YOU BASTARD!!!!

I instinctively buffed myself and dematerialised my Shadow Sword to free my hands, pulling back my right fist to punch at his face.

The cloak around him shifted and my punch was intercepted by the shadow, my fist sinking into the darkness up to my wrist and leaving me stuck there like I had just punched wet cement.

I tried to pull my fist back but I was stuck in the shadow, the cloak not budging at all.

He turned his head to face me with a slight tilt, as though mocking me for even trying to punch him.

That only made me more infuriated as I tried even harder to pull myself out of the darkness that was surrounding him.

How dare these shadows try to impede me?!!

I reached up with my other hand and grabbed at it with my fist, the shadows trying to pull my other hand into the darkness as well.

You want to compete with me?!

I used [Shadow Forge] to create a gauntlet made of shadows around my hand to counter this bastard's shadow. That seemed to work as my hand stopped being pulled in and I pulled at the darkness that was holding my hand down.

There was a ripping sound as I tore the shadow that was holding my hand down, ripping it away like I was tearing up a piece of paper.

"What the…" The bastard muttered.

I ignored him and formed another gauntlet over my other fist before I threw it forward and punched him across the face.

There was a loud crack as he flew away from me to crash into the tree, sinking into the wood and leaving an imprint of him on the plant.

I wasn't done yet, of course, and leapt after him.

He was in the midst of pulling himself out of the wood when I descended upon him, giving him another punch across the face and sending him flying to another tree.

I kicked off the ground and leapt after him again, punching him into the tree and leaving an even bigger dent in the wood.

I then noticed he was sinking into the shadow once again so I grabbed his collar and pulled him out to throw him up into the air.

I flared my wings and leapt into the air after him, giving him another punch to his face to send him higher up into the air.

He spun in the air, his arms flailing around as he tried uselessly to control his flight.

My wings beat against the air, shooting me upwards once more as I lifted up my leg, wrapping my knee with a knee guard using [Shadow Forge].

I flew into him and smashed my knee into his abdomen, his body bent in the shape of a 'C' before he was sent up even higher.

Once again, my wings flapped to propel me towards him and I reached out to grab his head.

I then did a flip and started diving back towards the forest floor, holding the bastard in front of me in order to smash him into the ground.

He raised his hand and swung it at me, shooting out several needles at me which, under normal circumstances, I would have tried to dodge.

But right now, I was fully intent on hurting him as much as I could so I completely ignored the needles and the projectiles struck me in the chest.

I was expecting it to at least hurt me but unexpectedly, the needles bounced off my chest without leaving a mark.

I didn't have time to wonder why as the ground was already speeding up to us and I straightened my arm right as we reached it.

There was an earth shattering boom as I smashed him into the ground, leaving a crater the size of a small house and throwing up a dust cloud from the impact.

There was a terrified cry of pain before the sound of a head being popped underneath me could be heard.

Shoving against the ground, I flipped myself back up and landed at the edge of the crater, my wings flapping to disperse the dustcloud that had formed around the hole.

Glaring inside, I sniffed with disdain at the corpse of the bastard that was now lying inside the crater, the shadowed robes around him slowly flowing down onto the ground and disappearing into the shadows.

When the darkness finally disappeared from his body, it was revealed that he was completely naked underneath.

Not content with just this, I shot a [Fire Blast] at the corpse, burning it into ash and leaving no trace of him behind.

I then turned back to where Katsuki was, my Inugami maid still standing there on her one good leg. Seems like she had already wrapped the stump with some cloth to stem the bleeding so she wasn't in immediate danger of bleeding out.

Seeing her like that again made me think that I should not have killed the guy so quickly earlier… Perhaps I should have kept him around as a punching bag or something for a few days before finally letting him die.

I rushed towards Katsuki, already materialising one of the Grand healing potions that Mother had given me.

"Katsuki! Quickly! Drink this!"

"Mistress, there is no need for--"

"What do you mean?! You lost a leg!! Quickly!"

"Mistress… You only need to attach the limb back on me and use your healing magic for it to reattach itself… There is no need for you to waste such a potion on me."

Eh? Oh. Right… Sorry, I was panicking a little…

"But wait! I just want this to be official! Even that wouldn't be a waste for me to use a Grand potion on you, Katsuki! Because you are definitely worth more than just a simple potion! I love you too much for you to remain hurt!"

"A… Ah… I umm… I love you too, Mistress… But I really don't think I am worth a potion like that…"

She did as I ordered while I went over to look for her missing foot.

I found it laying on the ground in the crater which must have dropped after the shadows disappeared from the guy.

Picking it up carefully, I quickly brought it to where Katsuki was sitting and placed the foot against her bleeding stump before I used [Heal], hoping that the limb would reconnect and restore her foot.

If it doesn't… Well… The potion is still sitting there waiting to be used.

But that didn't seem to be necessary as my magic did its thing and I watched as Katsuki's flesh knitted together, leaving no trace of it ever being cut off.

"How does it feel?" I asked, still worried.

She moved her foot a little and tapped it on the ground a few times before smiling at me, "It is perfect, Mistress."

I let out a sigh of relief before I turned to the crater that I made, only to see a couple of Trasifs peeking at me from behind a few trees.

Ah… I forgot… I was still within the town which means I basically just had a fight within the town itself and made a giant hole in one of their streets.

These Trasifs must have heard the commotion and came over to check out what was happening here.

I raised my hand, "I am so sorry… Someone came to attack us and I had to defend us from him. He was quite strong so I couldn't hold back."

They shifted their gaze to the crater on the ground.

I cleared my throat, "Ahem… Sorry, I will return this back to normal, don't worry about it."

One of them suddenly spoke up, "Hey… She's the one who saved the others that were captured by those slavers."

Another one gasped, "Oh! Wait! Was the person who attacked you related to those slavers?"

"Eh? Ah… Yes. It seems like this guy might have been the real leader of the group."

"They managed to find our town?"

"Umm… I believe he already knew the location beforehand since the slavers had set up camp nearby in preparation to attack this town… So he came here after realising his group had been destroyed."

"In that case, you protected us again! We can't make you clean this up after helping us once more! Don't worry, we'll deal with this! Thank you again for protecting us!!"

"Yeah! You're a saviour of us! We can't make you do something as menial as this!"

"That's right! Especially when it's someone as pretty as you! What will we do if you dirty those hands of yours? Just leave work like this to us!"
