The two women left our room looking all giddy with happiness that you wouldn't have thought those two were rivals just a few moments ago.
Heck, they were even talking like they were best friends as they left.
And yes, we did get the seven hundred million Credits that was agreed on.
I was now just about a hundred million Credits short of having a billion Credits in my Codex.
That was definitely a lot of Credits… More than enough for us to get a D Class ship if we wanted to.
Ries swallowed audibly when she stared at the number on my Codex.
"I have never seen this much money in my entire life…"
"I'm prepared to see most of this money disappear in the coming days since we would most likely be trying to purchase some Exo-Knights for ourselves if possible. After all… We do have an additional ship that was meant specifically to carry Exo-Knights so it would be a waste if it was left empty," I commented.
Ries grinned at me, "Don't worry Boss! I'll make sure we get ourselves a good one! I won't use it to buy something worthless!"
"Well… I'm more concerned about how much the new generation of Exo-Knights would cost since they would definitely jack up the prices since it's new, right?"
She tapped the side of her cheek, "I'll have to see how the new systems work. Maybe we can just get ourselves an older model and then buy the new power system to install it ourselves. It would take longer for it to go into operation but that would surely save us quite a number of Credits."
I shrugged, "I'll leave that to you then."
Amber leaned on my back, "I'll be honest, that's really a scary amount of money. I never thought I would be able to see that big of a number reflected in the form of Credits in my life…"
Mara sipped on her tea brewed with the tea leaves we've grown on the ship, "Is it really that big of a number though? I still think it's just small change."
"Shut it you former noble. We know that you were incredibly rich before so no need to rub it in. Doesn't change the fact that you were dirt poor when you first started out your Gene Splice clinic before!"
Mara shrugged and said nothing in return.
Lea refilled my tea before asking, "What do you think they will price the new Exo-Knights at?"
Ries tapped her chin with a finger, "Hmm… If I had to guess… Probably three times the average price for the current generation? Though I predict that it would drop to maybe around three times to two times the price after a year or so before stabilising there. So if we want to get our hands on the newest models straight away, we might be spending close to a hundred million Credits per unit."
That's not too bad? We could afford one for everyone just using the Credits we just earned from this transaction alone.
But I know for a fact that not everyone will be piloting one so it's unnecessary to buy that many units.
Wait a minute… A thought just came to me.
I looked down at my Codex, "Hey… What do you girls think about buying a few cheaper models and then using this autonomous data chip on them to create a squad of autonomous Exo-Knights? Our new ship has space to fit several of them after all."
Ries swivelled to me with sparkly eyes, "That would be really cool, Boss!! Let's do that!! We can get two of the best ones and then maybe six cheaper models that we can use as support!"
Renata's face suddenly appeared on my chest while puffing up her cheeks, "Is there a need for that, Daddy? You can just make me pilot them, right?"
Well… I guess it's true… We don't really need an automated AI to pilot the Exo-Knights since Renata can do it on her own as well.
She then looked up at me with a sparkle in her eyes, "Can I eat the data that you copied onto your terminal, Daddy? It might help me pilot better!"
I looked at Ries and she wordlessly reached into her pocket to pull out a data chip that I plugged into my Codex to transfer the data over before passing it to the Renata on my chest.
She opened her mouth wide and I dropped it into her mouth, my eldritch maid swallowing it like it was some kind of snack.
"Mmm~ Tasty~ Not as tasty as your honey though, Daddy!" She giggled before disappearing back into my chest.
Amber giggled, "Ehehe~ Speaking of tasty~ I think it's time for us to get our own serving of your honey, right Tera?"
I jumped up on my feet, "Ahem!! The day is still young, right? We were planning to go out and explore the city, weren't we?"
As much as I didn't mind having sex with my girls, I literally just spent the last hour doing nothing but ejaculating enough honey to fill up ten jars of honey to give Sophia and Sofiya.
Sure, I cheated a little by using my tentacles but the pleasure I was experiencing was also multiplied by the number of tentacles I had created.
That's why I kind of want to just relax a little instead of getting pulled into another pleasure heaven… Otherwise I fear I might actually end up getting addicted and just end up doing nothing but have sex everyday.
Oh wait… I already do that.
Anyway! The girls said something about the hotel having quite interesting facilities too so I kind of want to see that as well.
That can be done tonight though, so first is doing some city exploration!
We've already pretty much spent the whole day here and it's already dinner time so I'm hungry! Since this place is close to the Inner Colonies, the organic food being served here must at least be up to a certain standard, right?
"Where's the best place to get the best tasting food here?" I asked.
Everyone immediately pointed at me.
Ok, that was on me… I should have expected something like that…
I cleared my throat, "Ahem… Aside from me. I don't think I can just go and borrow the hotel kitchen and whip up something for us, can I?"
Amber grinned, "I'm pretty sure we can if we ask them nicely~"
"Ok, sure… But let's try the cuisine here first before that, ok? Who knows? We might actually find a place where they might actually make food that tastes better than mine!"
The girls all gave me looks that told me they really doubt that would be the case but none of them said anything.
Mara brought out her personal terminal and opened up a screen to start searching through the station's GalaNet.
"Hmm… I suppose that Credits isn't a problem now, Captain?"
"Give us the best that Credits can buy."
"In that case… There's a really exclusive restaurant in the city centre that I can reserve for us tonight. Shall I make the arrangements?"
"What kind of food do they serve?"
She swiped her hand across to turn the screen around, showing a dining area which was actually quite familiar to me.
It featured the teppan grill with seats surrounding the grill, meaning this was quite literally a teppan style restaurant.
In that case, even in the worst case scenario, they would just put the food on the grill and cook it, right? So it shouldn't be that bad!
Plus, I get to see how they do it in this universe too so maybe I might be able to pick up some additional skills on the grill as well!
I nodded at her, "Let's do that~ This looks good. How much is it?"
"Twenty thousand Credits per person."
Which means seven of us would be a hundred and forty thousand Credits… That's pretty cheap?
"Are you sure that's the best they have?"
Mara nodded, "That we are able to have access to, yes."
"Hmm… Seems pretty cheap to me though…"
Amber cleared her throat, "Ahem… Tera? A normal meal would cost about fifty Credits or so around here for the average person…"
…
We are spending enough for a person to eat two thousand eight hundred meals for this one single meal…
Assuming the person has two meals a day and that there are three hundred and sixty five days in a year… This cost of this single meal of ours is enough to feed that person for more than three and a half years.
Yeah… If it wasn't obvious already, I think my sense of money is completely screwed…
"But hey! This is close to the Inner Colonies so things should start getting more and more expensive right?" I asked.
All of them shook their heads at me.
"That's… Not how it works, Captain. Though it is true that the price range will undoubtedly expand, there will also be poorer districts in each of the places we go to that still has things in the lower price range…" Mara explained.
Is that how it works? I dunno, I've never been to these places before.
Whatever!! Let's just go and eat! I'm hungry!
