Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1206: Star Gateways

Vexthra was left stunned.

She had lived for millions of years already and had heard terrifying stories and legends. However, among those stories, the one that scared her the most was the forgotten legend of the Ruthless Bandit.

There are many twisted variations of his story; however, from what she knew of the Ruthless Bandit, he was born a fortunate child.

His bloodline is human, but, as many said, his true lineage traces back to the ancient humans. Legends speak of them as the first humans.

He was the prince of a mighty empire.

He had a loving family, friends, and riches that promised to keep him afloat for years to come. Basically, he had everything.

To him, reaching the peak of cultivation was paved for him, for he had the backing to walk with his shoulder held high.

However, despite his riches, his family made sure he also received a good upbringing. The plan was to mold his character into that of an emperor, for he was destined to sit on the throne one day.

Everyone loved him, and he was on track to become the next emperor.

However, all that was taken from him when their own allies conspired against them. Those his family had protected for eons plotted against them, and overnight, every last one of them was slaughtered.

He was the only one who barely survived by sheer luck.

Homeless and on the run from powerful enemies, he resorted to any means to survive. He was raised as a good and honest person. However, he found himself running for his life simply because of the power of his surname.

Eventually, the gentle and loving prince began to disappear, replaced by a cold and ruthless person.

He was later taken in by a bandit group that had no moral code. They would do anything to survive. No thanks to them, his life was further twisted until he became someone akin to a monster.

He killed without mercy or remorse.

To him, to win a battle, he would use any means necessary. He had no problem using just anyone to get what he wanted.

In his book, the end justifies the means.

In fact, he got to the point that even the bandits he moved with became afraid of him. He only grew more ruthless by the passing of the days until even the bandits with no moral code had to pull themselves away from him.

However, that was when the worst of him was born. She slaughtered his former teammates and went ahead to start wreaking havoc wherever he went.

The slightest thing makes him tick, and when he is angry, blood flows like a river.

Eventually, he was given the name "Ruthless Bandit."

The many powerhouses were too scared of him to dare raise their weapons against him. Of course, some choose not mind him. The last thing they wanted was to invoke his wrath.

However, one day, after vanishing for a hundred years, out of nowhere, the Ruthless Bandit returned as an immortal.

That was the day he was noticed, and also the day immortals learned that the most dangerous thing isn't the heavenly laws, but the human boy with red hair whose life was turned upside down because some people became greedy.

Immortals fell like flies, and soon, the gods noticed him. However, for someone who didn't care about anyone, not even the threat of the gods fazed him.

And so for hundreds of thousands of years, they hunted him down, and he killed his fair share of immortals and gods.

The forgotten legend spoke of the day he became a god. It was said that the day he stepped into the realm of godhood, almost all gods ran into hiding, leaving the god realm all to him.

Supremes and Celestials avoided him like a plague.

Even the heavenly laws didn't dare mess with him, for he was explosive, and whatever he set his mind to, no matter how long or how much he had to sacrifice, until he achieved it, he would never stop.

When the creatures of the Dark arrived, to everyone's shock, the Ruthless Bandit didn't run, but faced them with everything he had. In the end, he fell, but not before he cleaved the last Dark Beast.

"If I remember correctly, the Ruthless Bandit was shunned by the universe, his name erased from all existence. I even learned that talking about him carried some karmic debt.

So how does such a person, so ruthless that even the universe chose to erase his name, be of help to me?"

Orion, who suggested the second method to cross over to a different galaxy, waved his hand, and a star map appeared.

He spread it and then pointed at various stars.

"A very long time ago, I found this map in a ruin that came from the Dark Era. From what I learned about this map, it was one used by star travellers, beings who travel between distant stars.

These stars, from what I managed to discern, are gateways between galaxies. Of course, I wasn't convinced back then, so I further researched and found the truth.

The gateways are indeed real.

They were carved into the Void Locks by the Primordial Chaos Dragon as a way for people to be able to travel between galaxies.

However, perhaps due to miscalculations or the many battles that occurred across the eras, the gateways became corrupted.

Before the corruption, it was as simple as walking along a path from one galaxy to another.

However, it is now littered with abominable creatures.

From the map, I learned that the Ruthless Bandit once used all seven of these gateways, and that was what caused his strength to surge and talent to explode overnight.

Thanks to him, I also learned that while abominations are littering the star gateways, the strongest of them are only Immortal Lords.

I can prepare a special spatial artefact that will allow this person to evade Immortal King and upward. However, they would have to fight their way through several True Immortal stage and below abominations."

Vexthra took a deep breath, feeling her mind reeling.

She came looking for a simple solution since she knew Orion could easily create spatial channels to cross dangerous regions and even link galaxies.

However, she learned that it's not possible simply because doing so will weaken the fabric of the universe and risk releasing the oldest and most powerful enemies of the universe—the Void Beasts.

That, Vexthra knew, cannot be allowed to happen.

So they had to resort to a method that was made known by the Ruthless Bandit.

Considering the person who discovered it was the Ruthless Bandit, there is no telling just what kind of danger awaits Kent there.

'At least, facing True Immortals is better than demigods and gods.' She sighed.

"I would then trouble you to help me with a few of those artefacts. In return, I will help you break through to the God King stage and possibly, if you are not lazy, be able to reach the rank of a Universal God one day."

Orion's eyes widened. However, before he could respond, Vexthra retrieved a manual from her space ring and handed it to him.

"It contains an ancient Space Law cultivation technique that, when you master it, will push you further than you think." She handed it over to him and then leaned back in her chair.

Her Primordial Spirit had sweetened the pot for her.

"Once you are done working on the artefact, add the remaining bottle of wine. You can have the one in your glass."

Orion nodded like a kid, his eyes sparkling as he scanned the first page of the manual.

'I am sorry, Kent, but this is the best I can do. I will leave the rest to you.'
