It's been a week since Amon started to learn a new sword style, and his training was going better. Now, he was able to slash a crescent-shaped horizontal arc of mana.
He had also caught up with his classes.
Everything was going amazing. This daily life was something Amon was enjoying too much.
Currently, he was following—no, tagging along with Marcus. Just for fun.
"Hey, commoner, why are you following me?" Marcus asked in an irritated tone.
"What do you mean following you? We're both going to the cafeteria since it's lunch time. So I just tagged along with you," Amon said casually, not caring how Marcus felt. He walked beside the irritated young master leisurely.
He was enjoying Marcus's grumbling.
"Then go with those two girls. Why are you following me?" Marcus's purple eyes fell on Amon.
Watching his calm and happy face only made Marcus more annoyed.
"They might already be at the cafeteria. Did you forget? We met at the washroom, man. Now I can't ask them to wait for me, can I?" Amon said with a big smirk.
"Aargh!" Marcus grumbled, increasing his speed as he strode forward faster, leaving Amon behind.
"Hehehe," Amon giggled and continued to follow him.

The cafeteria was filled with students.
Amon and Marcus, with their plates, were taking food.
After filling his plate with different kinds of food items, Amon said, "Hey Marcus, let's have lunch together."
He looked around and spotted the table where Seraphina and Eliana were having lunch.
"Look, they're already there—Seraphina and Eliana. Let's join them," Amon said, pointing in their direction.
Marcus followed his gaze. He saw Seraphina and Eliana sitting there, eating their lunch nicely.
"Hmph. I don't want to." Marcus denied immediately.
Amon raised an eyebrow.
"Really? Do you hate sitting with the Elf princess and the Duke's daughter that much?" Amon asked, squinting his eyes.
Marcus glared at him. "I don't mind sitting with them. The reason I'm not coming is you. You annoying man."
Amon didn't feel the least bit offended.
Rather, he chuckled.
"Hehe, come on, man~ why so shy?"
In the end, Amon managed to take Marcus with him.
"Hey Sera! Eli! I'm back again with our friend," Amon greeted both girls.
Seraphina and Eliana stopped chatting at the familiar voice. They both looked at Amon and the violet-haired boy beside him.
"Oh my~ You brought Marcus here. That's not easy, man," Eliana said with a giggle.
Amon sat in the chair beside Seraphina, putting his plate on the table.
"Hello, Marcus," Seraphina greeted him in a normal tone.
"Tch! I'm only sitting here because you two are here, not because of this guy," Marcus clicked his tongue as he slid the chair beside Eliana and sat down, across from Seraphina and Amon.
"He's too shy," Amon muttered to Seraphina. But it wasn't that low. Both Marcus and Eliana heard it.
Marcus gritted his teeth but didn't respond. Arguing with that boy was the last thing he should do now. He focused on his food instead.
Eliana just laughed, covering her mouth with her palm.
They continued to chat, mostly Eliana and Amon talked the most, while Seraphina chimed in from time to time.
Marcus, on the other hand, just sat quietly, though he was clearly getting annoyed. But he didn't hate it.
Amon finished his meal quite fast.
Just then, someone came to their table. The sound of heels clicking against the floor caught their attention.
Three of them stopped chatting as four pairs of eyes turned toward the newcomer.
She was none other than Selena Aurellian—their senior and the Student Council President.
"Hello there. Sorry if I'm interrupting all of you," she said with her cold, expressionless face.
Her red eyes locked onto Amon.
"But I wanted to have a talk with Amon… just the two of us. Since you've already eaten your lunch, Amon, why don't you follow me?"
The two nobles and one royal didn't even get time to greet the princess.
Just hearing her words made their eyes turn to Amon.
Amon was taken aback by her words-more so by those three pairs of eyes.
Seraphina's eyes were studying him curiously, her cute, aloof face unchanged.
Eliana's eyes curved into crescents, full of amusement and mischief.
And Marcus… his eyes were wide open in shock.
His lips were silently muttering something.
As if he was saying, this bastard is real.
"Cough!" Amon cleared his throat.
"Of course, Senior. How can I refuse you?" Amon ignored the stares and responded to Selena.
He calmly got up from his seat.
"Guys, continue your lunch. I'll go with her for a while."
Selena turned around and started to walk, Amon following quietly behind her.
The three students watched Amon's back until he disappeared outside the cafeteria.
"Ohh~ it seems the rumors about those two were true~," Eliana broke the silence.
Seraphina shook her head. "I don't think so, Eliana. She might just have something important to discuss about their mission," she said logically.
"Oh my~ Don't tell me… you're jealous," Eliana teased, not missing the chance to poke fun at her friend.
Seraphina frowned at her comment. "Why would I be jealous?" she asked in confusion.
"Hah… that guy really is a playboy, huh," Marcus said this time.
"Can't believe it, can we? To think a commoner is playing with the hearts of a royal princess, a duke's daughter, and even a professor," Eliana burst into laughter.
At this rate, Seraphina was already used to her antics and just shook her head tiredly.
Marcus sighed. He couldn't believe what was going on in this world.
---
Amon and Selena left the cafeteria. Entering the campus area, she led him toward a bench under a tree.
She sat on the wooden bench, and Amon followed her lead, sitting beside her.
It was afternoon, yet the breeze was cool. The tree above them made a sweet rustling sound in the wind. The distant chatter of students dissolved into the air.
They remained silent for a while, enjoying the moment.
"Senior, what did you want to talk to me about?" Amon asked, breaking the peaceful silence.
"I want you to come with me somewhere this weekend." Selena told him.
