sun was starting to set, Paimon suddenly alerted Jared, "Master, we have arrived at Ravana." She hovered beside him.

Stopping the carriage, Jared looked at the village before him, if he could even call it that.

The walls surrounding the place were massive, not to mention the giant gate that multiple people were trying to get into.

"So this is Ravana…"

Jared looked almost lifeless.

"… It's beautiful."
