She was born an orphan and was later sold into slavery. They escaped with 13 others who chose to take their destiny into their own hands and make a life for themselves.
They were later called the 14 Chronicles of the Storm, legendary warriors in their own capacity. In the end, every last one of them fell during the Great War on their own terms.
This is the story of a warrior who used her life to bring back hope to the dying universe.
Aelthyr was left at the doorstep of a farmer whose life couldn't be any poorer than it was. He was struggling, and with the blessing of a new baby, he gained hope to turn his life around.
So without any hesitation, he sold her into slavery, earning a few gold coins.
When she learned to talk, she had a collar around her neck with no sense of freedom or peace. Her entire teenage years were spent serving others to the best of her ability, yet she wasn't praised or rewarded... not even once.
By the age of 25, she had suffered so much that life was starting to be meaningless to her.
However, as someone who hadn't known freedom, she longed for that.
So she chose to chase freedom, and with her, 13 other slaves joined.
It was daunting and dangerous, but they succeeded. They changed their fate, and with that change, they started building a life for themselves.
Soon, a group of 14 archers, all females, rose slowly from the shadows and soon became a sensation. They called themselves the 14 Chronicles of the Storm.
14 female archers. Each possesses an affinity for lightning and Absolute Ice.
Whenever they appear, a storm follows.
Eventually, they became a team that, when the Void Beasts appeared, many counted on them to deliver.
The leader of the group, Aelthyr, was the greatest of them and one whose death gave hope to the universe.
When the Universe Guardians betrayed the universe, and the Chaos Dragon and everything was falling apart, an arrow that turned the tide was fired, and it came from the bow of Aelthyr.
She sacrificed her soul and life to unleash an arrow that not only killed 2 Void Generals, but also reversed time by a whopping hour, something that gave the Chaos Dragon the time he needed to complete his spell.
She used her life to give the universe one hour of hope. That one hour gave the universe time, and in her dying breath, they whispered a name that would forever be hers.
"They called her Aelthyrion Ruun'Vaelae, the one who gave the universe hope."
Kent smiled, and on top of his voice, he invoked Runa's True Name... "Rise Aelthyrion Ruun'Vaelae, your destiny is calling."
Rumble
Lightning surged, and a storm enveloped the entire Harem Tower. At once, it feels like the whole space was a single storm formed by divine lightning.
Inside the storm, a silhouette of a lady clad in silk armour keeps flashing whenever the lightning flashes.
"It feels like a storm deity is descending," Arien muttered, looking up. The rest of her sisters were gazing at the surging storm, each wearing a happy smile.
"I think she is a deity. Maybe even a storm goddess that had once graced the universe with her honourable presence," Unity muttered.
She also wields the bow with lightning. So she knew what she was talking about. Just gazing at the storm makes her feel as if someone who once held supreme control over lightning is being reborn.
Unity was rather unfortunate in all the lives she had lived. She never got to reach the peak of her life before tragically dying. So while she was destined to ride the storm, she never got the chance to.
Watching Runa command the storm, a part of her is happy for her, but there is also a sadness deep within.
However, she suppressed her sadness and let the moment of joy blossom.
RUMBLE
Storm surged, and through the silhouette, a large, magnificent bow appeared and slowly lowered to Runa, who caught it and instantly unleashed an arrow that separated the storm, revealing an ethereal beauty, a bow in her firm grip and a quiver hanging on her back.
Green, lush hair fell down her back, crackling with energy.
For a moment, time came to a stop.
CRACK
But then she took a step forward. Space cracked and froze solid, lightning dancing through the ice. At once, nobody knew where the chill came from, but in an instant, the entire Harem Tower turned bone-chilling cold.
Kent immediately waved his hand, and a dome of fire surrounded all his wives. But even so, the coldness didn't dissipate.
They were still feeling it deep in their bones, causing Kent to send them away to the Sword Tower instantly. Perhaps, only Adina could withstand the ice...But he wasnt about to find out.
He formed a hand seal, and a large gate appeared behind him. Inside the gate, a large green flame core lit up, sending a wave of heat in all directions.
However, despite Kent manifesting his flame core, the cold didn't waver. If anything, it starts to freeze the core, causing Kent to grit his teeth.
However, he remained standing, watching as Runa slowly walked toward him, every step causing space to crack and freeze.
"Runa dear, maybe lower the intensity a little so I don't freeze to death," Kent said with a small smile despite his body slowly turning into solid ice.
Runa didn't say anything. She just kept walking forward. By the time she was 30 meters from Kent, his flame core couldn't take any more, so he deactivated it.
He wasnt about to damage his flame core when he knew nothing about how the Ice element works.
ROAR
Instead, he roared to life, turning into a colossal dragon. He flapped his wings and instantly engulfed himself in fire.
That move increased his body temperature, allowing him to last a little longer. His dragon body is much stronger than his human body and can withstand ice better.
Of course, since he is now a dragon, regardless of the form he is in, he would always be a dragon. But in his True Dragon form, he holds many advantages.
However, by the time Runa was 10 meters from him, he couldn't withstand it. However, from sheer will, he remained standing, his colossal dragon body almost frozen solid.
Eventually, Kent's vision started turning blurry. However, he willed himself to remain conscious. There is something strange about Runa's behaviour, so he wants to experience it all.
Soon, Runa stood right before him. Kent turned back to his humanoid form, but with his wings active.
Runa cupped his cheeks and kissed him. Then, seeing he couldn't hold on much longer, she whispered something in his ear before pushing him.
"Don't fail, my love." Kent fell backwards, and just before he landed on the ground, a portal opened and took him away.
Right when he was gone, the coldness and storm dispersed, leaving only a stunning beauty with a cute little smile on her face.
[Are you sure about this, Aelthyr?] A voice suddenly entered her head, causing the smile on her face to brighten.
'He is my husband, Miryssa. So of course I trust him, and I know he won't die.'
[Tch. Whatever]
Runa chuckled too and lifted her head to look at the sky... "I am back."
