As Luna dashed forwards with incredible speed a illusory copy of her moved forwards too, it was a bit blurry and easy to make out as an illusion if one paid it any attention. Yet it still caused a moment of distraction to the snake that she charged. The real Luna moved to the right whilst the illusion went to the left, the snake realising the trick lashed down onto her real body.

Luna seemed to sway slightly causing the snake to tilt its lunge allowing her to narrowly avoid the attack. Not missing the chance she swung her ice glave in an upwards arc, Arctic mist trailing in its wake. Her attack did cut through the molten scales of the beast yet only just, still the hit seemed to enrage the snake even more and its tail lashed out to try and slam into her.

With a single step she appeared behind the rapidly moving tail with a whisper of void and ice. Instantly she once more struck the snake across its side, she managed to get a couple of hits in this time before she had to dash backwards as the snake unhinged its jaw slightly as a stream of magma surged out in her direction.

Her illusion moved forwards towards the snake whilst she moved backwards, at the same time she tried to form a barrier out of the Arctic ice that surrounded her. The snake quickly identified the real version after a moment and the stream of magma rapidly moved in her direction. A burst of steam exploded out as the molten rock impacted with the ice barrier, the barrier itself exploding from the expulsion of steam sending Luna flying back to impact into a nearby boulder.

With a groan Luna righted herself and looked up only to see a now foggy battlefield and the head of an angry snake glaring at her from within.

Grinning now Luna stepped forward and appeared besides the angry snake and struck out with her glave once more, each strike dealing slightly more damage than that last as her chain strike slowly built up its charges.

Violets battle started with her moving away from her companion and her foe before she activated her new void barrage. Around a dozen bolts formed in mere moments before being launched forwards towards the molten snake.

A barrier of lava rose up from the rocky ground blocking most of the attack, yet it still crumbled as the first barrage ended. Humming to herself Violet tried to multi cast her barrage and smiled as over 20 bolts formed around her. The snakes eyes narrowed as it glared back at the dragon across from it before 3 large javelins of lava began to form around the snake in response.

With a smile Violet realised that her opponent was a mage herself! She so rarely got to fight against another beast focused on magic so this was not an opportunity that she would want to miss.

Simultaneously both beasts launched their attacks towards each other, Violet directing half of the bolts to try and intercept the incoming projectiles. Yet her eyes widened as the javelins split apart mid air to form a myriad of molten bolts that flew towards her, around half of the bolts were impacted by her own yet the rest flew true heading right towards her.

Violet quickly summoned a void shield before her, a moment later opting to multicast a second one right behind the first. She was glad that she did that as the first was quickly destroyed under the molten onslaught, the second shield also failed, yet only a single bolt got through her defense before it impacted her. Thankfully her void absorbed most of the magical impact, she still suffered the physical impact of a bolt of molten rock striking her and grunted at the impact.

Looking up she saw that the snake was now missing a chunk of its scales from its side where at least one of her own bolts reached it.

Her mouth curled up, showcasing her fangs. The action was mirrored by the snake as it summoned forth more projectiles to fling at the dragon opposing it. Violet in turn summoned forth two of her upgraded spears and sent them forwards. The snake similarly sent its arrays of javelins and bolts towards her and a moment later it summoned a barrier of lava to block Violet's attack.

Violet meanwhile did not bother creating a defense and instead opted to simply vanish from her spot. The sensation was strange for Violet, as she could only vaugely sense the outside world, she was in a strange distorted space that resembled her previous surroundings.

Yet it all seemed… off slightly. A pressure was also being exerted on her, it steadily grew the longer she stayed within this space and she knew that she would have to leave soon.

Still she held out for a few more moments as the snakes attackes flew through the space she previously occupied, only then did she pop back into the real world. As for violets attacks? Well when they impacted the raised defences of the snake, they punched through with hardly any resistance. They then careened into the surprised snake that did not expect its defense to be so thourgly ignored.

Both spears impacted the beast, yet it had raised its tail to take the impact so as to avoid taking it closer to its head like Violet had hoped for. Still when they imbedded into its tail and exploded bloody chunks of molten snake went flying. A war piercing hiss erupted from the now enraged snake as it was now missing the last couple meters of its body.

Luna continued to dance around her much larger foe, she regularly changed the form of her weapon. Trying to find one that she truly liked. From the glave she went to a standard longsword, then a thinner raipier which she used to easily pierce through the snakes molten scales. Next she tried a great sword as she block and tried to deflect the retaliatory tail bash.

This transitions back into a glave as she swept up leaving a deep gash into its tail. Her stacks of chain strike were adding up now and each strike she launched was dealing considerable damage to the beast, its body was littered with cuts both shallow and deep and its molten blood ran down its body in small streams.

Luna was also suffering from multiple burns and bruises yet had managed to avoid any truly damaging attacks.

When she head the piercing hiss of the other snake Luna glanced over in time to see chunks of snake flesh flying out in all directions. She smiled as she appreciated her companions strength for a moment yet frowned when her opponent also unleashed a mighty hiss of its own.

That frown soon turned into a scowl the sound of scales slithering across rock soon echoed out from all around them. Violet too noticed this and moved to get closer to Luna so they could face this next stage of the fight together.

The two large snakes too slithered back as they were soon surrounded by dozens and dozens of smaller flaming snakes.

The battle of two large snakes against a girl and her dragon had now turned into a small army against them both. With a grin that was shared between both girls they readied themselves for round two.
