Seph had left, and Casey now asked them, "You've taken care of everything?"
"I wouldn't say everything, but what we needed to do for now," Beth replied with a nod.
"And what can we help you with now?" Casey asked.
"We're going to be staying here for…a while? I don't know how long, but Laselle has something for us to do later," Beth replied, frowning slightly when she realized this vacation was becoming more and more nebulous.
"Alright, we can work with that. You are white roses, so you will have a discount-," Casey stopped mid-sentence and stared at the screen hovering above the counter.
"Casey?" Beth prodded.
"Yes, right, sorry," the young woman replied, giving herself a shake. "The Lady has put in a note on your file, which she personally opened, that you have two weeks here. The stay has been paid for."
"I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with that," Beth said slowly. "How much?"
"You have been assigned a luxury suite, which normally costs one platinum a day," Casey replied calmly, having already recovered much of her equilibrium.
Beth glanced at Blood, who just shrugged, before replying, "I don't really like owing anybody like that. We can certainly pay that much."
"Interesting to note fourteen platinum is not a problem for you," Casey replied deadpan, but Beth didn't fail to notice the slight curling of her lips. "Now, I'd like to go over a few things, if that's alright?"
"Sure," Beth said, glancing again at Blood to see them both shrugging in unison.
"Right, as this is your first time here, I need to briefly explain the rules and the structure of the place," Casey said after taking a deep breath. "First of all, there are guards quite a few places, and I'm sure it won't be hard to figure out who they are. Not that I think you'll cause trouble, but they will react immediately, and I certainly wouldn't start anything with them directly. I doubt you'll pose the problem some of our guests do, but just to re-iterate; this place is owned entirely by her Ladyship, outside of any other governing body or legal entity, including even the CRA, though they do monitor certain things. Basically, what I'm saying is that her word is law, and that can include anything and everything up to summary execution. Again, I'm not worried about you, but we have to drill it through some guests head that no, their backer isn't as strong or as influential as the Lady and acting inappropriately will have serious consequences."
Casey stopped when she saw Blood smirking slightly and Beth trying to contain a laugh. "I had thought that part would be simple for you. Was I wrong?"
"No, it's just kinda ironic," Beth replied with a grin. "There are probably only five to ten people in the whole galaxy that could challenge your Lady, and we were trained by one of them and sent here on assignment by another. It also makes your speech kinda super funny, because normally you'd have all these assholes here misbehaving thinking their parents or friends or business partners or whoever could save them and being totally wrong, while we're here to just chill for a couple weeks and our backers actually could save us, depending on how you define save."
"Well, if you fucked up, Baelvyr might say, 'Girlie got what she deserved,' or something like that," Blood commented.
"That's true," Beth said with a nod.
"Wait, Baelvyr? And he's strong enough to challenge our Lady? You don't mean Baelvyr 'The Adamantine Colossus' Kron? The one they call the 'Wall of Seven Stars?' 'The Hammer That Breaks the Dark?'" Casey asked, clearly getting starry eyed.
"I don't know about all that, but he's a huge ogre with a set of adamantine armor that's an Exalted," Beth replied with yet another shrug.
"That's it! That's him!" Casey exclaimed excitedly.
"But what's all that other stuff you called him?" Beth asked, eyebrows scrunching as she frowned slightly.
"You don't know?!" Casey cried, leaning forward with her hands on the desk and her arms straight. "Do you really know him?"
"Do you want me to call him on my communicator?" Beth asked slightly crossly.
"Could you?" Casey asked in a breathy tone.
"Casey," her co-worker said firmly.
"Sorry, sorry, I get carried away," Casey said, leaning back with a sheepish look on her face.
"That's fine, I just didn't know what you were talking about," Beth said.
"Well, The Adamantine Colossus is his Champion Sobriquet, of course, and then the others are some of his titles," Casey said, still slightly excited.
"Isn't a Champion Sobriquet something from the CRA?" Blood asked, glancing between Casey and Beth.
"Yeah, it's a name they give you if you're really strong," Beth explained.
"It's not just that! You have to be a senior member at the CRA, fight thousands of times in the arena, winning most of them, fight up in tiers and win multiple times, and display an overwhelming capability. Getting a Champion Sobriquet is really hard, so much so that it usually only happens at the Ascended level," Casey started.

"Casey-," her co-worker said again in warning.
"Sorry, sorry, I'm getting carried away again," Casey said. "Let me finish going over the rules and then we can talk about Champions."
"Sure, go ahead," Beth said with a small smile.
"Obviously, don't mess with the guards," Casey continued. "Next, don't mess with the staff without permission. We have a look and don't touch until you ask policy. Generally, if someone is working, like Brit and I are here right now, then they're off limits, and even if they're not working a shift like this, you still have to ask. Understand?"
"Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem," Beth said.
"What if someone touches you?" Blood asked.
"If it's another guest, you can refuse, of course, and if they're being problematic, just get the guards. If it's one of our workers, same deal, you can say no or delay it or anything else you want. None of the staff should be problematic, but you can also get the guards if you're having trouble with them for any reason," Casey answered.
"Okay. What else?" Beth asked.
"Her Ladyship owns the whole planet, and the area around the complex is clear of any beasts, but just be aware that if you leave the area within a few dozen miles, the rest of the world isn't fully tamed. You're responsible for your own safety outside the confines of the complex. Is that clear?"
"Also no problem," Beth said.
"Alright, that's all for the harsh stuff," Casey said with a beautiful smile. Beth had noticed before, of course, but Casey was really stunningly attractive by any metric. She continued, "Now, for the less harsh and more fun stuff. Different suites have different amenities and the luxury suites are no exception. You will have a full kitchen with food and drinks, including alcoholic drinks, provided in the suite. There are also quite a few restaurants and stores in the complex, some of which are complementary and some of which are not. They are all clearly labeled.
"As for requesting service in your room, there is a menu that you can access through the wallscreen or your communicator. I have to stress, very firmly, that rates are non-negotiable, and extremely firmly that consent is absolutely sacred. Whatever you're into, we have people to take care of it, but boundaries will clearly be set, and never, ever, try to cross them. Is that clear?"
"Crystal," said Beth, not necessarily even intending to make use of that feature.
"What kinda price are we talking?" Blood asked.
"Blood?" Beth said with a slightly raised eyebrow.
"What? I'm curious."
"Well, don't let me stop you," Beth shrugged.
"Prices vary widely, as you'll soon see. Apart from that," Casey said, looking back and forth between the two, "try not to cause any disturbances in the common areas. It's all a matter of decorum. Any other questions?"
"Not from me," Beth said, just wanting to get to the room.
"Nope," said Blood.
"Then let me give you your keys," Casey said. "These will last for the exact amount of time you have the room booked, so try not to leave anything in the room right at the last minute. If you have any problems with the keys or the rooms, please come to the desk here."
She handed them each a small gem that had runes carved across every surface. Beth inspected it closely, only recognizing one or two of the many runes. She put it in her necklace right afterwards, mimicking what Blood had done right away. Afterwards, Casey moved around the counter and led them out of the lobby, turning to the right and heading down one of the broad hallways.
As they walked for a minute, they rounded a corner to see a bit of an unusual sight, Beth stopping dead after taking a couple steps, though it wasn't from the oddness. What had brought her up short was the most beautiful individual person Beth had ever seen, and she'd already seen plenty on her travels. Walking down the hall towards them was a tall, very tall, woman who clearly had some kind of reptilian lineage based on the fact she had black scales at her throat, shoulders, wrists, around the edges of her breasts (particularly underneath), hips, knees, and ankles. Beth could see it quite well because the only two things the woman was wearing were a half-jacket with short sleeves, open in the front to reveal a truly massive set of breasts swaying and bouncing as she confidently sauntered forward, though somehow never revealing a hint of even areola, and a high-waisted bottom piece that looked like a high-end swimsuit bottom. The reptilian heritage was made all the more obvious by her black, sweptback horns that started just behind her temples and curved back along the upper edges of her skull before flaring slightly outward and upward to very sharp points, as well as her long tail, covered in gleaming black scales and likely stretching more than eight feet in length, though that was just an estimate Beth's addled brain tossed out.
She couldn't peel her eyes from the woman, especially her intense, electric gaze, with shimmering purple irises and dark golden pupils in the shape of hexagons creating a mesmerizing effect. The woman slowly strolled up to Beth, seemingly finding great amusement in her stunned state, Beth taking a few seconds to process the tapping sounds she was hearing originated from the long, sharp claws on the woman's bare feet. That led her to glance at the lady's broad, long-fingered hands, noting that she was sporting a set of incredibly sharp claws there as well.
"My, my, what do we have here? You've got another rare beauty, Casey? I'm jealous," the woman said, striding right up to Beth.
"I'm just showing her to her room," Casey replied with a small smirk.
"Then, don't mind if I do," the woman said, taking another step forward and leaning down to kiss Beth right on the lips. It was only as she had gotten close that Beth realized the woman really was tall, likely five or six inches taller than Blood, who was several inches taller than Beth. With Beth standing just a hair over six feet, that put the woman close to seven feet tall in her bare feet, not including her horns.
The kiss was the most electric thing Beth had ever felt. She had kissed Sabs quite a bit, and even kissed Blood once or twice, though in a far less intimate manner, but this was on a whole different level. It felt like a bolt of lightning had blasted from the woman's lips, straight down Beth's spine, then back up and directly into the center of her brain. It just felt so…so right! Like it was the most natural and perfect kiss in the entire world. It was a feeling she had never had, a feeling that might even be better than that first orgasm that first night with Sabs. It was so unbelieveable that Beth actively felt her brain shorting out, and she reflexively scanned her body with Lordly Reconstruction to make sure this wasn't an attack. It turns out it absolutely wasn't, just the best kiss Beth could ever possibly dream of in her life, and stretched on for what felt an eternity, but was likely only a handful of seconds.
When the reptilian woman broke the kiss Beth could see, just for a second, an echoed look of shock in her eyes at what they had just shared. She recovered her equanimity far quicker, however, and gave Beth a sultry smile and a little flick under the chin with one claw, likely trying to shut Beth's gaping mouth, before sauntering off. Beth barely had the presence of mind to turn and watch her walk away, noting the view from the back was just as good as the view from the front. She hadn't even known it was possible to have a butt that big, not to mention that pert and shapely. She stared even after the woman as she rounded the corner, only being roused when Blood smacked her hard enough it would've killed a lesser person. It just made her very slightly grunt, though Casey winced at the noise and aftershock of the impact.
"Please, watch the violence in the common areas," she reprimanded mildly.
"Sorry," Blood said in a very unapologetic manner.
"Who the actual fuck was that?" Beth hissed, rounding on Casey with an intent, and pleading, stare.
"That was one of our current biggest draws," Casey said with a grin. "Her full name is, uh, something that's super hard to remember and even harder to pronounce. It's like, uh, Seraphill-, uh, no, it's more like Seraphinne, uh, no, that's not it. Anyway, she just goes by Sera, and she's one of the younger members of the latest generation of the black dragon clan. The black dragon clan is the strongest of the dragon clans, at least in the Milky Way, and she's supposed to be some kind of big shot over there."
"What the hell is someone like that not just doing here, but working here?" Beth asked, brow scrunched in confusion.
"I don't know the whole thing, and she doesn't mind talking about it, so you should ask her, but I think it was a bet," Casey said.
"A bet? Someone like that is working at a, forgive the language if it's rude, brothel because of a bet?" Blood asked, confusion also evident in her slight frown and the flicking of her ears.
"Yeah, she's just like that," Casey said with a shrug. "I wouldn't really call her a rebel, but she's definitely a carefree spirit and she usually marches to the beat of her own drum. I get the feeling, from the talk I've heard, that she makes her elders roll their eyes at her antics, and frequently. She apparently dueled someone who she's had issues with in the past and the bet from her side was equally big, though I don't remember what it was. If she lost, however, she had to come work here for five years. It was supposed to be humiliating and to halt her advance, but she actually seems to like it. Who knew?"
At the same time that Casey was initially explaining her, Sera had walked around the corner of the hall, cool as a cucumber. As soon as she was out of sight, however, she stepped over and leaned against the wall, trying to recover her balance. Despite the cool façade she had shown, that had been the best damn kiss of her life, and she had done an awful lot of kissing in her fairly short life. Something like liquid fire had shot through her veins when she kissed that new customer, a feeling she had never had, and she was still trying to get her breath back and center herself. She stayed against the wall for a minute, able to faintly hear Casey mostly correctly summarizing how Sera had wound up there, unconsciously touching two fingers of her left hand to her lips, as if to imprint the kiss there.
