Surprise, surprise… The lift was also a new business that Emilia had set up.
Apparently the technology was already there but it wasn't commercialised so she basically took advantage of it and made it into a business.
And when I asked… Yes, she did spread it around to various different places to make a business out of it.
I did tell her about the elevators in my old World so she also refined it a little to fit this World as well.
What I'm more surprised about is that there hadn't been some other Off-Worlder trying to do this.
I know I had mentioned this before and the girls told me that their main obstacle was the fact that these Off-Worlders lack the contacts to propagate their ideas but I would think that an Off-Worlder who really wants to do it will find a way.
Because if you think about it… You would be the pioneer of the new technology and that could make you rich.
Then again… I guess there's also the possibility that someone else will just come along and steal your ideas if you aren't able to protect it yourself.
We took the lift up to the top floor and another Trasif was there to greet us as soon as we stepped off the platform.
She bowed, "Welcome, dear guest. Welcome to the Canopy Crown Inn. Do you have a reservation?"
Emilia stepped forward, "Yes. We are here for the Dragon's room."
The Trasif straightened herself and frowned at Emilia first, right before her eyes widened when she realised who it was.
"Mi… Miss Emilia!! I… I apologise for not recognising you!! I will get the room prepared for you right away!!"
The Trasif then dashed off to the building that was carved into the tree, letting us stroll into the building on our own.
I took a moment to marvel at the design of the door frame of the inn as it looked like they had literally carved it out of the tree itself to create the entrance.
They didn't just make the entrance either but actually carved out various designs out of the wood.
Entering the lobby of the inn, I was expecting the furniture inside to also be carved out of the wood but it seems like that wasn't the case.
It looks like for the interior, they hollowed out the space and made the furniture outside before moving them in.
But for the walls and pillars, they carved it out of the original tree instead and added various designs to the carving.
The interesting part was that the tree was still alive so the wood was still growing and branches would still sprout out of some parts of the wood.
There were a few other visitors as well but pretty much all of them were Trasifs.
I leaned over to Emilia and whispered, "Are there really no other races visiting this inn at all?"
She shook her head, "There are, Boss. They are just hiding in their rooms right now."
Really? Is it really that serious? You come and visit this foreign place and you're basically stuck inside your room at night because if you don't, there's a possibility you might turn homosexual…
I thought that the people here wouldn't care about being homsexual here… Or was it bisexual?
I guess being bisexual was fine but being turned homosexual was something that was undesirable.
The female Trasif staff returned hurriedly and bowed deeply to us, "Dear guest! The room has been prepared for you! Do you have any luggage that needs to be brought to your room for you?"
Emilia shook her head, "No. There's no need to guide us, I know where it is."
The Trasif staff remained in the same position, "Yes! Thank you for visiting our establishment, Miss Emilia, Miss Aster!!"
Huh… So she also knows who I am… I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Emilia remained in the lead and guided us through the lobby of the inn, but before we could even reach the end of the lobby, a rather beautiful Trasif appeared in front of us.
At first glance I thought they might have been a female with the long flowing hair and the slit dress that showed off the cleavage and the creamy, white thigh.
But when I checked with [Screened], the gender that was displayed on the screen was 'Male'.
I'm also going to be honest… The dress showing the cleavage kind of had two small bumps that jutted forward at the palace that covered his chest so it looked like he actually had boobs.
Then I realised that it was basically his chest behind rounder than normal that made it jut out like that.
What's more, his face was round and smooth with long eyelashes and pouty, full lips, making him look especially feminine.
Seriously… I think anyone who sees him would definitely think this is a female and would be completely shocked to find out they are actually a male.
At this point, I'm just wondering why this guy doesn't just go and learn Somatomancy magic and fully transform himself into a female…
Heck, I'm also pretty sure there are potions that allow someone to fully transform themselves too, so why aren't these Trasifs making use of them?
As I was thinking about it, the woman… Err… The male Trasif smiled at me, "Hello there. If you are available, would you like to spend some time with me?"
I shook my head, "I must apologise but I'm not interested."
"Hmm… What a shame, I understand."
He turned and sauntered away, his hips swaying exaggeratedly as he walked.
Damn… I'm not going to lie… If I don't have [Screened], I might actually tap that…
…
I think I'm going to need to do my girls even more than normal tonight just to make sure I'm not going to start liking men.
We continued through the lobby and I made sure that we were out of earshot from the others in the lobby before I whispered to my girls.
"Is there any reason why the male Trasifs don't just use potions or spells to completely transform themselves to a more feminine gender instead of staying as a male?"
Lisa was the one who answered me, "They like being feminine, Aster. Not being a female. Sure, there are some who would like to be female so they would look for ways to actually change themselves to a female but most of them only just like to be feminine."
I really want to ask what's the difference because if you want to be as feminine as possible… Wouldn't just changing yourself to be a female be the most feminine thing possible?
Well… I guess these people have different ideas of how these things work or something so what do I know?
Lisa leaned closer and continued in a whisper, "Although… There are some communities within the Trasifs where they might go all the way and turn female themselves. Those are still considered moderate but some really extreme ones might try to turn any visitor into a female as well."
I frowned, "Isn't that… I don't know… Illegal or something?"
"They would make the visitor like it so much that they would want to transform into one themselves. They are a cult, basically. If you find yourself in one of these cults, you should get out of there as fast as possible."
"Eh? Is it because they would try and turn me into a full female?"
"No, it's because you might turn them into a cult around futas instead, Aster."
Eh? What does she mean by that? Does she expect me to convince them not to turn me into a full female by extolling the virtues of a futa or something?
For some reason, the other girls were nodding along like they knew what she was talking about but I was the only one that was completely lost.
Still… I think the more important part of this new information is that there are Trasifs out there that would try to make other people female… Actually…
"Were those two that we saw on the streets earlier dragging the other guy away part of the cult?" I asked.
"They belong to a less extreme one, Mistress," Katsuki answered confidently like she had those two Trasifs' profiles on hand. "They simply try to feminise people they like and will stop if the person expresses any signs of discomfort."
You're telling me that there's also a cult of Trasifs who would try to feminise you as well… I think if I was told about this first, I would already think they were crazy but hearing about the cult that would actually go all the way to change your gender first makes these guys sound reasonable instead.
I was expecting to come here and look at elves… Not find out that all of them are girl crazy and are also deep into feminisation…
Is there anywhere that I can go where the people are at least relatively normal?
