Orochi had lost two of his heads and the Vajra had lost the hand with a shield. While Orochi's heads were regenerating slowly, the Vajra had completely lost the arm.

Ved knew they were pissed, he turned around and flew off. They chased after him turning into streak of light that drew across the sky, they occasionally threw attacks his way.

The sky shook, Ved turned and fired nuclear blasts like a rain of bullets. Blue clouds of fire stretched through the sky for tens of kilometres.

But it was not enough to stop them. Their battle happened across all of Japan, shockwaves even reached the edges of Korea.

Lower ranked beasts cowered and hid beneath the ground. Even humans dared not leave the safety of the city barriers lest they get caught up in the shockwaves.

The two of them started focusing their attacks more on Ved, wounds started accumulating faster than he can heal them.

But instead of being scared, he became excited instead. They battle took them above the sea, the Vajra attacked Ved with it giant saber.

He knew if it landed it would probably cut him in half, though he doubted if that would be enough to kill him, it would still lead to his defeat.

However he couldn't dodge as it was moving too fast and he didn't have anything in his arsenal to block it.

He did the only thing he could think of, he created thousands of giant ropes using his web, then used them to bound the Vajra's arm.

The ropes broke one after another but more and more came, eventually the saber dropping towards Ved like a guillotine lost it momentum.

Before Ved could celebrate, a giant serpent dragon made of red flames that burnt the sky itself swallowed him.

His scales turned red in seconds, his blood boiled and the dragon swam through the sky with him between it teeth. Ved gritted his teeth and braved through the pain.

He wasn't going to stand still and let it continue to burn him though, he slashed his claws and broke a massive hole through the dragon's head.

Just as he was about to fly out of it mouth it suddenly inflated like a balloon, he knew what was coming and he knew it was going to be bad for him.

He activated his soul force without a second thought, a pitch black light that emitted a sharp aura covered his body like armour, then he created a three layered cocoon around himself.

He wanted to create more layers but there was not enough time. The flame dragon exploded, a ball of fire spread out, lighting up the sky like a small sun.

The heat was so intense it boiled the sea a thousand kilometres below. Ved appeared, his cocoon had melted completely and he had lost a lot of his scales.

Burn marks covered his entire body, he coughed up smoke and dried blood. His regeneration trait started healing him.

Fortunately the two of them were currently facing each other and not paying much attention to him which gave him a chance to heal.

When he was fully healed he jumped back into the fight, with soul force active, his strength had increased substantially.

He started pushing back both of them, he was too fast for them to land attacks often and when they did, his soul force cut through them like a hot knife through butter.

Realising they were being pushed back they activated their soul force as well. Each of Orochi's heads had it own soul force which corresponded to the element of said head.

This was the first time Ved had seen someone with so many different soul force. However for some reason the soul force felt like one, even his increase in overall strength was not different from any other soul force.

The monk on the other hand glowed gold, even brighter than before. A golden light appeared around each of it five remaining weapons.

It dipped it pain brush in the golden ink bowl and drew hundreds of arrays in the air, it was done before the two of them could stop it.

Giant chains as thick as doors flew out of the arrays and danced through the air like massive golden snakes.

The chains had pointed spikes at the end, as sharp as the sharpest spears. Ved instinctively knew being hit by those things would not be good for his health.

Orochi's two heads had fully regenerated by this point. " Do you benefactors still intend to continue fighting?" Ved glared at the monk then grinned, his sharp teeth gleaming like daggers.

In response to the question, he lunged at the Vajra, the golden chains flew to intercept him. Hundreds of massive chains chasing after him through the air.

Ved swam through the air as agile as a fish in water, dodging every single one of the chains. Although he made it look effortless, it was anything but.

The chains were incredibly fast, the air screamed with the sounds of ripping cloth wherever they passed.

As he got closer to the Vajra the more concentrated the chains became, he found it harder to maneuver around them and was forced to retreat.

But he was not discouraged, instead he lunged towards Orochi, the chains chased after him. Orochi realised what Ved was doing.

He created thousands upon thousands of rocks and they started spinning around him forming a sphere.

Ved had no chance to get through that but he didn't have to, the Vajra's chains collided with the rock barrier instead.

A massive shockwave followed by flying rock fragments exploded out. Their battle continued, abilities filled the sky, thousands of kilometres of the sea and sky were effected.

Nothing alive dared to come close to this battlefield. As the fight continued, the more excited Ved became and he could see Orochi grinning as well.

The sky thundered above the sea of Japan for months with shockwaves so powerful they created waves as tall as skyscrapers.

The shores of Japan and Korea sank under calamitous tsunamis. Their battle took place across the sky and the ground causing quakes that could be felt all the way to China.

Months into the battle, they were very low in energy at this point. Ved could understand why he and Orochi lasted for so long, they mostly fought with their bodies which only uses stamina.

Their regeneration abilities can regenerate stamina and essence energy in the case of Orochi but it made no sense for the monk to have so much essence energy.

However Ved knew the fight was about to end. They were in a three way stand off, the sun rose from the east bringing light upon the world.

The two were about to attack but then swayed. The Vajra suddenly crumbled, the monk almost dropped from the sky.

Ved had a small grin, ' Took long enough.' he thought. As the sun rose, it was finally Ved's 33th birthday.
