I cleared my throat, "Ahem… Just saying… I don't think that Ira girl likes you gods very much though… So she might not even allow you to continue to exist…"

Drebann raised an eyebrow at that, "You think she would be able to achieve something like that?"

"Hey, I've seen what she had already done. Just before I came here, she somehow made a High Horror Lich work for her and set a trap for people to fall into. I still have no idea what that was supposed to achieve but if it wasn't because of the fact that we already fought monsters before, we would probably be dead in that trap. And that's already not considering the fact that she almost started a war between two countries."

"Wars are started and ended all the time so I don't really see what's the big deal, Aster. In fact, I would like to point out that you have the potential to take on an entire country on your own if you really wanted to. If anything, you are a bigger threat to this World's stability than she is."

I blinked at him, "But… I don't intend to do that?"

"That's not the point. My point is that you do have the potential to do it but just choose not to. If you just decide that you also hate us one day, you could totally just overthrow us as well."

"Huh? How? I'm pretty sure that any of you would smite me down if you wanted to."

Srii spoke up in a soft voice, "If Aster… Wants to kill the Gods… I will help you kill them all…"

As though he already knew that she would say something like that, Drebann gave me a pointed look with a single raised eyebrow.

Ok, point taken. I have the goddess of Death firmly on my side and she basically just admitted she would turn against all the other gods if I asked her to.

"Just for the record though," Drebann continued while adjusting his shirt. "I would also be on your side if you decide to claim this World for your own."

"Ok, you're being ridiculous now. There's no way I will want something like that."

"For now," Drebann muttered, almost like he was talking to himself.

Srii didn't even seem to hear him since she was just staring at me the entire time.

I raised my hand, "Welp… I really only came here to tell you guys about that girl so if you already knew about her then I guess there's nothing else for me here so I'll just--"

My hand was suddenly grabbed by Srii and she pulled my hand close to hers while she entwined her fingers with mine.

"But… You only just came Aster… It's been a while since we last met… And I miss you… Could you stay a while?"

She was even looking at me with puppy eyes.

Ugh… You can't do that Srii… If you do that… Ugghh…. Ok, ok, I'll stay for a while… What would you like to do then?

"Hug?" She asked, clearly reading my mind to answer my unasked question.

Oh? So she seems to like what I did for her the last time, eh?

Well then, who am I to say no to a Death goddess asking for some affection?

I pulled her into a hug and started patting her head gently, making soothing noises as I did so.

She let out a sigh of content and even snuggled closer to me, her face burying into the valley between my boobs while she wrapped her own arms around my back.

As I embraced her, I heard a cough coming from the side and I turned to see Drebann clearing his throat.

"As much as I like seeing Srii finally finding someone that she can be happy around… I would like to remind the both of you that this is still my domain… If you want to flirt with Aster, Srii… Could I suggest that you bring her back to your domain instead?"

I waited to see what Srii will say but she just stayed there with her face still buried in my boobs and acting like she didn't hear Drebann at all.

I grimaced at him, "Umm… Just give us five minut--"

"Ten…" Srii interrupted me immediately.

"Right umm… Just give us ten minutes?" I suggested.

He let out a sign before looking at Srii who still had her face stuffed in between my boobs, "Just remember to bring her out after you're done, alright?"

Without waiting for a response, the god disappeared into thin air.

I looked back down at Srii and I realised she was now looking up at me, our eyes meeting.

"Aster…" She whispered, like she was scared that I would run away if she spoke too loudly or something.

I'm not a deer or some herbivore, you know?

But well, I just went back to patting her head and she let out a soft purring sound underneath me.

I wasn't really keeping track of the time but eventually, Srii pulled back and looked up at me with half lidded eyes.

"Aster…"

"Yes, Srii?"

"I love you."

"Mmm… I love you as well, Srii."

"Thank you… For loving me," She answered seriously before she pointed her palm at me.

Before I could even ask her what she meant by saying something like that, I felt myself being pushed back and I woke up while still praying to the shrine of Drebann earlier.

Guess I'm back.

Wait a minute… Srii!!! Don't tell me you're going to do something drastic like killing the other gods right?! Because I don't want you to do that!! That last line of yours really felt like that was the last time I was going to see you!

A thought then popped into my head with an image of Srii, 'Ah… No. I was just thanking Aster for loving me… And since that was Drebann's domain… It would be rude if we stayed longer… Should I have brought you back to my domain instead?'

Oh, that's reassuring… I really thought you meant you were going off somewhere after that. Good to know that was not the case.

The image of Srii disappeared so I assume that she had left to return to what she was doing before this.

I looked around and I found my girls were all waiting for me at the entrance to the shrine and judging by how things looked, it doesn't seem like I was gone for very long.

"Aster! How did it go?" Lisa asked immediately since she was the first to reach me.

I shrugged, "Hard to say we achieved anything since Drebann basically told me that this Off-Worlder wouldn't even be the first to try and take over the World or to overthrow them… So they don't see her as a big deal. And apparently they'll just deal with her if she does manage to challenge them so we don't even need to worry about her."

"Ah… Well that should be expected…" Lisa admitted with a wry smile. "There are many others who also tried and failed in the past. History has records of some of them who were said to come close to challenging the Gods but then only to fail spectacularly in the end. They were basically used as precautionary tales."

Huh… I'm surprised I never heard about this until today… I guess this was something that people already know about but just don't talk about in public.

Which actually made me curious about something…

I turned to the rest of my girls, "Just out of curiosity… What would you all do if I suddenly called all of you to arm ourselves and take down the gods?"

Odeta let out a bark of laughter, "Wahahaha! That's simple, Sister Aster! We'll just follow you to fight against the Gods too! If Sister Aster wants to become the Goddess of this World, we'll fight for you!"

Minnera scratched her chin, "But she's already a Goddess though? We all believe she's a Goddess, right?"

Lisa giggled, "That's right, Aster is my Goddess~"

No, no… I'm pretty sure your goddess is Hiandoca, Lisa. Please don't just renounce your actual goddess in the spur of the moment. Hiandoca's going to be sad, you know?

Well, I know they're just joking around anyway so I just decided to ignore it and just move on to the next thing we need to do.

"Ahem… So… Emilia? You said that we have accommodations here?"

She perked up immediately, "Ah! That's right! Follow me, there's an inn here that we can stay in as well, Boss!"

So she really did set up an inn here…

We left the shrine behind and for a brief moment, I suddenly felt the gaze of someone on me and spun around to look at where the gaze came from, only to see no one there.
