Reincarnated as the Elder's son: My Infinite Shop Points System

Chapter 69: Military strength.

Jared made his way to the training ground.

The training ground wasn't too far from where the village square was.

Sikone was huge, with a lot of untouched ground and locations.

One of which was a deep crater, right at the outskirts.

This crater could fit over 600 men and still leave enough room for a couple of buildings. Before Jared got reincarnated, this place was only used as a sightseeing spot.

Richard Hunter would gather everyone in the village for sightseeing, telling them the story of how the crater came to be.

Apparently, a huge fight happened between two powerful witches in the past. During their battle, the crater was made, but not from the destruction; it was said one of the witches rested there.

Not that Jared believed that to begin with.

Standing at the top of the hole, he looked below him, and there she was, Kiara Dawson.

If Kiara was truly trying to strengthen his military as she claimed, then she was the best choice for the job.

She was both strong mentally and had the drive to win.

And it wasn't just that; people got attached to her easily, most likely due to her unique personality and leadership attributes.

There was no doubt the dragon people would feel the same.

Bash!

Using her ice magic, Kiara grabbed one of the dragon men in the face and slammed him to the ground violently.

The impact was so powerful that Jared could feel the vibration all the way from where he was.

Jared was speechless, his eyes immediately going blank.

Holding the dragon man down on the ground, Kiara yelled,

"Are you kidding me?! What kind of shitty reaction is that? You might as well wear a sign saying 'Kill me please'! Are you looking to die on the battlefield?!"

Her voice raged throughout the training ground.

The other lizard men who watched all had neutral expressions, as if scared to even move a muscle.

"What was your answer when I asked you to join the Special Force?!"

The dragon trapped under her hand replied with a shaky voice,

"T...to p...protect the Dragon Master!"

Kiara raised him up and then...

Bam!

Slammed him back to the ground.

"How do you plan to do that when you can't judge a single attack?! Uhnn? Do you want to embarrass me in front of Lord Jared?! Uh? Is that it?!"

"No, Commander!"

"I can't hear you, dirty pig! What did you say?!"

"No, Commander!!!"

Jared and the girls watched, every color on their faces completely drained. They weren't exactly surprised; it was more like, 'Is this what she does when we are not around?'

"J...just so you know, my lord...I...I don't do this behind your back," Lucy uttered, though her facial expression said otherwise.

_I should go down there before she kills him..._

That thought disappeared as quickly as it came when Jared saw the look on the dragon man's face.

Despite Kiara stepping on him like a homeless man, he still had a smile on his face, as if every step she took on him was a blessing to his existence.

And it wasn't just him; the other soldiers, both men and women, all had the same look, their eyes sparkling with adoration.

_What the hell did she do to them?_

[Some of the gods are worried about the soldiers.]

[The dragon god pleads to get the demon away from his people.]

_I...can understand your worry._

Without saying a word to the others, Jared leaped down from where he stood, landing right next to where the soldiers were lined up.

Of course, Paimon and Lucy followed right after.

It was then a voice echoed from the crowd.

"D...Dragon Master! It's an honor to see you!"

One of them fell to his knees, head bowed.

"Dragon Master!"

"Welcome, Dragon Master!"

One by one, everyone began to fall to their knees.

It didn't take long for Kiara to pick up on what was happening.

Taking her attention away from the man who was almost half dead, she looked to the side and saw Jared approaching her.

Her once-angry expression turned into that of a teenage girl as her face turned beet red.

"Lord Jared is here..." she blurted out.

Using her legs to kick the dragon man to the side, she moved forward a bit, trying to cover the distance as best as she could.

"Good morning, Lord Jared. I hope you slept well," she said, bowing her head slightly.

Jared observed her.

_Did her entire attitude just change in a matter of minutes?_

"I heard you started military training. Why didn't you tell me beforehand?"

Kiara flinched a bit, her expression softening.

"I intended to keep it a surprise; I thought you'd be happy to see it since you mentioned wanting to strengthen the village's military. I don't know who went ahead and told you about it when I wanted to be the one to do it."

She shot Lucy a glare.

Lucy looked to the side, averting eye contact.

"It is going well then?" asked Jared.

"Y-yes," Kiara smiled. "When I mentioned you wanted to make a strong army and were looking for people to volunteer, I was surprised to see a lot of people willing to take part in it. Haha, they were so happy too."

Jared suddenly pulled her cheeks.

"You used my name to gather people into the military?"

"Ow ow owieee~" she moaned. "I...I'm sorry...t...they wouldn't join otherwise."

The soldiers who observed this scene all looked as if they had seen a ghost.

Was the Ice Commander being cute and manhandled?

The only thing that now surpassed their fear for her was their respect for Jared.

Jared released his hold on her cheeks.

"How many were you able to gather?"

"Uh...when I counted, there were about 100 people."

_Seeing as I can see some Cat people here too, it's safe to say it's not only the dragon people that are here. 100 people, huh...that's not bad in terms of military strength; that's about the same number of people Olsen has._

Jared looked at them closely and realized all of them literally had no weapons in their possession.

_Then there's this..._
