A customer who had been at the door paused when he heard the Elder say that. The kindly Elder Forsham, the Peak Immortal who kept order in the Clan, actually enjoyed watching them turn on each other, just to see whose personality was actually bad?
That was not what he had expected at all.
Karl was not at all shocked. After all, he knew Opal and Cara, and they both lived for drama. Once the butterfly advanced, he would have to introduce her to the Elders.
If they liked to watch Immortals turning on each other, they would love her romantic dramas.
The Elders left as the next group of customers came in, and Karl set the spear against the wall as he processed orders. He knew that Dana would be here soon, and he was hoping to give her a bit of time to get curious about the spear before handing it over, instead of making it a surprise gift.
She arrived after breakfast, and with a much larger group than Karl had been expecting.
Jin's whole adventuring team was with her, as well as Geoff and Nyan.
"Karl, good morning. How was night shift in the Alchemy Hall?" She asked.
"Wonderful. I actually got time to meditate and craft."
"I felt that. You made some sort of breakthrough. And what might that be?"
Karl smiled. "An advancement gift for you. Here, try it on."
Dana caught the spear and stroked it reverently. "This is beautiful. The silver almost glows."
Most of the group nodded in agreement, but Nyan looked confused. "Glows? I would say shimmers. The colour shifts make me a bit dizzy if I stare at it too hard."
Karl laughed at her expression, and the fact that she wasn't looking away.
"It's Chaos Realm silver in colour. Those who are attuned to Chaos see it as a different colour than everyone else."
The nameplate of the item shifted as it bonded to Dana, becoming her personal weapon. But the attention of the others was no longer on the spear, but on Karl.
They had gotten to the bottom of the description, where it clearly informed them that the weapon was made by him.
"You're an Immortal Weapon Crafter? You could have told us that in advance, we would have saved more credits instead of spending them on supplies for the mission."
Karl shook his head. "I don't have a supply of weapons, I just advanced. That one is special. But once I am acclimated, I will sell some Rare Grade weapons."
The group nodded eagerly, and Jin gestured to the others. "We're taking Nyan, Geoff and a bunch of other juniors out for the day. There is an open Secret Realm not far from the Clan Compound, and we want to go harvest resources.
It's not high level, but we might be able to get enough credits to get something from you when we get back."
Karl smiled. "I always welcome a credit influx. However, I also welcome crafting and alchemy resources, so payment options can be quite flexible."
Just the thought of getting Immortal Realm plants for her garden and swamp was enough to get Remi excited.
Then, Remi felt an odd tingle in her body.
She had hit the bottleneck as well, and it was time to go blow up Azov's mountain.
No, it should be 'advance through tribulation lightning purification'.
Really, there should be a potion to solve all that hassle and mess, but she had no idea where to even start on a brew that would simulate tribulation lightning.
Fortunately, with an entrance to the Guild House through the Tiny World, she could just have Cara open a portal for her, and go straight there. This was going to be so much fun.
She had a few minutes, so she could set up a nice swamp, arrange her totems, get comfortable, and even arrange the barriers to her liking.
Karl felt Remi run away to their home world, while Button and the others in the Tiny World began planning an advancement party for her. He considered going to watch, but there were many customers here at the Alchemy Hall, and only one other cashier on duty.
The Elder wasn't joking about being shorthanded.
Dana put her spear away, and Rae came to stand beside her.
"We need to do more shopping. Where do you think is the most visible? Or do we shop from the spot we were at yesterday and hope for the best?" She asked.
"Are you talking about the best chance of finding fashion, or of you getting to stab someone again?"
"Yes?"
The customers in line laughed quietly at her response. The goth girl was nuts. But even if they hadn't made it to the trial, everyone had at least heard the story by now. She could go incorporeal if attacked, and she was actually a Blood Destruction Spider.
Not a species you wanted to mess with.
That reminded them: Where was the Chaos Badger?
Cara had actually decided to ditch class to come support Remi during her advancement. But she had brought two of her new friends with her, and Dana was rapidly calculating whether staying with Rae or dealing with the fallout of Cara stealing the children was going to be more trouble.
The clear winner was going with Rae.
If someone was going to attack them, they would be better prepared this time. But after yesterday's outcome, the chance that Karl might actually kill them would have to be factored into their calculations.
The Elders had rescued the attackers last time, but what would they do if Karl was waiting for them the next time they stepped out of the Clan compound?
And that was assuming they were successful.
The odds were that they would not be. Not when they were facing Rae and Dana at the same time. And especially not now that Dana had an Immortal Rank spear available that would clone her for combat.
That skill was incredibly overpowered, even if they couldn't use all her spells.
