The girls continued with their river boat ride and had a great time teasing Sophia about the inevitable misunderstandings she's going to cause when they arrive on the demon continent. A little upset over that, the blonde forgot to warn them about the waterfall she spotted right in front of them, and only cared about her own safety by jumping off the boat just in time.
"That was so fun! Let's go again!" The girls, soaked in water from ear to toe, lay sprawled out on the shore of the lake beneath the massive waterfall they had just dropped down from. There, Steph was in her best mood as she looked at the 20-meter drop that they had just fallen from before swimming through the beach they were on. "Also, Maya and Ari, thank you very much for wearing white tops! I can see everything~!" She then jumped to her feet and noticed with great delight how the cat-girl's top, which had always been partially see-through, had lost all of its capabilities of hiding the goods after being drenched in water. Ari's white vest, too, hadn't been able to deal with the water overly well, either.
"The view up and into your crop top from a low angle is great, too, but that's not the main point right now!" Lying on the floor with Steph towering above them, Maya had an excellent view of the dog-girl's tummy and chest from below under her way-too-short top, but she didn't care about that. Not too much, at least.
"That's not the point AT ALL!" Ari's voice rose as she glared at the two perverts. "We just fell down a waterfall! WATERFALL!"
"Yeah, and it was amazingly good fun!"
"In her defense, it was rather thrilling." Anna sided with the dog-girl. "It's also not like such a drop could've hurt any of us."
"And that's why I like you so much!" Steph was delighted that the princess had her back.
"I would've preferred a warning, though." Chloe, who was currently busy fluffing up her wet and sad-looking tail with air magic, wasn't overly happy about the surprise part of their sudden thrill ride.
"Fair enough." Anna couldn't blame her for that.
----------------
"It seems like everyone had a great time, huh?" A couple of minutes later, Sophia finally regrouped with the girls while showing everyone a hearty grin.
"I did not!" The jaguar sounded a little upset.
"Ari's see-through vest was rather nice. So were your sister's underboobs, and the soaked clothes clinging to our big girls, but I disagree with the waterfall!" Even though she got a lot out of it, Maya also wasn't overly happy with the actual event itself.
"Always happy to provide~." Steph reacted with a cheeky thumbs-up in her direction.
"Why didn't you warn us sooner?!" Ignoring the perverts, Ari jumped off the ground and got closer to Sophia.
"…" The blonde paused for a second before her eyes eventually moved down a bit. "She's right, it is a nice vest."
"Focus, idiot!" The jaguar didn't appreciate that.
"I am!" Saying so, Sophia intensified her stare at Ari's chest and the see-through vest.
"I love her." Maya couldn't stay mad at her tiger.
"Understandable." Steph nodded a few times.
"Focus on the QUESTION! Not my breasts!" Immediately after, the jaguar covered her chest with her arms.
"I wanted to get back at you all for teasing me earlier." Sophia shrugged. "And no, don't come at me with stuff like it wasn't teasing because it's true or whatever. "Your intonation and the way everyone worded it clearly was teasing." She wasn't going to give them a way to defend themselves. "Sure, teasing is fine, but so is getting back at everyone for it~."
"By throwing us down a waterfall?" Ari wasn't sure if the getting back part was fair there.
"Absolutely! My emotional damage was greater than your physical damage." The blonde nodded. "As in, you have no physical damage, while I have some emotional damage." She doesn't take it well when she's being told the truth, after all.

"…"
"Half of you even had fun, and all of you got to enjoy a wet t-shirt contest, so who really got the short end of the stick here?"
"…" The jaguar was unable to say anything in her defense.
"By the way, there are going to be a lot more waterfalls up ahead, so be advised about that." Sophia dropped the topic.
"Let's go!" Clapping her hands, Steph went closer to the shore and uprighted their capsized boat that had washed up. "I hope the next one will be even higher!"
"I'm NOT going to go down another waterfall!" Ari rapidly shook her head. "I'm walking!"
"Mhmm, walking or going down more waterfalls… That's a hard one." The lazy pink fox had trouble deciding.
"How do you even know what's further down the river?" Maya looked at her tiger. "Did you gain another not-overseer overseer ability?"
"I just had a good overview of what lies in front of us from up there." Sophia pointed up at the waterfall and its overhang, which was a little over 20 meters above them.
"Ah, okay, fair enough." The cat-girl hadn't thought about such an easy explanation. "I think I'm also team walking, though." She then shrugged and looked down at herself. "I don't mind giving everyone here a show, but sticky-wet clothes feel disgusting. I'd prefer not to get wet again." Maya paused for a second. "Hah, not a sentence I use often."
"For now, I'd say that I prefer walking, as well." Anna glanced at the lightly wrecked boat before looking down at herself. "I'm also not a fan of wet clothes. Okay, sure, air magic will take care of that really easily, but the moment it happens still feels unpleasant and sticky."
"Why are wet clothes worse than falling down a waterfall for all of you?!" Ari raised her voice again. "I hate those days where I'm the only one with common sense!"
"Is it really common sense if you're the only one with it?" Steph cutely tilted her head to the side.
"Shush!" She didn't like that.
"I like it when Ari's trying to convince the others about her standpoint instead of me for a change~." Sophia smiled at the girl with the questionable common sense.
"You already had your revenge for me teasing you by throwing me down a waterfall! No more teasing allowed for the time being!" Ari lightly glared at the chuckling blonde.
"Ari's almost as whiny as Sophia, isn't she?" That was the only thing Steph could think about while listening to them.
"Why do you think they get along so well?" Maya just shrugged.
"Fair enough."
"Shut up!" The two in question perfectly synced up.
"I saw that one coming." Anna wasn't surprised by their reaction, either.
"…" They did not like being seen through that easily, either.
"Anyway, fine, let's walk for the time being." The dog-girl wanted to continue traveling and returned to the previous topic.
"Yeah, let's do that." Nodding once, Sophia agreed with her and picked up the boat to put it back in her storage. Then, once everyone had finished drying themselves, the girls began walking alongside the river in the hope of eventually reaching the ocean that way.
----------------
"By the way, assuming we're headed in the right direction, will there be any more cities before reaching the ocean?" After around half an hour of idle chatter while walking, Steph got curious about what to expect ahead of them.
"Not that I know of, at least." Ari shook her head.
"Same." Anna thought so, too. "Though, even as the princess, I naturally don't know every single city or village in our country, so it's not guaranteed that there's nothing."
"It does line up with what I'm seeing with my detection magic, too." Sophia concentrated for a second. "There's nothing noteworthy in the upcoming 250 kilometers in front of us from what I can tell."
"Glad to know my geography knowledge is still holding up!" The jaguar was happy to have recalled the correct information.
"Yes!" The tall tiger felt the same. "Though, I'm getting less confident the more we travel."
"You're not wrong about that."
"Did you say 250 kilometers just now?" Chloe then looked at the blonde.
"Don't worry, we'll get Fenny and Aura later. I'm sure one of them will give you a ride." The blonde gave a thumbs-up.
"T-That's not what I meant…" She got embarrassed for a moment. "No, since when does your detection magic have such a range?"
"It's growing every day~." Sophia showed her a big smile. "It's probably scaling with my regular magic growth!"
"That's so cool!"
"You still have to teach me how to do that!" Steph looked at her sister with sparkling eyes.
"It's Fenny's magic, so you should really ask him to teach you."
"I keep forgetting, but I definitely will now!" Steph energetically nodded a couple of times. "Though, speaking of, how far away is the ocean?"
"More than 250 kilometers, that's for sure." The blonde smiled at her.
"Thank you very much, Captain Obvious." She lightly rolled her eyes in return.
"Always there to help~."
"I'm not exactly sure, but if I remember right, it's quite a bit further away." Anna scratched her cheek while thinking about it. "Nothing but plains, as well."
"I think there was a small mountain range in between, but otherwise this really is a rather empty area of the kingdom." Ari agreed with her.
"Nothing but plains for hundreds of kilometers, huh? No villages or cities, either…" Steph sounded bored just thinking about it.
"Portal skip?" Sophia had a feeling that her sister wanted to take a shortcut.
"Portal skip!" The dog-girl's personality perked right up again.
Afterward, Sophia got one of the stones she had enchanted with her portal magic out of her storage and flung it in the same direction as the river was flowing, so they could shorten the travel time by skipping a good portion of the distance.
