Traxy listened excitedly. After eating, they bid farewell to the family of turtles. Ursela took him back to his old home.

It had been years since he left, however when he got there, the ground was still black and ashy with nothing growing on it.

Vermillion's flames had killed the soil itself. The rabbits and hippos looked haggard, their numbers hadn't grown at all and they seemed to just be scraping by.

The desolate feeling of loss still lingered in the air. Ved could feel it through them, his soul seemed to connect with every single spiritual beast around.

He could feel their emotions like they were his own, the sadness, the sorrow and the desire for more strength, especially in White, even now she was out alone, training. It was a disorienting feeling.

It seemed inheriting the authority of the king gave him more than just control over the minor world.

The king of beasts truly was the king of beasts and what better than a king who could feel their subject's desires, who can understand their sorrows and pain.

This connection has been passed down to him, he strangely didn't feel it on Ursela and the others, or rather it wasn't as strong but he had a feeling it was there.

Maybe it was because they were stronger than him, but Traxy, old man Goldi and Pulse weren't so that obviously wasn't it.

Ursela dropped him," Sort out everything you need to, call me when it's time to leave." She disappeared after that.

Ved descended from the sky and landed. Everybody turned their heads to look at him, White came running out like a bolt of lightning from within the forest.

She planted her body on his face, he could feel her emotions, sadness, longing and joy upon seeing him.

' Yes, yes I missed you too.' She jumped down and started jumping around him excitedly, telling him about her recent progress in her martial arts.

' That's really amazing, wait..' He could understand her, not just her emotions but fully understand her as if she was talking to him.

He knew she wasn't, her will hadn't grown strong enough to use will transmission yet so it was obviously because he was the new king of beasts.

' Had this old man gone senile? Why do I want to kneel down to you? Is this some sort of enchantment spell boy, because if it is, stop it, I don't want my old bones to kneel, they might break.'

He heard Goldi, his voice was playful but he could sense he was also serious. ' I feel the same, it's strange. You have some noble aura around you that makes me want to respect you, what's wrong with me?'

Pulse agreed with Goldi, her voice laced with confusion and obvious discomfort. It appeared that, although the connection was faint, it still effected them. Ved clicked his tongue. ' What do you mean what's wrong with you?

Are you implying respecting me is a disease?' she looked at him like he was crazy. ' Is that a trick question?'

Ved grinned, ' I should let you know I'm a king now, so you better mind your words your words you treasonous fat water pig.'

She scoffed, ' King my fat foot, you're still the snotty bratty lizard you've always been.' Ved laughed, he didn't take her words to heart, she's always been like this.

She was very kind and respectful to others but took dips at him any chance she got, so he understood, the feeling they talked about must be very uncomfortable for her.

' I succeeded on inheriting the king's legacy. We can move there now, oh and I've got a surprise for you ' He grinned.

' Surprise you say? What is it?' Goldi asked. Ved just grinned at him, ' If I tell you, it wouldn't be a surprise now would it?'

' Don't keep this old man waiting boy, what if I die of old age before we even get there.' Pulse scoffed, ' You're not even that old, you old goat, stop being dramatic.'

' To think I would even forget my own age, senile, oh I've truly gone senile.' Ved could swear he had heard this conversation a few times before.

He ignored the two of them and closed his eyes. He visualised huge carriages and then created them with his wax.

The young and the pregnant boarded the carriages while those who were stronger and large like Pulse and Ved himself started pulling them.

Ursela offered to help as well, she excitedly ran around with the carriage, scaring those inside it to death. Ved looked at her.

' Sometimes I forget that she's an old monster thousands of years old but who could blame me when she's this childish?'

He thought while running next to her, competing on who was faster. They moved slow so their journey took almost an entire month but they eventually reached the centre without any issues.

Nimue came to receive them, with a wave of her hand, she formed a water bridge above the lake and they passed through it.

Old man Goldi took a deep breath the moment they touched the island. ' The sir here is so fresh, the essence is so thick I can feel the cracks in my old bones healing.'

He wasn't lying about that, his bones still had cracks, not because they're old but because it was almost impossible for him to remove the residual energy from Vermillion's flames.

The same energy that made it hard for Ved's regeneration to work, prevented Goldi and Pulse from healing properly.

However on this island, not only was their essence absorption speed faster but their wounds started healing.

He introduced the family of three to everybody. Goldi stepped forward and bowed to Nimue, ' Oh what a blessing for this old soul to meet such a beautiful lady, I would die happy if I could just get a ki...'

BOOOOM, found his head planted on the ground before he could finish his sentence. Pulse had stomped on him ' Shameless old goat'.

She bowed to Nimue, ' I apologize for this old frog's behaviour.' Nimue just smiled, " it's fine, children will be playful." Novak laughed, his voice booming through the entire island.

" What an interesting kid, fine, I'll give you my wife and see how you las..." He couldn't even finish his sentence before he found himself flying through the air and disappeared above the clouds.

Nimue brushed off her hands and scoffed. Then smiled towards the others. Ved smiled softly and led them towards the mountain.

However they stopped a few metres away from it. ' Boy, I feel a dangerous aura around this mountain, I can sense a very powerful pressure and I'm afraid my old bones can't handle it.'

' Yeah me too.' Pulse agreed as well. He looked at everybody and they all nodded, ' Strange, I don't feel anything like that at all.'

Nimue giggled, " ofcourse you don't, you're the master of the mountain, the restriction does not work on you." Ved looked at her.

' So does that mean nobody else can climb the mountain?' she nodded " According to legends, this mountain was created from the king's reverse scale, climbing it is considered disrespectful.

Only trial takers and the king himself could climb it, ofcourse once you're strong enough, as the king you can grant permission to others to climb it" Ved nodded, ' I see, I guess we'll use the teleportation array for now then but first, you should get yourselves settled.'

He wanted them to live directly on the mountain but it seemed that wasn't possible as of now.
