What Do You Mean I'm The Captain Of A Yandere Mercenary Company?

Chapter 757: It Is A Very Fancy Place

When Mara told me that place was fancy, I definitely wasn't expecting this level of fancy.

They had a formal dress code and we had to change out from our usual clothes to dress accordingly.

Well… The other girls had to do that while Renata simply transformed herself into a black formal strapless evening dress that had a slit for the thigh.

My girls also had their own formal clothes which they had bought during one of their shopping trips during our stopover at the station where we picked up the android.

Amber, Mara and Lea all wore beautiful dresses that really showcased their beauties while Ries and Yumiko opted for a formal women's suit and pants.

Renata was, of course, dressed in her usual maid uniform which she refused to change out of. Apparently that was fine because rich clients would sometimes let servants eat with them as well so that was allowed.

Additionally with our reservation, they would even send an actual limousine to come and pick you up to take you to the restaurant itself wherever you were.

They really weren't kidding about this being fancy.

Thus, we were just standing in front of the entrance of the hotel when a literal black limousine came flying down from the sky.

Looking at the vehicle, there doesn't even seem to be a driver seat so this car was most likely piloted autonomously.

When I stepped up to the car, a green light shone out from the back of the car to scan me before a voice spoke out from the car.

"Reservation confirmed. Welcome Miss Tera and company, on your first step to the gastronomy experience of a lifetime."

The door at the back popped open before sliding to the side, revealing a plush interior with opaque windows inside the vehicle.

Ok, this is quite elaborate… And to claim that this was 'the gastronomy experience of a lifetime'? Now I'm quite looking forward to it.

We climbed on board the vehicle and the interior of the car was rectangular with what looked like two leather couches facing each other and a tea table in the centre.

When I looked around, I confirmed that there really wasn't a cockpit at the front of the car and it was definitely an autonomous vehicle.

Once everyone was seated, the door slid back into place and the windows of the car became transparent and we could see outside the vehicle.

With how the windows changed like that, I'm pretty sure they were designed so that the people inside the vehicle can see out but people will not be able to see inside.

The car soon took off into the sky in a slow ascent with barely a rumble and I got to watch the ground get further and further away from us.

"I'm going to assume that getting a car like this is pretty expensive?" I asked.

"We can afford it," Ries giggled.

Mara turned to me, "Though I would suggest against purchasing one since we quite literally have no use for it.

Oh I know, Mara. It's not like we're going to take the car and just fly around the cargo bay of our ship, are we? I'm not that wasteful with my Credits yet…

I looked out the window and enjoyed the sight of the city flying past us below.

Judging by the direction of the vehicle, it looked like we were headed towards an egg shaped building with a sort of platform sticking out near the top.

I thought for sure the car would stop on the platform itself but it ended up descending towards the front of the building and came to a stop directly in front of the building's entrance.

I feel that despite how luxurious the ride was supposed to be, it was over really quickly before you actually got to enjoy it.

Maybe it would have been more worth it if we had been staying at a place that was further from the city centre.

The door popped open again and this time there was someone outside to receive us, which happened to be a woman that had ram horns and what looked like sheep fleece scattered around parts of her limbs.

She bowed deeply as I stepped out from the vehicle, "Welcome, Miss Tera and company. It is an honour for you to join us today."

The fact that they knew us by name was pretty impressive despite not seeing us before.

The woman straightened herself before gesturing towards the building's entrance, "If I may be allowed to guide you, Miss Tera."

We followed behind her and entered the building where we were greeted with a large, spacious lobby that even had an indoor water feature as its centrepiece.

I already learned that having a water feature was a sign of wealth so the fact that they had one inside the lobby itself was clearly also a flex.

No doubt, this place was definitely for the rich.

Our sheep woman guide led us to the elevators where we took a ride up towards the higher floors. Judging by the holographic signs next to each of the floor buttons, this must be a commercial building with other businesses located here as well.

And going by the names, the place where we would be having our dinner should be located on the highest floor.

Sure enough, the lift only stopped when the indicator showed that we have arrived on the top floor and our guide walked out with us following behind her.

The first thing I noticed was that this place looked more like a penthouse than a restaurant and the platform that I saw earlier was actually part of the restaurant itself with tables and chairs laid out.

Seems like that was meant to give customers some kind of high rise dining experience or something where they can look down at the city below them as they ate.

My attention, however, was drawn towards the teppan grill that was located in the centre of the floor where it featured two large grills that were arranged opposite each other and facing outwards, allowing the seating area to surround both grills in an enclosed rectangle.

Mara leaned over to me to whisper, "They had a private seating option but it was fully booked until the next month so the public seating area was the best that we could get."

"Is there a difference in food?"

"No. It's just that the private seating area just gives you more privacy. It's more for corporate meetings so the only thing we're losing out on is that we can't lay on the table and have you make love to us during the meal."

I'm not even going to comment on that…

Looking at the number of chairs around the grill, each of the grills was designed to serve seven customers each so we should be getting an entire grill to ourselves anyway.

And as expected, our guide brought us to one of them and seated us with me taking the centre seat and my girls flanking to my left and right.

Taking the seat on my immediate right was Amber while Lea took the seat to my immediate left.

I will say that they actually drew lots to determine who got those two seats on their way here but I chose not to say anything about it.

Aside from us, it seems like there were few other customers seated in the normal area of the restaurant and the other grill was still empty. Either we were the only group tonight to be eating here or they have yet to arrive.

The sheep woman waited for all of us to be settled in our seats before addressing me again.

"Miss Tera, could I ask if this is your first time in our establishment?"

"Hmm? Yes it is."

"Do you know the rules when dining at this table?"

There's even rules here? I guess places like these have their own standards that they expect their guests to observe, which is why we're all dressed so formally in the first place I guess…

"I'm afraid I am not aware of them," I admitted.

"That is not a problem. May I explain the rules to you?"

I nodded at her to go ahead.

She straightened herself, "The first rule is that the chef will be the one deciding what to cook and feed you during the course of the meal. You may request for specific dishes to be made but it is up to our chef to decide if they will serve it or not. The second rule is that you do not share your food with the others at the table. And the third rule is that you will not disrupt the chef while they are cooking in front of you. Are these rules acceptable for you?"

Those are pretty standard and I believe all of us shouldn't be breaking any of those rules anyway so this should be fine.

"Yes, that is fine," I answered her.

She bowed, "Then please enjoy the gastronomic experience of a lifetime."

Sure, sure~ Now where's the chef? I want my food!
