Lunaris Haven. It was afternoon.
Amon and his friends had gone back to the resort.
All of them were tired from playing so much.
Amon was lying on the bed comfortably.
When he came back, he took a bath first.
Marcus, Arnold, and Lian were already sleeping.
But Amon couldn't do that. He really wanted to go lie on the smooth bed and fall asleep.
But there was something more important that he needed to do.
That was to go on a date with Professor Adelia at three o'clock in the afternoon.
'I am kind of excited for it. Hehehe,' he thought while rolling on his bed.
How was his date going to be? Would it be romantic?
He had no idea.
Then suddenly he remembered Seraphina—the time he spent with her yesterday, and also the incident in the morning while eating watermelon.
'I was with Seraphina yesterday… and today with Professor Adelia… was my luck always this good? Hehehe… but is this okay?'
He thought for a while. His face frowned while looking at the ceiling. Then he brushed it off.
'Meh, it's not like both of them are going to fall for me. I will just enjoy the company with them.'

Amon was standing at the street where the main shopping area was. Leaning against a lamppost.
Everything about him was black: a fitted long-sleeve shirt, sleeves shoved carelessly up to his forearms, revealing sharp lines of muscle. The hem tucked neatly into low-slung black trousers that sat just right on his hips. The darkness of the fabric only made his pale skin stand out more, like moonlight on obsidian.
His black hair, still a perfect, deliberate mess, fell across his forehead and curled at the nape of his neck, framing eyes of the same depthless shade.
Those eyes scanned the crowd with lazy indifference, but there was something restless in them. Something that made passing strangers glance twice and then quickly look away.
A wide grin was on his face.
'When will Professor come?'
Just then,
Amon heard some surprised voices. People murmured while looking in a particular direction.
From the crowd, she came. His Professor Adelia.
Her bright green hair spilled in thick, glossy waves over her shoulders and down her back, vivid as new ferns after rain, shimmering with every tilt of her head.
Those striking yellow-gold eyes caught his across the road and held them warm, amused, and gentle. Her skin fair, smooth.
She wore a sundress the color of barely ripened peaches. Thin straps, a soft square neckline that framed the breathtaking swell of her breasts. Full, heavy, perfectly curved, rising with each slow breath against the delicate cotton.
The bodice hugged her like a lover's hands before skimming in at an impossibly narrow waist, then flaring gently over the generous curve of her hips.
The hem danced just below her knees, teasing with every warm breeze that pressed the fabric against her legs before letting it go again.
Bare shoulders gleamed. While cream-colored high heels made her look taller and elegant as they clicked against the street.
Amon stared at her with awe. His eyes locked on her approaching figure. He didn't utter a single word. He knew that she was the most beautiful professor in the whole academy. And he also thought the same. But today… she just looked too beautiful.
Adelia came and stood in front of him, a gentle smile playing on her lips.
"Amon. Close your mouth or a fly would enter it," Adelia teased him.
Amon snapped out of his trance.
A blush formed on his cheeks. He scratched his cheek awkwardly.
"Sorry for that, Professor… you just look breathtaking… I can't take my eyes off you." As always, Amon said it genuinely. Honestly.
Which had an effect on Adelia. Even her ears turned a shade of light pink.
She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"Thank you for the compliment, Amon. I appreciate it… and you also look handsome today," she said with a smile.
Amon smiled back at her. "I know that… I mean, I am just too charming."
Adelia shook her head with a chuckle. "Yes. Of course, you are too charming. So shall we go?"
Amon nodded. He turned to walk but stopped.
He remembered last night with Seraphina again.
'Should I do it?… she won't get offended, right?' he wondered.
His heart started to beat faster. But then again, chances like this wouldn't come this easily.
He exhaled.
Adelia, watching Amon remain still, asked him, "What happened, Amon? Why are you not moving?"
Amon met her yellow eyes. Then he extended his right hand to her.
Adelia gazed at his hand. His open palm. She understood what he was asking for. Her cheeks turned pink.
This boy was being too forward. She had never gone on a date with men before. Let alone holding hands and roaming in the city.
She should scold him. How could he ask something so shameful?
But for some reason, no words came out of her mouth.
Now she was wondering… why? Why, for a student...someone years younger than her—she was feeling something… very wrong. Her chest throbbed.
Ba-dump! Ba-dump!
She slowly outstretched her hand. Her soft palm touched Amon's.
The touch, warm against warm. Their fingers intertwined, locking with a natural ease. Amon felt like electricity shot through his body.
"L-listen. We need to be careful. We can't let other students see us like this. So just be careful." Adelia told him to be cautious. In the first place, why should they hold hands? To remain cautious, they shouldn't do this. At least they could make some excuses if someone found them. But if someone saw them holding hands like lovers… who would believe their excuses?
"Of course, Professor Adelia. I will be cautious."

Far away from Lunaris Haven.
In a huge dark chamber, huge pillars rose on both sides. The lanterns attached to each pillar gave soft light in the dark hall.
At the center of the hall stood a long, imposing table made of obsidian-black wood. Its polished surface reflected the faint light, and the chairs arranged around it were high-backed, carved with intricate design. Clearly meant for important gatherings, not casual meetings.
At the head of the table sat a man, his presence commanding even in the darkness. Only the lower half of his face was visible beneath the hood of his cloak, but the aura he gave off was unmistakably powerful.
The other seats around the table were occupied by figures clad in dark robes, their hoods drawn low. Each remained silent, their identities hidden, but the oppressive atmosphere suggested they were not ordinary individuals.
The chamber felt heavy. Not just with darkness, but with purpose.
The man at the head of the table finally spoke, his voice cold and commanding.
"Are all preparations complete?"
The robed figure to his right bowed slightly. "Yes, My Lord. Everything has been arranged exactly as you ordered."
The man rested his elbows on the table and clasped his hands, his chin settling atop them. Even then, his face remained in shadow.
"Good. Have you contacted the cultists? They will strike Lunaris City. While we help them from the shadows. None of our own should die there. The rest of you will attack the airship of Arcadia Academy above Greenveil Forest."
The same subordinate answered firmly, "We have already contacted them. We will not fail you, My Lord."
The man nodded slowly. "No matter what happens… this time, both of them must die. Seraphina Luminous. Arnold Bigod."
His cold voice echoed through the chamber like a sentence being pronounced.
Every person there stood on their feet. They bowed respectfully to the man.
"We will succeed!"
"We will succeed!"
"We will succeed!"
The robed figures responded in unison, their voices reverberating across the dark hall.

While Amon was enjoying his date, he didn't know what trouble he would face once they left Lunaris Haven.
