Adam made his way towards the academy infirmary room, he was standing near the door and taking a deep breath.
[You look like someone who wants to propose right now]
"Shut it!"
[Alright alright ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯]
Adam opened the infirmary door and it let out a low hum as it opened, inside where his friends, they were now awake receiving final check-ups.
Inside the room was Drake, Selena, Duke, Grace and Eve.
From the previous Class S these were the only people who survived meanwhile:
Ivy, Finn, Amy, Mary and Brad have already died due to the cultists attack and also due to the betray they received from people who they thought were friends.
Adam walked into the room and they all noticed him and his changed appearance.
He had draconic horns on his forehead, dark-obsidian scales were glistening underneath his clothing and his tail was swaying left and right.
"Hey guys, are you okay?" Adam asked, there was a hint of worry in his voice.
"Yeah, we're fine bro." Duke replied, he then glanced at Adam for a while. "Meanwhile you on the other hand, have changed."
Adam looked at himself and made a light chuckle. "Yeah, I guess I have to explain this to you huh?"
"Uh huh," Selena was the one who replied this time and she was pouting. "This is a huge secret you know."
Adam sighed and walked towards them, he took a chair and say Infront of them. "Yeah, but I didn't know how to approach it. Couldn't exactly say I'm a dragon you know."
"Why the secrets," Eve asked. "We're friends, you could've told us."
"Yeah," Drake also added. "We could've kept this a secret, we wouldn't have told anyone."
Grace also nodded reaffirming their stance on the matter.
Adam just sighed, he felt guilty keeping this secret but decided to tell them anyway. "At the time I couldn't tell you, I was weak. You know cultists are everywhere and the academy is breached. If they caught a hint of what I am, they would've used every resource available to capture me. Even if it meant endangering the people close to me."
"I already lost my mother, I've only recently seen how she looks like due to her lingering soul in the necklace I always wear." Adam said this while clutching the necklace around his neck tightly.
Everyone felt the sadness in his voice when he was saying this, they now realized the burden he was carrying by himself all this time.
"I only came out now because i didn't want to hide anymore, that I didn't want to keep this a secret anymore."
Adam fell silent and didn't say anything else after that, he just waited to hear what they would say.
Selena left her bed and stood up, she went towards Adam and gave her a heartwarming hug.
"It's okay, you held a huge burden." She whispered softly. "But you don't have to deal with that alone anymore, I'm here for you. We're here for you."
"That's right! This time were fighting with you!" Drake said while pumping up his chest.
"You were never alone bro, were in this together now." Duke also added.
Grace and Eve nodded as well, both were smiling trying to reassure him.
"Thanks guys." Adam said with a smile. "But, you need to be level up and I hope the meeting tomorrow will help with that."
"Meeting?" Selena asked. "What meeting?"
"A meeting between the leaders of all races." Adam replied. "And my great grandfather the dragon emperor will be leading it."
"WHAT!!??"

They were now all discharged from the Infirmary and they could now go to their respective homes.
Selena and Adam stayed behind because Adam wanted to have some alone time with her.
[Good luck host, you might get your first girlfriend in your two lives]
'Shit it or I'll mute you'
[Hmph I'm giving you a pep talk here, I can tell you lines from a popular romance novel!]
'If you don't shut up now'
[Fine fine ಠ︵ಠ]
Adam and Selena went to a garden, it was vast and also a neutral sanctuary for the students, sometimes world leaders come here to refresh themselves when meetings have been finished.
At the heart of it is a circular white-stone plaza, the plaza was engraved with a lot of ancient runes made to suppress hostility, this was to ensure that there was no violence occuring within it.
There were many trees that were rising along the garden's perimeter, which were releasing calming mana waves that could ease the tension.
There were crystal-clear streams condensed mana that were flowing through the terraces, they were forming natural barriers that helped prevent people from eavesdropping on conversations.
Adam and Selena sat on a bench that was in the garden, they were sitting in silence for a while before Adam broke the silence.
"I thought I had lost you back then," Adam said. "When Jake attacked you."
Selena giggled. "Well I'm alive, thanks to you. So you don't need to worry now."
Adam smiled and took a deep breath. "Seeing you like that, made me finally realize that your important to me... that I don't wanna loose you."
Selena blushed a bit. "I-i don't want to loose you too, to be honest I thought I was going to die back then."
Adam held her hand and looked directly at her. "Look when the meeting is over tomorrow, let's go on a date."
"A d-date!?" Selena was shocked, she didn't expect Adam to initiate it first. He always seemed to disinterested in stuff like this.
"Yeah, I kinda have been holding this off for a while now. So it's better I do it now rather than later." He said.
"O-okay then." Selena said, her whole face was flushed.
And after that the whole day passed with them just quietly talking about stuff.

The Next Day
At the middle of all the continents, the was a place where every continent converged.
This was the Concordium of Aeons, the only place that was recognized by every race as being a neutral ground.
This place didn't resemble just a single races architecture, instead it was a harmonized monument, it was shaped by ancient magic and along with mutual concessions that were made after the Old War.
The Concordium was rising from a vast circular plateau of white-bkack stone, it was floating above several hundreds meters above the ground.
And below the structure the air was shimmering with dense mana currents, it was forming slow-moving rings of light that were keeping the platform suspended.
These currents were bound by World Law, this made the area immune to spatial collapse, teleportation interference and even large scale destruction.
The outer walls were formed from Worldstone it was a legendary material that could adapt to the presence of its visitor.
For the dragons, it appeared to be ancient and unyielding.
For the Elves, it was pulsing like it was a living tree.
To the Demons, it was radiating with oppressive authority.
To the Dwarves, it was emitting ancient runic knowledge.
To the humans, it felt like a solemn, like history itself was watching them.
And at the very center stood the Hall of Accord, it was a colossal dome that had a transparent ceiling that was revealing the sky above.
Day or night, the stars and also the sun was always visible, it was a reminder that no race can rule the heavens alone.
Inside, the hall was arranged in a perfect circle, this was symbolizing equality and there were no thrones.
The seats of each leader was carved from a material that was tied to their race:
The dragons were sitting on a crystalline platform that was formed from condensed mana.
The demons were upon an obsidian etched with binding runes.
The Elves upon a living wood that was woven with spirit threads.
The Dwarves upon a rune-forged adamant.
Humans were upon a refined white-gold alloy that was symbolizing adaptability.
And at the very center of the hall, hovered the sigils of balance. It was an ancient construct that was left behind by the Architects of the world.
This acted both as a witness and also as an enforcer. Any attempt at deception, coercion, or even violence would cause the sigil to flare, suppressing any hostile intent in an instant.
This was the place where all the races would come to decide the future of the world, it would decide wether they would act together or continue on as they were.
However this wouldn't be the case this time, since the cult has managed to infiltrate the elven kingdom and even the academy.
If such places were infiltrated that means that the defenses of other races was also breached.
Adam was standing with his great grandfather and his other envoys, this time he wouldn't be standing with the humans because they now knew that his was a dragon.
"This place looks amazing, but I don't like dealing with with politics." Adam murmured.
Adam's great grandfather just chuckled. "Well your the heir of the dragons now, so you need to learn how to do politics."
"Yeah yeah, although killing em would be better."
