Eventually the two companions, now tentative lovers? Broke apart from their embrace, each was slightly flushed but happiness radiated between the two.

Eventually the silence was broken when Violet tilted her head and asked a quite poignant question that Luna didn't quite know how to answer. "Umm so what happens next? Are we supposed to change how we act now?"

Luna opened her mouth to reply, only to pause, for she realised that she didn't actually know herself what came next. In the stories she had heard growing up wasn't that when the two lovers would return home and have children? But how did that even work? Where did the children even come from?

Luna had no idea. Yet she knew that she had to say something, right? So quickly thinking about it she eventually spoke up, deciding to just go with her gut feeling. "Umm, I don't think we need to change much. Just carry on as we have been?" She cringed slightly at how unsure she sounded. Yet Violet didn't seem to mind and only smiled in happiness and nodded her head enthusiastically, apparently quite happy with how that went.

The two sat there in companionable silence for a while longer, eventually though they were joined once more by Rhyana and Susan. The two did throw some questioning glances at the two girls yet based on the expressions each girl shared they apparently got their answers.

Soon enough the group settled down and got ready to sleep, Violet pulled out a number of furs and chose to share some with their group members. Yet she did keep the best ones for herself and Luna naturally.

In their own furs Violet and Luna cuddled up together, enjoying the closeness that they shared. Violet also decided that the strangeness of being in a humanoid form was more than made up for by the face that she could hug Luna back, so she promised to take this form as often as possible just to ensure that she could do so. It also helped that she could feel Luna's happiness as she snuggled into Violet's much softer body. She did seem to be particularly pleased when she rested her head against Violet's chest… or were they called breasts? She wasn't sure but the fact that Luna seemed to enjoy them was more than enough for the dragon to be content.

The morning soon arrived to find the party waking up just as the morning rays broke through the canopy overhead.

A quick cooking lesson from Susan later and the group was enjoying a delicious breakfast. Once finished with the food the group got up and readied themselves for a day of traveling.

Time slowly passed like this for the group. They would spend the day journeying east, at night they would find a location to set up camp and rest, only to repeat the same thing the next day. The only changes to this rhythm was the occasional fight that they would get into, either by getting ambushed or when they saw something that Violet or Luna wanted to try hunt.

The only other change was when they would inevitably come across one of the various valleys, they would ignore the smaller ones or ones that had particularly low mana levels. However, when they came across one of the truly large valleys or ones that held high mana levels, they would inevitably fly down to investigate them.

The result of this was that they would usually end up fighting the strongest beast of that valley and would spend some time hunting down any magical fruits located within.

Speaking of magical fruits both Violet and Luna finally got about to taking out their own Star fruit from the quest reward they received back in the central valley. The rewards for consuming said fruit were quite welcome, as they got a flat +10 to all stats.

Their luck with finding other stat boosting fruits was unfortunately quite low and they only found 2, which they opted to give to Susan and Rhyana, both of whom had no idea that it was even possible to find such miraculous fruits.

With the various fights that the group got into during their journey, all of them leveled up both their skills and actual level. Violet received 2 levels bringing her up to level 63, whilst Luna only received a single level bringing her up to level 64. The gap between them ever so slowly closing, much to Violet's delight and Luna's annoyance.

The two companions continued to deepen their bond between each other, even resulting in the skill gaining another level. Something which had gotten harder and harder to do over time. Still be if from spending more time openly sharing their emotions through the bond, or simply spending more time in close proximity and chatting they didn't know. But we're happy nevertheless.

During this time Violet spend more and more time in her humanoid form, even engaging in some fights using it. She found it quite challenging at first as she lacked the physical presence she had grown used to, still her strength and speed hadn't been reduced, just turned into a smaller figure.

That coupled with her void cloak providing her with enhanced claws she found it quite viable to tear through any foe that got too close to her. She did much prefer staying back and casting spells in her humanoid form however. Something that no one really minded given how powerful her spells were.

Like this two weeks passed. The group now found themselves at the edge of yet another cliff. Yet this did not lead to yet another elemental valley, no this one dictated the end of the Elemental Valleys themselves.

For before them sprawled an entirely new section of the Endless Forest. This one was dominated by wide flowing rivers and smaller lakes. The trees themselves also changed, growing slightly further apart from each other yet reaching much greater heights. These trees towered hundreds of meters into the air, each one being almost 10 meters wide. They almost matched the Star Tree for shear size, except for the fact that it was not a lone tree in a clearing but an entire ecosystem full of trees of that giant size.

And mana positively radiated from this domain, Violet and Luna were slightly awed at how dense it seemed, yet their other party members simply said that this was about average for the Endless Forest, at least from what they had seen. That truly surprised our companions for if that was true they they had truly underestimated how formidable some parts of this place could be.

Still with a new region to explore, new beasts to fight and sights to see, our companions were excited to see what they ended up running into.
