Vermilion looked at the spearman with disdain. He grabbed his arm and incinerated it into ash stopping the spread of the black death

Normally cutting off the effected appenditure wouldn't be enough to get rid of the black death as long as Ved's will was still attached to you and removing his will was incredibly hard.

However somebody as powerful as Vermilion wes able to do that and made it look easy.

Vermilion then looked at the black mist and waved his hand. A wave of fire spread out covering the entire space.

A war of dominance between flame and mist waged around then. However Ved found his black mist being at a disadvantage.

After some time, the flames managed to burn off the mist entirely but most of the flames had been used up in the process.

A testament of how tenacious the black death truly was. Vermilion frowned, Ved knew the fight with him was going to be hard.

He knew he had no hope of winning but he at least wanted to deliver some damage to the red prince.

So Ved attacked first. His body flew at Vermilion like a sword. His claws gleamed like metal as he stabbed.

Vermilion, powerful as he was didn't dare collide head on with Ved using his body. Flames ignited below his feet and he shot up like a rocket.

However Ved just grinned and didn't change cause. They all realised too late what he was trying to do, the spearman's eyes opened wide with fear and panic.

He tried to retreat, a silver soul force appeared around his spear and condensed on the tip increasing it power by multiple times.

The man screamed and stabbed at Ved. Ved dodged to the side, a silver spear projection flew out and missed him by a few centimetres.

The spear projection continued on it path until it hit the barrier wall on the other end. The entire barrier shook as if it would collapse.

Seeing that he missed, the man panicked and tried to attack again but he found his body refusing to move.

When he looked he found himself bound by invisible strings, even now he couldn't see them but he could clearly feel them slicing into his skin.

Ved lunged at him, his mouth opened wide like the gate to the abyss. The man watched as the massive maw came at him as if to swallow him whole.

His body shook with fear, he couldn't control himself and wet his pants. Vermilion tried to intervene but it was too late, even with his speed he wouldn't be able to stop Ved in time.

In disgust Ved bit the man's upper body leaving the lower body untouched. A crunchy feeling entered as his mouth as he crushed the man's steel hard bones.

A sweet taste filled his tongue, blood dripped from the conor of his mouth. He heard a system notification but had no time to check it.

He jumped to the side, a massive flame hand crashed where he was standing. A shockwave of burning hot air spread out igniting the air on it way.

The ground melted forming a huge lake of lava. Ved flapped his wings and took to the sky then fired a bolt of lightning at Vermilion who dispersed it with a fireball.

Ved was neither surprised nor distraught by this, he never expected that lightning bolt to do anything, he just didn't want to be the only one being attacked.

The two of them stood in the air facing each other for a moment. Then tens of thousands of fire weapons appeared behind Vermilion.

They filled the sky like clouds stretching for tens of kilometres into the air. Ved was not to be outdone.

He created tens of thousands of white weapons, even more numerous than Vermilion's, they hung in the air threateningly.

Then they both attacked. The weapons flew like streaks of lights colliding mid air. Shockwaves shook the sky and the ground.

The sound like roaring thunder filled the air and the temperature rose so high the world shimmered like he was watching it through a cloud of steam.

Ved could tell immediately that his weapons were weaker than Vermilion's but they outnumbered his by at least 4 to 1, it was only because of that that a stalemate was reached.

Ved kept his eyes on Vermilion, he thought about using dream mist since it can be invisible and hard to detect but decided against it.

Vermilion's flames would just burn it away, even the temperature around his body was hot enough to melt metal in seconds, there was no way his fire invulnerable dream mist would work.

However that didn't mean he was out of options. Vermilion had no artefacts, or at least none Ved could see, he was expecting something to happen.

' Right about now.' he grinned expecting to hear Vermilion screaming and blood flying but what he saw shattered that fantasy.

Sparks flew around Vermilion's hand which was gripping a spinning disk. Ved stood still, he couldn't understand how this happened.

Vermilion scoffed, " Did you really think I wouldn't be able to see such an obvious attack, you underestimate me beast or perhaps you think too highly of yourself."

This development left Ved shaken, ' What happened, can he see through my stealth? No that shouldn't be possible, even Ursula's soul sense couldn't see through it.

Wind shifts? No,that can't be it either, with so many storms and heavy winds, that should be impossible, even for him.' Ved thought as he looked at the tornadoes connecting the heavens and the earth around them.

Then he turned and looked at Vermilion who was looking at him with mocking grin, contempt apparent in his eyes.

Ved felt his anger rise at being looked down like that. However he needed to figure out how Vermilion discovered his hidden attack.

He fired a nuclear blast which exploded Infront of Vermilion blocking his view of Ved for a second.

In that split second Ved created five spinning disks, coated them with stealth and sent them flying at Vermilion then watched.
