Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1217: Dangerous Obsession

Yet again, Kent had found himself in a situation he could not make sense of.

He knew he had lived many lives; that much he is aware of.

However, he has no idea the kind of life he lived in those many lives. This means all the mistakes he made in those lives were something he had no idea about.

However, those mistakes somehow found their way back to him.

Talk about one's past catching up to them. His past had indeed caught up to him.

First was Enzi, who, from what she said, turned out to have fallen in love with Kent's past that she referred to as Aurelion Vaelros. From the little she said, this Aurelion was some kind of Beast Master.

However, while she fell in love with him, Aurelion Vaelros didn't, which left her feeling used.

Obviously, that shouldn't have been the only situation that led her to travel across the cycle of reincarnation to throw a tantrum.

However, now that he is looking at Liora's past self, who is here for the same reason, he feels like things aren't as simple as they seem.

There is something else afoot.

Vel'Zai let go of his dick and licked her lips... "So far so good, you seem to have what it takes to make things up to me — that is, if you haven't already."

She winked seductively at Kent.

The sight caused his heartbeat to quicken for a moment.

Kent cleared his throat and asked a very important question... "Can you tell me what I did wrong to you or anyone? Make me understand"

There was no arrogance or threat in his tone. He genuinely wants to know just what the hell was going on. If it were once, he would have brushed it aside.

However, this is the second time it has happened, and from a woman he loves too... That didn't seem right to him, and so he wanted to know.

Vel'Zai looked at his expression for a few seconds before a chuckle escaped her mouth... "And why would I do that?" she asked... "I mean, you had hurt me so much that I became too bitter to be around anyone.

So I had to go into seclusion and meditate for 35,000 years. Do you know how long and lonely that was? So why would I tell you anything? You deserve to go through what I went through"

Kent became calm for a moment before he replied, "Obviously, you wouldn't want your husband's attention to be divided, which I don't know if you are aware, but that will be dangerous for me. Especially now that I am about to embark on a dangerous mission"

Liora didn't say anything. She walked back to her throne and sat down. The emotional manipulation tactic Kent used seems to have reached her dark heart.

Using Elina to stir the conversation in his favour seems to have worked.

"Isn't it ironic. I was so obsessed with you simply because you made me fall in love with you. But when we were meant to be happy, you ran away without a word.

I tried to find you, but later learned that getting to you would be extremely hard because you were one of the most dangerous people in the universe back then.

Even so, I tried very hard to get your attention. But no matter how hard I tried, I never even came close to making you see me.

Eventually, I became depressed and decided to isolate myself from society simply to save them from me. Then one day, I learned I wasn't the only victim of your sneakiness.

It turned out that while I was obsessed with you, you were somewhere else, playing games with other women. Then, when you were satisfied, you ran away from them, too.

Naturally, that obsession turned into an intent to kill." She smiled weakly, "But in the end, getting to you was impossible, so here we are."

She chuckled... "Very ironic, isn't it? Now, I now have your attention, but you didn't even know what you did to me... to us."

Kent remained still, unsure of what to even say.

From what Vel'Zai just said, it seems he, at some point in time, crossed paths with her and others. However, he left and never returned.

Obviously, from the way she spoke, it felt like the time he spent with them, while maybe he had seen it as casual, they saw it differently, and so they started obsessing over him.

Kent didn't know what kind of person he was, but he knew he wouldn't use someone and dump them. Kent could feel it deep in his bones. He wasnt that kind of person.

This then left him with only one question.

Did they fall in love with him one-sidedly?

'I mean, that couldn't be the case, right?'

If so, then just what kind of person was he to make a damsel like Enzi and Liora fall in love all the way just from spending time with him?

Kent most certainly didn't have an answer to that.

However, if that's the reason he's been feeling those chilling sensations lately, then he most certainly needs to sit them down and give them a crash course on what falling in love is.

Obviously, falling one-sidedly in love is not something practical at all.

Perhaps he may have only flirted with them, which he meant to be harmless. However, in the end, they might have interpreted it as love, and perhaps when he left, which he had every right to, they saw it as a betrayal.

'Ah, what a headache... being handsome and awesome sure has its side effects.'

Kent studied Vel'Zai for a while, making sure that when he speaks, his words will resonate with her. However, even after five minutes, he didn't know what to say, so he asked for a different proposal, one that would make him and everyone happy.

"First of all, I will apologise for the pain I caused you...I am sorry. However, since I have no memory of what I did to you, resolving it by making promises would just be me saving my skin.

So how about this... Before you and your team make my life miserable, why don't you first wait for me to recover my memories?

Once I get back my memories and know what happened, I will take responsibility for my actions in their entirety. Punishing me while I have no idea what I did wrong isn't fair, and you know that."

Vel'Zai studied him for a few minutes, unsure of what to say. What Kent said did make sense. It was just that she was too hurt to accept this.

However, she isn't an unreasonable person.

A part of her knew things were much more difficult than they seemed, so she nodded in the end. However, she had a stern warning for him.

"You may have played with my heart in the past, Aurelion Vaelros, but if you dare try it again this time around, I will kill you for sure."

"I do not doubt that."

"Great," she waved her hand, and the darkness started to clear.

"I will talk to Crystal, so don't worry about her for the time being. However, better watch your back... She tends to trap people who hurt her in her Shattered Realm."

Kent raised his brow... "So she still has her memories, huh?"

"I have no comment," Vel'Zai smiled, and then she blinked a few times. Liora was finally back, but the smile on her face told him she remembered everything.
