Chapter 423: This Was too Easy!

It didn't matter how much it struggled; this wasn't a battle the Diamond Bear Boss could see itself winning! The Diamond Bear dodged around an attack from one of the wolves, and it charged down to the other side of the cave so that its back was facing a wall! It didn't want to be attacked from its blind spot, so it made sure all its enemies were in front of it! The Diamond Bear growled as another wolf came from the side, and it unleashed a slash to try and kill the wolf, but the Bear was suddenly hit from behind by an explosive punch that rattled its brain!

SLAM!

BOOM!

Marge jumped back as the bear roared in pain, and she fed more mana into her gauntlet while looking for another opening for an attack. Marge was a fire-type mage, and her ability allowed her to use her mana as fuel. This would have normally been a weak ability, but Marge's gauntlets had been specially made to allow her to use her ability to create massive explosions whenever she was fighting. Marge's gauntlets had a chamber that was connected to a trigger, and the gauntlets had been crafted to allow Marge to combine her fuel-type mana with a spark so that she could add more intensity to her punches by creating massive explosions! This feature allowed Marge to grow from a simple D Rank into an A Rank over the past ten years, and she was confident in her ability to defeat any monster that came her way!

Marge narrowed her eyes as she circled around the boss, and the boss felt true fear enter its heart! From what it could feel, Marge was also as strong as it, and this meant it was currently fighting against four creatures that were all powerful enough to defeat it! What in the world was this!? It was too unfair! This wasn't even a battle anymore! The bear quickly turned away from Marge, and it focused all its power on making sure it escaped from here! It knew that all its subordinates were already dead, so it just had to get out before things got too bad! The bear's skin shimmered in the dim light of the cave, and Marge was shocked when the bear suddenly vanished from sight! This was the bear's camouflage skill in action, and Marge quickly shouted to the Adamantine Ant!

"NOW!"

The Adamantine Ant wasted no time as it activated [Linear Charge], and it shot forward in the direction where the bear had been just a second ago! Marge had learned from the mobs in this Gate that even though the Diamond Bear could camouflage itself, that didn't mean it could move very quickly. So if you timed your attacks right, then you would still be able to land a critical attack on the bear before it could run away and hide! And just like Marge predicted, the Adamantine Ant slammed into the bear's side with the force of a fucking train, and a loud roar echoed through the cave as the bear was crushed against the cave wall!

BANG!

The bear immediately roared as it tried to get back on its feet, but Marge wasted no time as she unleashed another explosive punch at its head, and she moved out of the way as the Rook Rank Moonlight Wolf dashed forward with another [Linear Charge]!

BOOM!

This time, the bear was sent deep into the wall from the impact, and Marge kept her eyes fixed on the boss to see if it would move again! But the bear couldn't move at all since it had already taken too much damage from all the attacks. The diamonds on its body shimmered as it slowly became visible again, and Marge smiled in excitement when she saw the bear stagger to the side! The Adamantine Ant capitalized on this and launched another attack that finally threw the bear back into the wall, and Marge smiled happily when she saw it slump to the ground!

"We did it!"

Marge exclaimed in joy once she was sure the boss had died, and she couldn't stop herself from laughing when one of the wolves came up and started to lick her face! Marge pet the wolves gently as she thanked them for their help, and the Adamantine Ant skittered over as well as it pompously received its own thanks! It was the one that dealt the killing blow, so of course it deserved more pets than those wolves! Marge smiled and pet the Adamantine Ant as well, and she sighed as she looked at the three beasts. She suddenly didn't know why she had been so scared of them. All this time, Marge had been fighting on her own without giving the beasts any orders or teaming up with them. But now that she finally worked with them, she realized that they were just like any other summoned beast out there. They were smart and strong, and she knew that she could trust her back to them.

'I can't believe the captain just gave us so many powerful creatures. They're like summons, but they don't take any mana from us, so it's even better. Just how strong is the captain for him to be able to sustain all these monsters?'

Marge had no idea what the answer to that question was, and she didn't have time to dwell on her thoughts for long as she heard footsteps approaching, and she turned to see the rest of her team coming into the cave. They all saw that she had already killed the Boss, and they smiled and gave her high fives in congratulations! This was the easiest Orange Gate that any of them had ever been on, and there was a sense of excitement in all their hearts when they thought about how much they could accomplish in the future. The cameranun had gotten a recording of everything, and once she saw that the fighting was finished, she called out to Jason through their mental link. Jason had been sleeping beside Riyala on the bed, and he turned over in bed and gently got up when he heard the nun calling out to him. Jason shifted his focus to one of the Rooks in the cave, and he activated [King's Substitute].

"Hey guys, great job."

"Captain!?"

"Holy shit!"

The superhumans all jumped in fright when they heard Jason's voice coming from behind them, and they turned around to see Jason rubbing the back of his head while looking around with half-lidded eyes. Jason was wearing a simple pair of black joggers with a black singlet that showed off his toned physique, and all the women in the group couldn't stop their eyes from trailing over his body. It was obvious that Jason had just gotten out of bed, so there was a strange sexiness in his tired expression and lazy stance! Jason looked around at the cave, and he used his [Mana Sense] to check on all the monsters there before he smiled when he noticed that they had all been killed with minimal effort. It seemed the guild members were just too powerful for an Orange Gate.

"You guys really did a number on these monsters."

Jason said this proudly, and he saw the guild members gaining smug expressions on their faces. One of the men there chuckled and rubbed his finger under his nose as he spoke proudly.

"These bastards are nothing, captain. You should've seen us tearing through them. Light work."

Jason scoffed at the man's tone, but he knew that the man was right, so he couldn't even tell him to lower his ego. Jason spoke up with a small laugh.

"You're definitely right about that. You know, maybe sending all of you into this one Gate was overkill. Next time, I'll reduce the number and see how you guys handle that. Maybe when there's only five of you facing a hundred mobs from an Orange Gate, it'll be a better learning experience."

Many of the superhumans paled in shock when they heard Jason's words, and Marge elbowed the man who had been acting pompously in the rib and told him that he should've kept his mouth shut!
