Return of the Mythic Bloodline

Chapter 228: Black Raven Guild vs Silver Sword Guild?

"Wh-why do I have a seal in my memory!?" I murmured, my lips shivering and my legs shaking.

"Error! Vivi doesn't contain that information!"

"Wh-who cast this seal on me!?" I demanded.

"Error! Vivi doesn't contain that information!"

"Do you know anything!? Each time I ask you something important, you always reply with the same damn answer!" I shouted, losing my composure.

"..."

"Tsk! I'll just reach the Awakened Sage realm and find out myself!" I muttered, moving to the gym where I spent the rest of the night working out in anger.

---

Ding…

"Congratulations! You have completed Day-16 of the 30 Days Daily Challenge!

All stats +10"

"Huh! Is it already the next day?" I murmured, completely drenched in sweat from the intense workout.

I grabbed my phone to check the time. It showed 6:30 A.M., but below the clock there were 17 missed calls from Jay and 15 from Leena.

"32 missed calls!" I gasped, quickly dialing Jay's number.

Clang!

"Hello, Ja—"

"Why aren't you picking up your phone!?" Jay's loud, worried voice came from the other side. "Are you alright?"

"Ye-yeah, what would happen to me? I'm completely fine," I answered, a little taken aback.

"Didn't the Sword King beat you yesterday?"

"Huh!? How do you know that?" I answered his question with another question.

"It's all over the news. Check your phone!"

"Wait a minute," I said, hanging up.

The moment I opened the browser, the front page was flooded by numerous articles in an instant.

"Black Raven Guild vs Silver Sword Guild Final Showdown?"

"Three S-Rank Awakeners at one place!"

"Sword King Rudra beat the younger brother of Blood Demon to the verge of death!"

"What is the relationship between Raj Singh, the younger brother of Blood Demon, and the Shadow Monarch Saya?"

"Blood Demon arrived at Hastinapur with more than one hundred awakeners to take revenge for his brother!"

Sigh… "I should have guessed something like this was going to happen when all those people were taking photos and videos of us."

There were also numerous videos with similar titles uploaded on YouTube, but one of them stood out among the rest. It had been uploaded just four hours ago and already had 10.5 million views.

The video was titled: Shadow Monarch Saya fought Sword King Rudra to protect Raj Singh.

The thumbnail was even more baiting than the title. In the picture, I was leaning against the sliced car on the verge of death while Saya stood between me and Rudra.

It was obvious clickbait, but I still clicked on the video to see how much they had captured.

The video started from the moment Rudra sliced the car into two and continued until the battle between Saya and Rudra abruptly stopped. After that, the scene suddenly changed to when Aryan arrived and checked on me.

The video quality was poor, as if it had been shot from a long distance using the zoom-in feature.

The top pinned comment under the video was from the uploader. It stated:

"I noticed a lot of comments complaining about the low video quality and the sudden shift of scenes from the battle to the aftermath, so to be clear, let me explain a few things.

I shot this video from a distance of 500 metres using 100x zoom, hence the lower quality. As for the sudden scene change, I don't know why, but the five-minute clip of the fight between the Shadow Monarch and the Sword King—until Blood Demon arrived—was strangely corrupted."

After reading the comment, I relaxed a little. The world would have been thrown into an uproar if people found out that someone even stronger than S-Rank awakeners existed.

"I think the video couldn't capture the sage's appearance due to the radiation of his Soulforce," I thought inwardly as I scrolled down the comments.

"What will happen to India if S-Ranks seriously start fighting each other?"

"All of this is happening just because of that talentless fucking bastard. Why are even S-Ranks fighting over a pathetic E-Rank?"

"The creator should change his fucking camera. The most important part of the clip is corrupted -_-"

"Raj Singh is really unlucky. First, he was unconscious for five straight years, then he became a laughing stock by awakening as the first E-Rank blessed awakener, and now, just fifteen days after recovering, he was beaten to near death by the Sword King. I feel pity for the poor man lol XD"

"Sword King should be ashamed of himself. Trying to kill a patient who hasn't even fully recovered yet."

Leaving aside half the comments that were complaining about the poor video quality, most of them were blaming me for this situation. Some were standing up for me, and there were also very few negative comments about the Sword King.

I wasn't bothered even a bit by what people online barked about me. The only thing I was worried about was the slander involving Saya, which might create problems for her.

While I was scrolling through the videos, the door of the gym opened and Aryan and Sister Aisha walked in.

"Don't look into them. It's people's job to talk nonsense," Aryan said, realizing I was watching the video.

"No, I'm not bothered by it even a bit," I chuckled, wearing my T-shirt.

Aryan stepped closer and said, tapping my shoulder, "Last night, I received a call from the chairman of the Awakener's Association. He requested me to stay put on this matter. He assured me that the Sword King will publicly apologize to you for everything."

"So what did you say?" I asked.

His expression turned serious as he replied, "I said, fuck the apology."

After a brief pause, he asked, "The Sword King cannot use his mana for a week, right?"

"Hm, that's what the sage said."

Without replying, he turned back. Just as he reached the gym door, he declared, "Keep your phone charged at 12 p.m. today."

"Huh? What does he mean by that?" I thought inwardly as he and Sister Aisha had already left the gym.

Those two were trying their best to hide it from me, but I could clearly sense the bloodlust they were subconsciously emitting.

"I hope you won't do anything stupid, brother," I sighed, leaving the gym as well.
