Honestly… I don't know what to expect when I walked into the nightclub Amber had suggested for our date.

I mean… It's not like I've never been in a nightclub before, but I certainly never been to one on this station in particular.

Stepping past the female dancing android and through the nightclub entrance, we were immediately hit with the sound of loud music blasting in our ears.

The dark interior was barely illuminated by the random flashes of strobe lights that periodically flashed overhead, briefly lighting up the dancefloor that was packed with people bobbing to the music.

I'm surprised that there's so many people in here to be honest. I was half expecting the place to be empty and devoid of life with how trashy the exterior looked.

Maybe this place was already considered the best or maybe it's cheap? I dunno.

I turned to Amber, needing to shout over the music for her to hear me, "What are we doing here?!"

She smirked and did not answer me but grabbed my wrist to pull me along behind her.

We headed to the side of the dance floor and over to the bar area where it was less crowded.

She sat down at the bar counter and motioned for me to join her which I did.

The bar counter was empty with the bartender nowhere to be found.

There must be a way to get drinks though, as the few people that were hanging around a few feet away were holding cups with drinks in them.

Unless they just took it from the bar themselves…

But it doesn't look like Amber was here for drinks so she didn't look bothered that we weren't being served.

I raised an eyebrow at her, once again questioning what we were doing here.

She pulled up her personal terminal and showed me what was on her screen.

It took me a moment to realise that it was a Mercenary Guild's hustle that she had already accepted and she was showing me the details of the hustle.

'Clear out smuggler hideout under Lifei Night Club. Problematic smuggler gang hideout has been tracked to be hiding under Lifei Night Club. Expect heavily armed resistance. Leave no survivors.'

Erm… So… You basically took me here just to do a job?

That was what I was thinking when I looked back at her with another raised eyebrow.

She leaned over to talk in my ear, "It's underground, Tera! No one else will be down there except for our targets! And we're going to kill them all anyway! I thought you might not be satisfied with the last group!"

I blinked at her, "What about… Cameras?"

"We can just hack their security system, can't we?" She eyed my chest intentionally.

…

Amber, you beautiful woman you.

I grabbed her and kissed her on the lips, enjoying the taste of her mouth before pulling back to grin at her.

Amber basically found a place for the both of us to use our powers as much as we wanted without worrying about needing to hide them.

I have to admit that the first test with those five pirates barely satisfied me and I kind of want to test out my telekinesis a bit more.

Sure, I could try it on Renata, but it's still different to use it on an actual person instead of an eldritch maid like her.

Using it on her still helps me with my control of my powers though, so I'm not complaining.

The only complaint I have is that I'm pretty sure she's enjoying it more than I was… Especially how she always finds a way to make it sexual…

"So… Where do we start?" I asked.

Amber shut off her personal terminal and gestured behind the bar, "Secret entrance over there."

I narrowed my eyes at the bar that she was pointing at but I don't see anything different about it.

At least this might explain why there isn't a bartender behind the counter I suppose.

I leaned over to her, "How do you know there's a secret door there?"

"Mmm~ It's something to do with your telekinetic sensing, Tera, I'll teach you next time~"

"Alright, so how do we get in there?"

She got up from her seat and beckoned for me to follow her.

I did as she asked and when she got to that part of the bar, she simply pushed it and a part of the shelf detached itself to swing inwards, allowing us to step through it.

I thought that the door might not even be locked at first until it swung back and Amber waved her hand over it, telekinetically latching the locking mechanisms back into place.

Ok, I am definitely learning that.

Behind the secret entrance was a short corridor leading to a lift which we entered and Amber pressed the button that would bring us to the lowest floor.

Well, the button didn't work and it looked like we needed a card or something to unlock it.

While I could probably just use my Codex…

"Renata?" I asked.

"Ehehe~ I'm on it Daddy! Disabling their security systems!"

A tentacle-like appendage snaked out from in between my boobs to latch onto the lift's control panel.

I'm pretty sure Renata intentionally chose that place to appear from for a reason…

The lights in the lift flickered for a moment before the tentacle retracted back into my cleavage to disappear into the valley there.

"Ehehehe~ All done, Daddy! I also made sure to disable their security cameras so there will be no recordings of this place!"

Perfect then.

We pressed the button again and this time the lift doors closed and began to descend.

At this point, if it was the past us, I would be checking my weapons and making sure that my shotgun was loaded and everything while Amber would also be doing the same with her pistols.

But this time…

Amber floated up above the ground, a ball of fire materialising above her right palm.

I did the same as well where I levitated above the ground… Only to smack my head into the ceiling of the lift because I forgot we were still descending.

It didn't hurt but I certainly felt silly.

Amber giggled and reached out her other hand to me, prompting me to grab it and I levitated myself as well, my lover pulling me along to make sure I don't smack my head again.

The lift finally reached the bottom floor and the doors slid open, revealing a bald headed guy who was standing in front of the lift with a rifle in his hands.

"What the? Who are--"

He didn't even get to finish his question before I focused my mind on him, trying to use what I have learned in the last few days to not make him explode into pieces.

The smuggler immediately stopped moving, his mouth opened mid speech while his gun was also halfway in the motion of trying to point it at us.

That gave me an idea…

I tried to move his arm to point the gun at his own head like how you might see in the movies where one guy controls someone else to shoot themselves. But…

His arms ended up getting ripped out of their sockets and I'm pretty sure that guy was screaming out in pain mentally since he was unable to do so vocally.

Whoops… Looks like I really still need more practice.

I then tried to fire off the gun anyway by using the broken off arm to squeeze the trigger but… The finger literally exploded into pieces when I tried to squeeze it.

Tsk… I really need to have better control over organics to stop making them explode…

I telekinetically pulled on the trigger and fired off the gun, the ballistic bullet piercing through his skull and killing him.

I released him from my hold and let him drop onto the ground before I flew out of the lift with Amber beside me.

The lift had stopped in a rather large hall where it seemed like it was being used as a storehouse of sorts with all the shelves and crates that were stacked on them.

No doubt, this was where this smuggler gang was holding all their smuggled goods.

Which also means that there were also a whole bunch of people that were guarding this area and all of them were staring at us with their mouths gaped open in shock.

I wasn't really sure whether they were in shock with how their friend had their arms ripped out and shot in front of them, or it was because of the fact that they just watched two people float out of their elevator where one of them still has a ball of fire floating above their hand.

The silence stretched for a few seconds before someone actually dropped their gun and turned to run away.

That seemed to set off everyone else as they also either dropped their weapons or just straight up started to run away as fast as they could.

Hey! Who said you could run?! Come back here and fight us!! Come on!!
