Return of the Mythic Bloodline

Chapter 174: Punished by the Gods

From the moment these three beasts walked in, I already knew that I couldn't stand a chance against even one of them.

When the pink-haired woman walked closer, my survival instincts kicked in.

Focusing all the Soulforce at my feet, I bolted away from them as fast as I could.

"I need to separate them and fight them one by one using that weapon, or else everything will end here," I murmured, biting my nails while sprinting.

Within a few minutes, I covered almost hundreds of miles, consuming my Soulforce at a rapid pace.

I turned my head, found no one following me, and only then did I take a breath of relief.

"Have they given up on chasing me?" I wondered; however, I didn't slow down one bit.

"Did you ever think that a day would come when you would become the prey while others hunt you down?"

The voice of that pink-haired beast echoed from the front.

I skidded to a stop and found her standing in front of me, her arms folded.

"H-how did she reach here faster than me?"

"Wh-where are your subordinates?" I asked, swallowing hard.

"Do you think I would need their help to kill a wench?" she declared, stepping forward.

"Great. She's overconfident. I can kill her once she lets her guard down. Come closer… come closer…"

The moment she reached within range, I waved my hands, forming hundreds of sharp purple energy strings—sharper than any sword.

The strings leapt at her, cutting through the air and chopping her body into several pieces.

"Huff… huff… That's what you get for underestimating me," I chuckled, wiping the sweat from my forehead.

"What do you think you are doing?"

My whole body trembled as I heard her voice behind me.

When I turned, I found her sitting gracefully on a chair of plum blossoms, similar in design to my energy chair.

"H-how are you still alive?" I demanded. "I just chopped you into several pieces."

"Are you sure it was I that you chopped?" she asked, pointing toward where I thought I killed her.

At the pointed location, a wooden log lay chopped into several pieces.

"H-how…? Was it an illusion skill? But I didn't even see her move her hands. When did she even cast the skill?"

I had several questions and was completely confused, but I didn't let it overwhelm me.

Without wasting the opening she gave me by underestimating me, I summoned two walls of razor-sharp nets on either side of her and clapped my hands, sending them crashing in to crush her between them.

She was about to move forward to dodge the walls, but I was already prepared.

"Not so fast!"

I instantly drew another three walls at her front, back, and above, imprisoning her inside the cage.

Shockingly, her expression didn't change in the slightest even after being imprisoned.

A plum-blossom mark bloomed on her fingertip, and with a subtle flick, it swelled outward and sliced through my energy net without the slightest resistance.

"Why the hell is she so strong!" I muttered.

This time, I desperately drew several hand signs to cast my ultimate move, but before I could unleash the skill, the petal that had cut the energy net brushed past my wrist.

Shlick!

"Huh!"

Something fell to the ground, and I felt a sudden sting in my arms.

When I looked down, I found my severed hands lying on the ground.

In the next instant, blood gushed from my wrists, and a sharp, stinging pain surged through my body.

"Aghhhh!!! My hands!!!"

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I screamed in agony.

"Now do you realise the pain one feels when their hands are severed?" she asked, her glare still sharp.

I didn't reply. It wasn't silence by choice—I simply couldn't.

The agony was overwhelming, but the fear gripping my heart was far, far worse.

My mind had gone blank. My body instinctively turned, and I dashed again to run away from her.

The moment I took the first step, a similar pain surged through my legs, and I fell with a thud.

"Aghhhhhhh!!!! My legs!!!!"

"And this is the pain he felt when you cut his legs," she murmured, stepping closer.

The small petal moved again, this time heading for my neck.

I had neither the means nor the will to protect myself anymore. At that moment, I just wanted the pain to end.

I closed my eyes, accepting my fate—but suddenly, black ominous clouds gathered in the sky.

The petal stopped just before reaching my neck, and the pink-haired woman's focus shifted to the bizarre clouds.

"Why do these clouds feel familiar?" she murmured.

"It's because they are summoned by Raj, Your Majesty," the dual-haired woman replied, rising from the shadow of the tree behind me.

"This dual haired beast was already here?" I wondered, though nothing surprised me anymore.

"He can already bend nature to his will?" the pink-haired woman asked, startled.

"Your Majesty, it's not the first time he has summoned these cataclysmic clouds. I wasn't fully conscious at that time, but the same phenomenon occurred when he fought against you in the forest."

"This isn't something a person at the Low-Tier realm could do unless…" the pink-haired woman murmured, but then stopped, as if not wanting to conclude hastily.

"Pl-please tell me…" I begged between gasping breaths.

"Th-these clouds… Are they summoned by Lucifer… to fight against Theon?"

The pink-haired woman turned to me, gazed at me for a couple of seconds, and replied,

"By Theon, if you mean that black-robed man, then it's indeed true."

"Is-is that so…"

She must have realised I had already given up on living, which was why she entertained the question from me.

"I wish to witness this attack of his," she declared, turning away.

The moment she walked away, the petal that had been pointing at my neck sliced through it in one clean cut.

"Th…Theon… the Gods punished us… for all the atrocities… we committed till now…

At the end… we couldn't reach the Main Land… at least we will reach hell together…"
