Supreme Game: Antimagic Apocalypse

Chapter 61: The Antimagic Weapons

< Congratulations, Raizel, for clearing the first trial. You have proven yourself worthy of the Legacy of the Forbidden Heroes. Go and claim your reward if you wish to carry the great legacy of the Forbidden Heroes. >

< Your next trial awaits you. May we meet again. >

Raizel listened carefully to the automated voice, puzzled by its words.

'Who are the Forbidden Heroes? And why was I chosen for this legacy?'

He wasn't afraid—just curious. He pondered the possible consequences of accepting such power.

As he delved deeper into thought, his gaze drifted ahead.

Before him, the rewards materialized. That's right not just one, but two.

[ Spear of Convergence (Damaged) ]

[ Sword of Divergence (Damaged) ]

Raizel examined the weapons' details and was struck speechless upon realizing their capabilities.

These two weapons felt as if they were specially handcrafted for him.

The spear was sharp, almost snowy white in color—just like his hair. Meanwhile, the sword was crimson, matching the color of his eyes.

There was definitely a connection between these weapons and his altered appearance.

Just what had he been dragged into?

Was someone, or some group, was trying take control of his body?

He pondered hard but couldn't reach any logical conclusion.

Or perhaps... they simply wanted something from him. It's as simple as that.

With that thought, he shook his head, pushing aside his concerns.

For now, he would accept the power he had been given.

It benefited him, after all—for now, at least.

Raizel picked up the Spear of Convergence first, feeling its slightly cold to the touch. It was just heavy enough for his current needs, and its tip was razor-sharp—capable of piercing through metal with ease.

Upon closer inspection, faint cracks lined its main body, and the microscopic magical runes etched into it appeared damaged.

Next, placing the spear in his left hand, he reached for the floating sword.

It was a single edged broadsword, its gleaming crimson surface reflecting his own image like a mirror.

He gripped the hilt to lift it, and felt the sword was slightly heavier than the spear, but he could wield it with some effort.

And like the spear, it bore signs of damage.

Resting the sword on his shoulder, he cut an imposing figure with both legendary weapons by his side.

Yet, he hadn't mastered a single weapon—not yet.

And weapon mastery was no simple feat. It took years for a person to master just one.

But he had been gifted with two.

Would he really have to start from scratch?

Plop!

Before he could think further, Raizel vanished from the Trial Ground in an instant.

He found himself back in the same guest house where he had left off.

Looking around, everything seemed quiet, except for the occasional warning shouts of the village guards.

It was probably around midnight already.

He noticed some food placed on the table—most likely delivered by the villagers upon knowing he was here.

He was getting hungry too.

With a silent thanks to the villagers, Raizel started eating with relish.

There was fried fish, freshly cooked rice, and a few pieces of meat for dinner.

As soon as he lifted the lids, a mouthwatering aroma drifted under his nose.

Swallowing his saliva, he quickly stored his newly acquired weapons in his inventory, making space by discarding the damaged steel sword and bronze sword from his collection.

Then, without wasting a second, he dug into his meal, savoring the raw, natural flavors.

The food was highly nutritious, benefiting his body immensely.

He also summoned Oscar, his little monkey companion, to feed him.

Feeding Oscar was essential if he wanted the little creature to grow faster. However, he hadn't yet found anything precious enough to accelerate its growth significantly.

That didn't mean Oscar had stopped growing, though.

The tiny monkey had already grown to the size of a human baby.

It gazed at Raizel with fawning eyes, as if seeking permission to eat.

"Go on, little buddy. But don't spoil my food," Raizel said, dividing some of the food into a bowl for Oscar as he had plenty to fill his belly.

After dinner, Raizel decided to rest on the bed for a while, as the past few hours had been quite stressful and tiring.

He was feeling fatigued from all the stamina drain during the last wave.

So, he lay down on the bed, leaving Oscar behind him on the soft mattress.

Oscar stayed silent, heeding his master's warning, while watching the night sky outside the window.

Raizel smiled at Oscar's antics.

Very soon, his vision blurred, his eyelids grew heavy, and his body drifted into deep sleep.

Time passed.

Everything seemed peaceful—so natural, as if it were just another regular night.

But suddenly—

"KYAAAH! KYAAAH!"

The little monkey, Oscar, suddenly let out sharp cries, sounding terrified.

"KYAAAH! KYAAAH!"

Despite the noise, Raizel didn't wake up.

As a result, Oscar resorted to scratching Raizel's chest with his tiny nails.

Raizel's eyes snapped open. First, he looked at the ceiling, then at the little monkey, who continued crying sharply while staring out the window.

Annoyed at first for being woken up, Raizel was about to scold Oscar—until he heard the sounds of chaos drifting in from outside, mixing with the monkey's fearful cries.

Oscar wasn't trying to annoy him.

He was terrified.

Only then did Raizel realize something was definitely wrong.

He followed the little monkey's gaze through the open window, and immediately, his pupils constricted.

"How?"

A single question crossed his mind.
