Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1328: The Sixth Floor - The Nine-Headed Flaming Lion (3)

[Two Days Later]

The beast was sealed only 30 km away from the Fire Country's main capital after it had rampaged through over a dozen smaller cities.

Because of this, over a hundred thousand warriors had gathered at the entrance of the city, since there was only an hour before the seal was broken.

The majority of these warriors are Peak Heavenly Ascension-stage cultivators who have come to kill the beast, claim the reward, and make a name for themselves.

Of course, it is the perfect time to farm for fame. The beast is far more deadly than any beast they have ever faced, and as such, they want to use it to rise above many.

Unfortunately for them, in an hour, they would all see the horror they planned to use as a stepping stone.

Alina and her team were seated on the side — well, Veydris is standing on the side, his expression straight and bland. Many keep looking at him, wondering whether he is a doll or a person.

However, since none dare come forward to ask, they keep looking. Alina and her teammates are meeting to discuss how to approach this issue.

"Lilian, since your ice is not an absolute ice, it would have little to no effect on the beast, so we will be fighting fire with fire. This means all your spells should be fire-based." Lilian nodded, already aware of the limitations of her ice element.

No matter how monstrous she is, she cannot effectively fight absolute flame with perfect harmony stage ice. It is just not possible, so she had to tap into her flame element.

"Once the battle begins, Aetheris and Velyra would draw its attention for three seconds for me to open three formations.

The first formation will contain it as the big sister instructed. The second formation would allow me to spot openings and weaknesses in its defence, and the third would grant you both speed and stamina. It would also speed up your healing and enemy recovery.

Once all formations are active, Lilian would start distracting it while Aetheris and Velyra go in hard and make sure you injure it. Once that happens, Velyra, you must make the best of it. Even if to slow it down, put your all into it.

The rest, however, would depend on Veydris and me. I have been working on some combat formations since I hit a roadblock with my Battlefield Matrix Formation.

Using it on this beast seems like the best thing. It would even help me fine-tune it some more and make it better for future battles."

Lilian and the others nodded. They are happy to have Alina as their leader since they know what she is capable of. If she put her mind to it, she alone would be enough to handle this beast.

"Let's get this done as fast as possible. We still have 31 more floors to climb and less than eleven years to do that, so we must hurry."

They nodded but remained seated.

A few minutes later, four people, each radiating the aura of seasoned warriors, appeared in the air. They are the leaders of the various countries on Planet Gana.

The one with red hair is the Fire King, while the brown-haired lady is the Earth Queen, the silver-haired beauty is the Ice Empress, and the blue-haired handsome man is the Water King.

They came together to create the seal that trapped the nine-headed flaming lion for the past two weeks. Although it wasn't their country under attack, they came to help the Fire King because they knew that once the Fire Country fell, they would be next.

So they brought their finest warriors over to help handle the monster before it becomes an unstoppable plague.

The Fire King started to speak:

"Thank you all for coming on such short notice. As you all know, in a couple of minutes, the beast that had rampaged through my kingdom will break free and attack.

I plead with you all to join me, and let's vanquish this threat before it becomes unstoppable. And as promised, when this is done, your rewards will be generous.

I don't want to say much, but all I ask is your help to save the Fire Country and save the entire world."

The warriors there started bragging, making all kinds of bold claims, and some even asked to be given the first chance to take on the beast.

Naturally, they want the rewards promised, and even better, they want to have it all if they end up being the ones to kill the beast.

Alina and her team remained at the back, paying these people no attention. In a few minutes, they would all run with their tails tucked between their legs.

As expected, about 20 minutes later, a powerful heat suddenly enveloped everyone, leaving many turning pale.

The Fire King spoke again...

"The moment has come, let's all move out." He and the other leaders began flying toward the seal's location. Many followed, but some remained in the back, clearly not planning on joining the battle.

Just the heat had made them lose their resolve. If they met the beast, they would probably shit their pants.

"Let's go," Alina said, and the four of them moved while Veydris slipped into the void.

Thirty kilometres away, a large crack had appeared in the air, releasing so much heat that it compelled many to stop several kilometres away from the crack.

"Looks like we wouldn't have to worry about getting a spot; many have already disqualified themselves," Lilian said when they were just 3 km away. In front of them, only a few warriors remained, most being warriors from the Fire Country.

The heat isn't that hot, but the pressure it contains is what many fear. They can tell the danger coming isn't one they can handle. However, they also didn't want to look weak, so they stopped and continued watching.

Suddenly, another crack appeared, and more heat came from within. This time, many started stepping back, some already distancing themselves further.

Suddenly, a third crack appeared, and with it, more appeared, completely shattering the seal and throwing dust and smoke into the air.

ROAR

Nine distinct roars spread across the area, sending many running like rats. When the smoke cleared, a 120-meter-tall lion with nine terrifying heads was revealed, causing everyone, Alina's team included, to suck in a cold breath.

"Well, looks like we have our work cut out for us," Alina muttered.

"ATTACK!"

The Fire King gave the command, but to everyone's shock, only a handful rushed forward, showing what he had feared. Many came with expectations, but when they saw the horror they had to deal with, they panicked and ran.

The handful who attacked were he, the leaders from the other countries, and a few of the warriors. Even his own fire warriors panicked, some even running back.

"Any moment now," Velyra said, watching as some warriors were sent flying back, their bodies burnt in more than one place.

In less than a minute, it became clear that the battle was lost. Two weeks ago, it was only 45 meters tall. Now, it had become a monster standing 120 meters tall. That is just not something they can fight.

Luckily, Alina and her team made their move. "Let's get it down."
