Hadjer had given Gina some advice when they spoke. Hadjar was the first wife in her relationship, so she was the one who set the boundaries and rules that each woman would have to follow when they joined the relationship. Almost like the queen that controlled the chessboard around the King. She would settle fights, handle issues, and give advice to the others when they needed it. The women of Radagan all understood this concept, and it worked so well that it was normal to see a man with more than five wives, and all the wives would be friends.
Gina had still been skeptical about this whole thing since she wasn't used to it. But after seeing so much love in Riyala's eyes, Gina felt like she could try. It would have been impossible for her to accept this if Riyala had been like the other women who just wanted to have sex with Jason or the women who just wanted Jason for money. But Gina could tell that what Riyala felt was genuine. Gina walked over to Riyala, and she knelt beside her gently. She put her hand on Riyala's head, and Riyala slowly raised her head to see that Gina was giving her a kind smile. Riyala wanted to say something, but Gina raised her hand and stopped her before she spoke softly.
"This is completely new territory to me, Riyala. I've never even thought about sharing the man that I love since it's not common on Earth, and I never thought I'd be faced with a situation like this. Sigh~ Look, I won't lie to you, this is still hard for me to accept, and part of me thinks this is a mistake, but I'm willing to try to accept it. The only thing I can't accept is the thought of Jason marrying anyone else. I want to be the only one that he calls his wife, so if you want to be a part of this relationship, then you'll have to accept this one condition. I can see that you really love him, and I know that you won't do anything to hurt him or me. So, if you're willing to accept my condition, then I'll give it a try – Hey, you're already crying?"
Gina raised a hand to touch Riyala's cheeks, and Riyala felt her eyes widen when she realized that her cheeks were wet! Oh, Gina was right. She was already crying! Riyla couldn't help but chuckle miserably. She hadn't even heard everything, and she was already crying? Riyala had been going through a long period of emotionlessness all this time. Even though she knew that she couldn't feel anything for the people that she had once cared for, there was still a part of Riyala that missed what she had lost, and she felt sad for what had happened. But it was almost like all the emotions that Riyala had been looking for all this time suddenly came back to her at that moment! What Gina just told Riyala was enough to break her walls to pieces! Riyala's face scrunched up all of a sudden as the intensity of her emotions threatened to overwhelm her, and Gina was shocked when Riyala suddenly began to bawl her eyes out! She cried like a baby without any restraint, and Gina almost fell back when Riyala flew into her and pressed her face into Gina's stomach! Riyala wrapped her hands around her waist like a child holding their mother, and she cried into Gina's clothes with pure happiness!
"Thank you! Sniff~!! Thank you so much, Gina! Thank you!"
Gina smiled as Riyala's sincerity touched her heart, and she gently ran her hand over Riyala's head while telling her that she was very welcome.
….
Jason was sitting on the edge of his bed, and he was talking with his system about what he could do about the Machina and the accusations that they brought up against Earth and Radagan. Jason was looking through the memories of the Phantom that he had put on the Machina Emissary, and once Jason was done seeing everything, he cursed before telling the Phantom to return to his Alternate Dimension. According to the memories, the Phantom had only been able to follow the Machina for a few minutes after passing through the Dimensional Tear before it was repelled by a magical forcefield and killed immediately. Jason had no idea what had killed it, but he could only assume it was some sort of magical defense system that prevented foreign mana signatures from entering the world of the Machina. So Jason hadn't gotten anything useful from the Phantoms, and he now had to think of another way to get information.
Jason already knew that it would be impossible to pay the money that they were asking for. Earth wasn't under a singular ruler, and the governments were all doing their own thing, so even if Jason came up and told them that they needed to pay a certain amount of money to some foreign body that governed their Primordial Domain, it would sound like nonsense to them and it would take ages for them to figure out how to split the payment.
'I could talk to Cersai about it since he's the one in charge of interdimensional situations like this, but I don't like the idea of bringing that bastard into this.'
Jason knew that bringing the Gaia organization into this wasn't his best option, but he couldn't think of any other way to bring the world together at this moment. Gaia was the only organization that had both the intercontinental reach as well as the knowledge of the Primordial Expanse that would allow them to come up with a proper solution to this issue. The only other organization that could help was the Enforcers, but Jason didn't think the Enforcers knew enough about the Primordial Expanse. Jason sighed to calm himself, and he ran a hand over his face before deciding that he was going to sleep on this for now and figure something out later. Jason turned his attention towards the Phantoms that he had left back on Earth to look after his mother and sister, and he smiled when he saw the two of them crying while watching a telenovela on TV. Jason would never understand what the women in his life saw in these soap operas! They all had the same plot, but for some reason, Gina and the other girls couldn't get enough of them!
The Phantoms that were watching Juliet and Griselda showed that they were back in their homes. Juliet was asleep, but Griselda was awake and scrolling through her phone with a sad look on her face while hugging a pillow to her chest. Jason frowned when he saw this, and he asked the Phantoms to tell him what happened in the press conference earlier. The Phantom told Jason that Griselda had been overwhelmed by the sheer number of journalists who came for the event, and things had escalated into a one-sided screaming match. Griselda had been doing well at first and she even managed to answer a few questions properly, but it ended up getting too much for her when things escalated, and Juliet had to interrupt the press conference and take Griselda out of there. Jason listened to the Phantom with a curious look in his eyes. His elbows were resting on his knees, and he was staring at the ground as he got a good idea of how things had gone.
Apparently, Jason's reveal of his powers was not as widely accepted as Jason thought it would be. The media had gotten hold of Jason's records from the Enforcers, and now the entire world knew that Jason was a necromancer. But even though the military and other members of the government and Enforcers were happy about the news, the superhumans and the general public were a lot more skeptical. Most people already had an image of what a necromancer was in their heads! They believed that all necromancers were evil people who harvested the souls of the dead for their own benefit while preventing them from going to the afterlife. This made religious bodies and even the nonreligious people call for a proper investigation into Jason's powers as well as various government limiters that would prevent him from using his powers on dead people! The person who was spearheading this movement was a journalist named Darius who worked with the Riverdale Daily News Channel. Darius was one of the leading bloggers for the channel, and he had already published various news articles that branded Jason as a danger to every superhuman who was putting their lives on the line! In Darius's opinion, Jason was a devil that could extract the souls of superhumans and force them to continue fighting even after they die! That wasn't something they could allow in human society, and if Jason wanted to keep working as a superhuman, he needed to sign agreements to prevent unchecked resurrections!
