The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2336: The Eternity Gate and the Scarlet Throne

Meylin was not one to waste resources. Once the paralysis was no longer needed, her swords began to devour the life force and essence of the Neo-Angel they had just killed.

A satisfied smile appeared on the woman's face as she deactivated Redemption Incarnation and used the power of their enemy to restore her power and push her cultivation forward. Then, together with the Enlightened One, she turned toward the origin of the sudden burst of energy that had reverberated through the laws themselves.

"That was Cain's Power of Chaos, right?" the Enlightened One asked.

Meylin frowned slightly as she heard the question. At first, the energy had felt identical, but after analyzing it more closely, she sensed subtle differences.

"It's similar," she replied slowly, "but something is off. Besides, its power seemed greater."

The Enlightened One nodded in agreement with the assessment of the True Depravita of Origin Sin.

"Maybe he has grown stronger, and his ability has evolved," he said. "Besides, the rules and laws of this place are different from those of the rest of the Crimson World. That could explain the difference."

Meylin understood the logic behind his words, yet the faint sense of unease remained.

"Let's move."

After devouring every remaining trace of vitality and energy from the Neo-Angel's corpse, Meylin and the Enlightened One advanced. Thanks to the power of the Flow, they could feel the core of the island with increasing clarity. The energy gathered there was unlike anything they had encountered before—dense, profound, and carrying an authority that pressed down on their senses.

The duo could not even imagine just how imposing the Eternity Gate of the King of the Crimson World was

"ARGHHHH!"

A scream of agony echoed across a mountain range as Cain's sword carved through the chest of a Neo-Angel wielding a massive bow. Her name was Auri. Although she was only an Early Alpha-Omega Overgod, her ability to dominate the battlefield made her a nightmare to face.

Every arrow she fired was capable of constant teleportation, making their trajectories impossible to predict. She could even switch positions with them, hiding her presence to such a degree that only the Power of Chaos could detect her movements. Cain had been fighting her for over an hour before finally managing to reach her.

Knowing he might not get another chance, Cain poured everything he had into that strike, nearly bisecting her body.

Just as he was about to pierce her head and paralyze her, Auri's eyes glowed. Her body exploded into hundreds of droplets of blood that scattered in every direction.

Cain frowned.

If he unleashed the full might of the Power of Chaos, he could destroy every single drop of blood—but doing so would not be wise.

"She's too wounded to fight anytime soon. It's not worth the backlash."

He nodded to himself, allowing the woman to escape as he focused on stabilizing his injuries. Without wasting time, Cain continued forward.

A menacing light appeared in his eyes as he recalled the ripple that had surged across the Matrix of Origin Island. It was a deeply disturbing event. Cain could not understand how someone else had been able to cause it.

Aside from himself—and the entity that had taken control of his body against Dark Sky and the Root—this was a power he believed no one else could wield.

"Speculation will not lead me anywhere." Tossing those worries to the back of his mind, he pressed onward.

Soon, the density and might of the energy became so clear and overwhelming that even without relying on the Flow or the Power of Chaos, Cain could tell he had reached the island's core. However, as he gazed upon it, a complex expression appeared on his face.

Before him stretched a vast grassland, golden wheat flowing gently in the wind. At its center stood a massive pyramid with nine distinct levels.

Cain frowned.

It made no sense.

His senses clearly indicated that this was the core of the island. The energy and rules flowing from this place were the strongest of all, yet there was nothing else—no guardians, no barriers, no hidden structures.

Without losing focus, Cain walked toward the pyramid.

The moment he stepped onto the first stair, his eyes widened.

He froze.

It was as if the totality of the rules and energy that formed the First Realm of the Crimson World had manifested before him. The force arrived abruptly, nearly overloading Cain's soul. For a brief instant, his consciousness trembled under the sheer weight of it.

Then, he adapted.

This was not unfamiliar.

When he fused the landmass of the First Realm, the powers of the realm had flowed into his body and soul. While the insight contained within this step was far more vast, it was not more intense than what he had endured before.

Cain took a deep breath and sat down on the step, allowing the knowledge and insight to engrave themselves into his mind, soul, and body.

Time passed.

An hour later, the knowledge and insight were fully assimilated. The mystery and wonder of the First Realm of the Crimson World fused into Cain completely.

Of course, these were insights—not raw energies. His direct power did not increase. However, his True Name was nurtured, and his foundation was greatly strengthened.

That was not all.

With these insights, Cain felt the fusion of the Blue Matrix take another step forward within his Neo-Demon Core, growing closer and closer to a true transcendental evolution.

These were terrifying developments, yet Cain pushed them to the back of his mind.

Because after completing the first step, the peak of the pyramid was no longer empty.

A massive red gate now stood there.

It towered above everything else, majestic and awe-inspiring, radiating an aura of wonder and might. It felt as though whatever lay beyond it held mysteries and power that defied reason itself.

Even more shocking was the reaction within Cain.

His Scarlet Throne trembled violently for a brief moment, as if resonating with the Eternity Gate of the King of the Crimson World.
