Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience

Chapter 52: Distribution

The conflict finally reached its conclusion. The air was still filled with the stench of blood and burnt energy, as the core area of the shattered chapel lay in disarray.

Lynch returned under the towering Lost Fruit Tree, beginning to clean up the aftermath. Though they had successfully repelled the formidable enemy and retained the right to the Lost Fruit, the alliance had paid a horrific price for it.

The holder of the Light Domain, Duncan Wizard from the Truth Church, had completely fallen, leaving not even the slightest trace.

Alex, the "Polar Hunter" of the Eternal Freeze Castle, was left with a body shattered and nearly destroyed. Sophia carefully stored his faint and frail soul in a special bell-shaped witchcraft inscribed with frost runes and exuding chilling air.

Sir Philis's white robe was stained with blood, his breath unsteady, clearly indicating severe internal disturbances.

"Frost Sage" Sophia herself was pale as paper, the wounds on her soul making her gaze appear somewhat scattered, yet she still held on strongly.

The youngest, Lilia, was curled up beside the revertible toad Magi, hands still tightly covering her ears, her petite body occasionally trembling, evidently still not recovered from the mental shock of the resentful spirits.

Even those who appeared in the best condition, Space and Vanilla, were spent forces. Just as they returned to the relatively safe shade of the fruit tree, Vanilla, who had been barely holding on, could no longer suppress her injuries, spitting out a mouthful of clotted blood, her eyes blackening, and collapsing directly, only to be caught in time by Space beside her.

Looking around, there was truly no one in the whole alliance left unscathed!

"In this state…" Lynch sighed inwardly, "It's fortunate that I didn't rashly pursue Alfred just now…"

This is the brutal manifestation of the chasm between Domain and Rules! If he hadn't timely acquired the Rule Power, they all might have been buried here today.

At this moment, the only one who still maintained a relatively intact state and sufficient combat power was Lynch, who mainly focused on breaking Arrays and was not involved in the direct rule battle.

In the shadow cast by the Lost Fruit Tree, the survivors were silently adjusting their breath and treating their wounds.

Sophia, enduring the soul-rending pain, took out a special chain shimmering with icy blue runes, specifically for imprisoning energy, and walked toward the equally weak-breathed Lai Ou, who lay nearby.

While roughly tying Lai Ou firmly, she couldn't help but berate softly, "Lai Ou! You fool, forsaking the honor of ice and snow! To trade stance and dignity for power?! Look at what you've gained! You nearly lost your life here!"

Despite her angry tone, her hands never stopped working, still channeling a weak amount of ice energy to stabilize Lai Ou's nearly collapsing wounds. No matter what, Lai Ou was from the Land of Extreme Winter, and she needed to take him back to be dealt with by the higher-ups of the Eternal Freeze Castle.

Elsewhere, Philis, having slightly calmed the surging blood and energy within him, walked heavily over to Lynch. With a face filled with the relief and genuine gratitude of someone who had survived a catastrophe, he solemnly performed a church ritual for Lynch:

"Mr. Lynch, this time… it's truly thanks to you for pulling us back from the brink." His voice held a trace of hoarseness and lingering fear, "If you hadn't discerned the mystery of the Array at the critical moment and successfully contended with it, we would likely have all become sacrifices for Cyrus's ambition today."

Prior to the battle, their anticipated opponent was only one at the domain limit position, reinforced by the Purgatory Magic Array, with an eight-to-three advantage, they had great odds of victory. Who could have expected Cyrus to have hidden such a terrifying trump card, forcibly stepping into the Rule Domain through the bizarre "pseudo-rule grafting array"! It was a completely different dimensional level.

Realizing this, a look of struggle flashed across Philis's face, but it was quickly replaced by determination. He took a deep breath, his gaze moving over the wounded comrades before finally settling on Lynch, speaking through clenched teeth, "Mr. Lynch, being able to win this time was largely due to you; your strength and contributions are evident to all. Therefore… when the Lost Fruit matures, you should have full authority in deciding its distribution!"

Upon hearing this, Sophia, who was still meditating or treating her wounds, and Lilia, who had just regained some clarity, couldn't help but tense up, their eyes focused squarely on Lynch!

They had paid such a heavy price, comrades fallen, themselves badly injured, all for what? Wasn't it for the Lost Fruit that could greatly advance the Knowledge Law, leading to higher levels?

If Lynch were to control it all, how would it differ from their previous defiance against Cyrus's monopolization?

However, reality was cruel. At this moment, Lynch, still bolstered by the Magic Array, retained absolute power at the rule level, whereas they were mostly incapacitated, their strength reduced to a fraction. In the Wizard World, the strong are revered, let alone Lynch who had saved their lives.

For a moment, their hearts were filled with a mix of emotions; though they silently acquiesced to Philis's proposal, a trace of bitterness and helplessness surfaced deep in their eyes. They could only silently hope that Lynch wouldn't be too merciless, that he might leave them a little, enough to console their sacrifices…

But to everyone's surprise, Lynch heard the proposal and, without any hesitation, shook his head decisively.

"Sir Philis, there's no need to say that." His voice was calm yet clear, echoing through the silent ruins, "Regarding the distribution of the Lost Fruit, didn't we agree on a plan before the battle began? Since we have an agreement, how could we arbitrarily change it due to some temporary changes?"

Everyone was taken aback, almost doubting their ears.

Philis's face showed a surprised and incredulous expression: "You mean…?"

Lynch swept his gaze over the others, affirming, "Yes, no changes will be made. Everything will still be executed according to our previously agreed upon distribution plan. What's theirs will remain theirs."

After a brief silence, an indescribable mix of overwhelming joy and relief suddenly exploded in the survivors' hearts!

Their gaze on Lynch instantly filled with incredible gratitude and genuine admiration! To keep such a promise in the face of absolute power and interests, this character stood out as especially precious in the brutal Wizard World!

They continued to wait in place for several months, and once everyone had healed sufficiently, the Lost Fruit Tree began to bear fruit.

This time, the Lost Fruit amounted to a total of 108 pieces, with each person receiving 13.

Indeed, even for the fallen Duncan Wizard, Lynch did not usurp his share, instead letting Philis take it back for distribution by their Truth Church.

Though these wizards were only at the domain level, they still hailed from the Four Great Witch Realms, something Lynch could not disregard considering the forces they represented.

Occupying the Lost Fruit for momentary advantage here would be impossible, but once they left the Lost Tower, it was anyone's guess.

Having more friends rather than more enemies seemed wise!

Having already made enemies with the Land of Freedom, it would be unwise to offend the other Four Great Witch Realms, wouldn't it?

Nevertheless, Lynch did not go without any benefits.

Each person received 13 Lost Fruits, leaving an excess of 4, which everyone unanimously agreed to count as Lynch's extra reward.

The 13 Lost Fruits allocated to himself, plus these 4 extras, totaling 17 Lost Fruits—by fully absorbing these fruits, his Knowledge Law might not reach its peak, but it should be close enough, right?

Lynch was fully confident!
