She lunged at Ogaba with her sword in hand. On her way she attacked a rank 4 orc standing next to Ogaba.
Before anybody could react they saw a massive red head sailing through the air. The orc didn't even have a chance to scream before dying.
Ogaba reacted immediately after. He raised his axe and blocked her sword. The force traveled through her arms shaking her bones.
She gritted her teeth and kicked him on the face, used his face as a platform to jump back.
Ogaba looked at her coldly. He raised his fist and lowered it. The orcs roared and lunged at the human army.
The humans reacted a moment later. Guns blazed, enhanced bullets flew like streaks of blue light.
The lower ranked orcs were riddled with holes but they were tough and they could regenerate.
It would take more than a few bullets to take them down. The armies collided and blood and limbs flew through the air.
The orcs ripped the humans apart. Although vastly superior in numbers the humans were at a disadvantage immediately.
After all most of their numbers were made up of rank 1 and 2 vessel holders. Their abilities would be useless in this fight.
They had to depend on the guns. However with the orcs so close and moving so fast, it was hard for them to accurately shoot them.
Some ended up shooting their own. However the battle wasn't entirely one sided. With an entire rain of rank 3 bullets heading their way, some orcs succumbed before their bodies could regenerate.
Not to mention the humans had strong characters like Mr Sugar and the daggers woman.
Mr Sugar ran through the army of orcs like a serpent. His spear only leaving minor injuries on their bodies.
The orcs disregarded those wounds but didn't live to regret it as poison liquefied their organs and they died agonizing deaths. The battle shook the earth yet the ice below held firm, a testament of it might.
Only those powerful monsters could even leave cracks on it. As the fight raged on, the orcs noticed something was wrong.
They figured it out a moment later. The humans appeared inexhaustible, if they didn't die immediately, they would be back in the fight a second later.
One of the rank 4 orcs that was fighting Cat looked around and saw a woman standing at the back of the army.
A green aura surrounded her forming a wide domain. Every human inside this domain had their wounds healed even faster than the orcs could regenerate.
The most terrifying thing though was that she wasn't just healing their wounds but regenerating their essence energy as well.
The orc growled and lunged at her. However a massive figure even larger than himself suddenly appeared Infront of her blocking his path.
The orc was caught off guard and had no time to react before an energy axe took his head off.
Cat looked back, seeing her mother was safe she grinned. She was single handedly fighting 11 orcs yet she was still holding her own.
The orcs only had 28 remaining rank 4. She took 11, Aira took 6. Her battle was the least interesting.
Her vessel was not a battle type so she couldn't kill so many rank 4 orcs by herself so she trapped them.
She created a prison with thousands of layers. Everytime they broke out of one layer they would find another.
The worst part was the pieces of the broken layers would reconstruct forming an extra layer.
Even Cat feared this ability of hers, breaking out was incredibly hard. As long as she had essence she could keep this up forever.
The most terrifying though in a different way was Siri. As soon as blew her flute, portals appeared around her.
From them came out an army of beasts 600 strong. Most were rank 3 but amongst them were 8 rank 4.
The only problem was, these beasts weren't particularly strong, it took multiple of them to face off against a single orc of the same rank.
The terrifying part was that, her beast army was nearly unkillable. After reaching rank 4, she was able to link her tamed beasts to herself.
As long as she lives, they would not die and could regenerate for as long as she had essence energy.
And killing her was incredibly hard. She was surrounded by a massive black snakes whose main ability is simply defence.
It offensive abilities were lacking but in exchange, it scales were as hard as that of a dragon.
Even Cat had trouble breaking through them. Siri was also facing more than one opponent.
General Ndlovu was struggling against a single orc but his ability gave him insane defence and physical strength, allowing him to hold his own.
Especially since he had Chiko providing support from behind. Chiko was a long range specialist with a bow vessel. He was able to provide support for the entire army, lessening the pressure on them.
Even outnumbered the battle amongst rank 4 reached a stalemate due to their individual strength. None gaining an advantage over the other.
The orcs were greatly shaken by this. The lower ranked human soldiers were weaker than orcs of the same rank on average.
Yet these rank 4 expert were so abnormally strong they could fight multiple orcs at once. The difference was too great and shocking.
But none of it actually mattered. Everybody knew the outcome would be determined by the battle of those two monsters.
And everybody already knew the results. Naledi was struggling and barely holding on, her tiny body danced around Ogaba like a bolt of lightning.
However he was faster and stronger than her. The only reason she had lasted so long is simply because she was a better martial artist.
Ogaba relied too much on his physical strength disregarding martial techniques. She on the other hand knew how to achieve the best result while using minimal energy.
However it wasn't easy, she was under constant pressure. A single mistake and she was dead.
She spun mid air dodging his swing. She could feel her muscles strain with every movement.
She was constantly pushing it beyond it limits and it was placing a massive strain on her.
She gently tapped her foot on the handle of the axe. Lowered her weight as much as she could and lunged at his face.
Her sword went straight for his eye. He grinned and opened his mouth. Her eyes opened wide with surprise but it was too late.
A jet of flames hit her and sent her flying back. Her clothes and hair caught on fire, she crashed on the ice and rolled for hundreds of meters.
Then she jumped up and took a defensive stance expecting him to attack her but no attack came. Instead he turned his attention towards Cathra.
" Auntie Cathra." She whispered and kicked off the ice. She wasn't the only one to notice.
Cathra was currently defenceless, Ndu and Haruko who were supposed to be protecting her were currently occupied.
Ogaba raised his axe, flames condensed around it. Time seemed to slow down, Cat seeing her mother in danger roared.
She punched the orc Infront of her sending him reeling back and jumped Infront of her mother to protect her.
Everybody turned and looked but it was too late. Ndu moved, Ogaba swung his axe down sending a massive crescent slash that reached the sky.
The slash appeared Infront of Cat in a split second. ' I'm not gonna make it.' Naledi panicked and pushed her body to her limit. She was about to forcefully use her essence.
Then Cat pulled back her fist to punch the oncoming attack. The was a flash of golden light and blood flew through the air.
" NOOOOOOO." Naledi screamed.
