Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 137: Subduing The Queen

Ved followed the spider, he was flying at a leisurely pace while munching on roasted meat.

The earth below him was a realm of devastation for over two thousand kilometres. Corpses of low rank beasts filled the huge crevices on the earth.

New hills and mountains had risen. The spider had ran 9 thousand kilometres away to a mountain riddled with holes like a nest of bees.

She was gravely wounded, with green blood leaking all over her body but her wounds were healing slowly.

The reason she was this wounded was because she protected her four children during the mayhem.

But even so, they still suffered some wounds as well but none of them died. Ved watched them enter this mountain.

He unfurled his wings and dropped to the ground but he stopped himself before he crashed and landed gently.

Then he followed them inside, his stealth was still active making him invisible to soul sense.

After he walked inside for a few dozen metres he started seeing eggs, thousands upon thousands of eggs, strewn to the walls and ground with webs.

The eggs were pulsing with life, each as large as an ostrich egg. He walked around them gently trying his best not to step on any of them.

' So this is where she create her soldiers?, Quite a large army.' he continued walking further in until he came out to a much larger cave.

It roof was around 70 metres high and the cave had a diameter of over a kilometre which was very huge.

At the end of the cave he saw her and her four children. Behind them were two eggs larger than the others and they felt different as well.

' Those must be her children.' all five of them saw him the moment he entered. The four young spiders stood infront of their mother defensively.

Ved knew his king's authority had no effect on them, afterall, spiders didn't count as beasts but were members of the insectoid race if they had spirituality and demonic insect if they didn't.

The mother spider stood up and looked at him with vigilance, Ved's aura was hidden so they couldn't tell how strong he really was but she knew he was dangerous.

' Who are you and what are you doing in my home?' Ved just sat down, ' You're wounded, I'll wait, I don't want you to say it wasn't fair.' his meat tray floated in and he placed it next to him.

The queen of spiders growled, ' How arrogant, leave my home while you're still can, intruder.' Ved ignored her and ripped off a piece of meat.

This angered the queen of spiders but she wasn't a mindless beast nor a fool. She didn't attack Ved and waited until her wounds healed completely which took an entire month.

' Foolish one, your arrogance will be your undoing.' Ved didn't bother responding, he knew the only way to subdue her would be a demonstration of absolute strength.

She shot hundreds of acid bullets at him, a shield of wax appeared and blocked them. Then hundreds of white sword appeared around him.

They pointed at her and flew like streaks of light. She used her web to create a net to block the swords but only managed to block a few dozen.

The rest cut the net like butter and continued flying towards her. She was forced to dodge but as if they had a mind of their own, the swords changed direction and chased her.

She ran around on the wall, dodging the flying swords. The cave wall kept shattering behind her as the sword stabbed through it.

She kicked off the cave wall and flew at him. Lightning danced around his body and a bolt shot towards her like a spear.

Even though his lightning was not as fast as natural lightning, it was still incredibly fast. She wasn't able to react in time and dodging was made even harder by her being mid air.

She tried to tilt her body to the side but it was not enough, the bolt landed on her stomach blasting a hole the size of a bowling ball, a jet of green blood flew to the air like a fountain.

She flew back like a meteor and crashed on the cave wall forming a huge crater and causing the entire mountain to shake.

She glared at Ved with rage but beneath the anger there was a hint of fear, afterall Ved had not moved a single inch since the fight started and he was just eating like it was a picnic to him.

Queen Spider POV

' Damn it damn it damn it, why why why is he this strong?' she created thousands of acid bullets and fired them at him, at the same time she created a pool of web below her.

Thousands of small white shields spun around him and blocked the barrage of acid bullets. He still did not even look at her, the disregard angered her even more but also terrified her.

She had never felt this helpless before, not even when she faced that muscle brain of the red plains.

Standing against this monster made her feel as weak and helpless as she was before awakening, her memories of that time were fuzzy but still there, she still couldn't sense his aura but she knew she had no hope of defeating him.

The difference between them was too vast, but she atleast had to buy enough time for her children to run, as long as her offsprings survived and her bloodline continued, she didn't mind dying.

She issued the order to them, they seemed reluctant but with her sterm reprimand they relented and took her two eggs and ran off but to her horror.

The beast cut his own rist, blood flowed out and gathered into four clumps and he took four pieces of his scales and merged them with the blood.

Then they suddenly changed and turned into four smaller versions of himself, each only around 2 metres long but their auras surpassed that of her children.

Before her children could leave the cave the four clones blocked their path. She felt fear and despair grasp her heart tightly.

The web below surged and transformed into a gigantic spider, smaller than the one she used against the human but faster, it fangs were laced with venom.

The beast finally looked at her and sighed, ' It seems you won't calm down until I make you, so be it.'

He stood up and faced her, his aura blasted, blue and red energy ribbons danced around him, a tremendous aura pressed on her like a mountain.

Purple lightning flickered across his wings, ' By the old mother, what kind of monster invaded my home?' that was her last thought before he flapped his wings and disappeared.
