Just as the sword was about to reach him, the eyes of the Enlightened One glowed, and in the next instant, time itself froze.
The Leader of the Masked Race widened his eyes as he realized he was incapable of pushing his sword forward. The resistance was absolute. Before he could even process what was happening, the space around him began to twist and collapse inward.
In the blink of an eye, he was sealed inside a massive, pitch-black cage.
"Negation Coffin," the Ancient One's voice echoed coldly.
Time resumed its flow.
The black prison trembled violently as an overwhelming power surged within it—the power to negate existence itself, combined with crushing forces comparable to countless black holes compressed into a single point.
Zuko's eyes widened as the power assaulted him from every direction, twisting not only his flesh but the very atoms that formed his body and particles of his soul.
Overwhelming durability was one of the key gifts of the Masked Race, and Zuko's physique stood at its pinnacle. Even so, it was not enough this time.
Blood began leaking from every orifice of his body, as he felt his organs twist inside him.
He needed to escape—but the Negation Coffin had no up or down, no inside or outside. It was an empty dimension filled only with annihilation, where negation forces struck him relentlessly, each second growing stronger and more oppressive.
The shadow of death loomed over the Leader of the Masked Race.
Yet he did not lose his composure.
Taking a deep breath, Zuko raised his hand to his face. In the next instant, his finger pierced directly into his own skull.
The Ancient One felt the crushing of Zuko's existence, and a cold, bloody smile appeared on his face. This was an attack he had long prepared for the Demon King himself. A prison without space, where the body would be pulverized until nothing remained, where even the regeneration of the leader of the True Depravitas would prove useless.
Everything was proceeding exactly as planned.
Then—
"CRACK."
A fracture appeared across the surface of the Negation Coffin.
Before the Ancient One could react, cracks spread wildly, and the black cage shattered into countless fragments. The prison exploded apart, revealing Zuko standing at its center.
A mask now covered his face.
And his aura erupted.
The power pouring from the Leader of the Masked Race surged higher than ever before, violent and overwhelming. The Ancient One's body trembled violently as blood leaked from his eyes, the backlash of having his supreme ability shattered so forcefully, tearing through his body and soul.
But that was the least of his worries.
Zuko did not hesitate for even a fraction of a second.
His sword flashed.
The Ancient One summoned his tentacles in desperation, using them to shield himself while constantly retreating, struggling to suppress the horrifying backlash raging within his being. Yet the power Zuko wielded after releasing his Mask was terrifying.
The tentacles were blasted aside.
Zuko's blade carved through flesh, energy, and spirit alike. Each strike cut impossibly deep, reaching bone and beyond, severing not just physical matter but the very flow of power within the Ancient One. Every blow reverberated straight into his core.
Wound after wound opened across the Ancient One's body, blood spreading across the sky.
Finally, Zuko unleashed a strike so devastating that it nearly split the Ancient One in two, carving deep into his chest and sending his figure crashing into the ground with cataclysmic force.
The Leader of the Masked Race hovered above, eyes cold and merciless, ready to finish the job.
Yet just as he was about to dive into the crater, his instincts screamed danger.
Zuko halted mid-advance.
His gaze grew solemn as the dust settled, revealing the Ancient One rising once more from the shattered ground. The Power of Negation flowed across his body, mending his physical wounds with unnatural precision, though the damage to his energy and soul remained unmistakable.
Yet something was wrong.
The Ancient One's aura continued to rise—higher and higher—until, under Zuko's shocked gaze, wings of white plasma erupted from his back.
Zuko's grip tightened around his sword.
From those wings, he felt an extremely dangerous power—something far beyond what the Ancient One had shown before. His eyes widened as the wings fused into the surrounding space itself and the Matrix of the island manifested.
The Ancient One stared at the Leader of the Masked Race, his eyes transforming into a vast ocean of white light, a gaze that promised absolute erasure.
"Time to finish this."

Elsewhere, Meylin and the Enlightened One stood facing a Neo-Angel.
Their enemy was Parmeto, a humanoid figure wielding a massive drill that nearly dwarfed his own body. The three combatants were covered in wounds, and the battlefield around them was shattered after almost an hour of relentless combat. All of them were approaching their breaking point.
As they launched themselves forward once more, intent on ending the fight, the laws of Origin Island trembled violently. A vast surge of energy rippled across the island, the power so immense that it resonated through every layer of existence.
Parmeto froze in shock.
It was the first time he had ever felt the laws themselves react so violently.
Unfortunately for the Neo-Angel, the True Depravita of Origin Sin and the Enlightened One were already used to that. They maintained their focus and immediately took advantage of the opening.
Meylin unleashed the full power of Redemption Incarnation.
Her swords pierced straight into Parmeto's body, paralyzing him completely. In the same instant, the Enlightened One swung his staff with all his strength, smashing it directly into Parmeto's head.
The Neo-Angel's eyes widened in horror.
There was nothing he could do.
The weapon detonated upon impact, blasting his head, obliterating his soul, and forcing his True Name to flee.
Wide smiles appeared on the faces of Meylin and the Enlightened One as the Neo-Angel fell. Though Parmeto had only been an Early Alpha-Omega Overgod, his defeat still mattered.
One less enemy.
One step closer to their goal.
